Howdy! New subscribers here. Thanks for sharing this video. After watching we booked a site in this park for November while we’ll be visiting friends in the area. We used to have a Retro 189R and it was a great camper, but last year we bought a new Lance 1172 truck bed camper. Safe travels!
Hey Doug We especially enjoy Louisiana campgrounds in the cooler months and Fairview is a good choice. Its nice to hear good things from someone that has had a 189r, we love it! Out of curiosity I just looked at the 1172, WOW! That's of a monster truck camper😀! Congrats! Maybe we'll see yall out and about one day. @@RetroRVRecon Carol and I are located in far north Texas and will be taking our truck camper to the Florida panhandle in the fall. It will be our first time to visit Florida! Our stay in Louisiana will be on the return trip to see friends who live minutes from Fairview park. Yes! The Lance 1172 is a BIG truck camper for sure. We’ve owned two travel trailers and a fifth wheel. This is our first truck camper and we really like it. Maybe someday our paths will cross! May God bless you both!

I’m pretty sure that was us in the Whitewater Retro that you referred to in the video! We were at site 25 Nov 5th-7th in an aqua Retro 177.
