    I remember 27 years ago when PORTO's was just a small mom and pops bakery in Glendale, CA, we were the only Filipinos I knew that regularly went there to buy Porto's special empanada. The guava empanada was 3 for a $1 and the meat variety was $.50 each.
    That was Porto's then and look at them now in their huge Burbank facility attracting every ethnicity with their now expanded selection of fresh daily delectable pastries, cakes, soups, and pasta. There is always a big line at any given day or time at Porto's. Mrs. Fields cookies started out in her own kitchen, EMPANADA Project I hope finds its own identity.

    Just had this and its the best. We will visit here again when we are in the LA area.
