Ahoj Time! Jsi opravdu odvážný! Obdivuji tě! Nejlepší je stejně rozbalovat ty krabice v očekávání o v nich je za poklad. I ten sestup k vodě nebyl zrovna jednoduchý! Klobouk dolů! Ráda se dívám na tvoje videa. Vždy něčím překvapí! Diky! 👍🌿👋💚
Cleaning up after a storm is always such a tough job. Sorry about your mess, Tim. Loved the walk down to the creek and the owl and deer. Great that you got a generator, sounds like it will be used frequently. 🥰❤
Thanks for sharing the wildlife excursion to the creek, it’s always good to see wildlife thriving (even if they eat your rye). A generator is a must for many people where I live, even in the suburbs, because the wild hot/cold temps we fluctuate between really stresses our grid. That seems to have been a great purchase and I hope you and your neighbor get your power back on soon.
Great price for the genny, hope it lives up to it's first test. Prior to storms and suspected power outages, we used to place a bucket of water next to the loo. An owl used to live near the house, has us tricked initially, thought a neighbour's dog was trapped/injured/etc, so around midnight with torches in hand, went searching for the trapped or injured 'dog'. Fortunately it barked while I was standing under the tree where it was perched, shined my torch overhead and knew immediately it was the Barking Owl and not a dog. Driving our bush track at night, assume the same owl would swoop and fly just above the car (high beam + driving lights etc due to bush track) and it would catch mice/frogs/etc visible in the light beam. One night it misjudged and hit DH's car, first the grill, then across the bonnet, up the windscreen and then the roof...all figured out in daylight the next day by the huge imprint of feather-talc, claw scratches, broken antenna and rear-vision mirror. DH on his way to work (night shift) didn't have time to stop, called me to go searching and I found the owl with ruffled feathers sitting high in a tree looking a bit shaken..went back to check on him the next night, took some frogs I caught for him and he seemed OK.
Great video Tim. Ive bought a few things from Edisons. Some good, some not so good. You were absolutely correct, the last few days weren't pleasant. Love the walk down to what i imagine is C***** creek. You may have to do a bass fishing video when it settles down again. Owls are freaky things😅
I bought the genpower 7000 version for my folks because of the push button start, so far so good handles 2 fridges, exhaust fan, a pump, and lighting. So far so good. Im sure youll read the manual, (like we all do ...) after first 5 hours use change the oil. I also bought, based on the generator, a lawnmower Bauer 840sx, going from an old Victa commando to this self propelled model was so damn good. Would be good if Edisons let you evaluate some of their equipment. Thanks Tim all the best!
Gives me PTSD to watch flooding! From the mtns of North Carolina where Helene hit. We didn't have to worry about water (we have a spring) but generator yes. 15 days without electricity and two days in from the storm we were driving treachorous roads to get to the next town to get gas for it. Thank goodness they had it. Stock up on fuel for sure and oil. Ours kept us going and we would have been in bad shape without it. I was very please in the investment of it. Kept our refrigerator, freezer, lights, computers and tv going once we had wifi. That was on day 3 or 4. We paid around $1000 for ours but it can run the whole house if needed (small house about 1300 sq ft). Best investment we ever made.
Having a look at birdsinbackyards that seems to be a Powerful Owl, Ninox strenua, the biggest Australian Owl. They nest in hollows in large old trees so try and keep your old trees, even dead ones if you can.
The main thing with generator if you are not using them on a regular basis, drain fuel from the tank and run the machine till all fuel is gone from carby, other wise the day that you really need it ,it will not start and run right as the fuel has gone bad, ask me as I found out the hard way with mine.
We'd like to think the power will always be on, but that is not the case. Living in Darwin, we get some pretty decent storms at this time of the year. A few years back our suburb (one of many) lost power for a week. Genies were flying out the Bunnings door. Many businesses lost stock, nit mention faith in the NT government, as they promised for years to convert overhead powerlines to underground. We're still waiting. Stay safe.
With all those trees down Maybe next tool review should b a chipper/mulcher of some description..not a big trailer mounted 1 but something a little smaller 4 properties like yours 🤘
i used a 2.2kva honda, was enough for pressure pump and washing machine, BUT its crazy $$$ . a good size is over 3.5 kva,, so you can say, boil the kettle whilst pressure pump running for example.
Solar and battery generator just put the potable solar panels outside the plug it in the battery done in 30 seconds. So much easier than stuffing around with oil and petrol.
Tim i know but off topic i don't know if you would do this but I'll shall ask anyway are you able to show how to clean the milwaukee battery lawn mower with the hose under the steel deck ? Or any battery mower i am paranoid to use the hose i love keeping my mowers clean. Cheers be a good short video to educating people who else want to know.. 😅 cheers mate
WOW!! What a mess to your beautiful property resulting from the storm. If only Los Angeles, Calif, USA could receive some of that rain to assist with the disastrously sad and overwhelmingly horrible situation from the still active wildfires---
Nice review Tim. Would be great if A company like Tesla or similar would get on board with some solar panels and batteries for your home. Would be great exposure for there product and get you off grid powering your own your own home and tools
Maybe put the generator into economy mode. It’ll only rev up when a load is on. Also, out of interest, what sort of extraction licence do you need to take water from a creek in NSW?
Absolutely loved watching that walk through the trees.

Another 24 hrs at this stage is the estimate. Super happy I bought it today

WOW tim had no idea it has been like that . I might see on the news later.
The max output is the startup number but its running number is the lower output

Thank you for doing what you're doing and sharing Tim
The good the bad and the flooding

lol we love your stuff ups Tim it shows your human like all of us. 😂

We have snow here 17 degrees here this Thursday morning where I’m at here in America I have a small generator to but want to get a bigger one

We have a chipper on the way to try. Up to 70mm capacity 👌

Oh it’s really not that bad, just inconvenient. Nothing near overseas
Nice review Tim.

I’d definitely wouldn’t call it a review. Just a bit of a Quick Look. I know nothing about them. Thank you though
Videos would be very short without ur stuff ups 🤣 priceless

Domestic and Stock Rights
Did you read the manual 😅
What do you think 😂
@turfandtools who reads the RTFM
That’s a powerful owl. It will eat possums , small wallabies and your dogs. Be careful
Surely u could of read the instructions that would of clearly given u all the correct levels
