Whaaat? Nah, rwbys seasons 1-3 character designs werent bad. I mean, yeah they couldve improved the animation, but i liked the design. However, it is nowhere near as bad as rwby vol 4+. Thats where it got bad. The character models were ugly, and made mmd actually look better. The colors were way too bland and dull.

F2nd: Classic, even though the hair looks waaayy too greyish? FT: it's ft alright. good as always, actually this is one of the songs that really fit FT's more realistic shading, and it also doens't look washed out like, say, World is Mine. Mega39s: my eyes sis...

I still stand by Megamix looking better than Future tone, and the F games looking the best. It's just a shame the characters look brighter than their surroundings since they didn't apply the same toonshading filter onto the stages as well.

Megamix is a bit oversaturated, but the animated look is definitely the way to go with Vocaloid. Future Tone puts the superior power of the PS4 on display with its detailed backgrounds and lighting engine, but the characters' faces are jarringly doll-like next to them. F2's models beat FT, but its backgrounds are weaker than the Switch, and it's framerate really hurts it. They all look fine, but Mega has the best combination of expressiveness, cohesive style, and frames. I just wish the bright backgrounds didn't camouflage the notes so easily, and that the Switch had a better controller for it.
I know people are roasting megamix and I can understand why. But I'm honestly just happy I can finally play a project diva game while in quarintine and not having to buy a ps4
FutureTone: dated but what a waste. (background/stage has better ambient than character) 39s: better texture & ambient but you had one job. (over post processing glow). f2nd: outdated but well balance without shadows. (original flavor)
I like future tone the most mega mix is too pink greasy and shiny and F2nd is really good too but I think futuretone looks more realistic and beautiful
i feel like people just like Mega39 just because of its compatibility without realizing they’re being completely ripped off. personally i’ll always prefer future tone over mega39 because the toon shader is frankly driving me insane. and i wouldn’t want to rebuy old content just for 10 new songs.
10 new songs that are also getting ported as DLC to FT* Also all of the DLC for Future Tone and the base game is the same or less than megamix and has more songs
I think I like the shiny hair in this one, but I still can't stand how megamix's toon shader destroys detail in the faces. You can't see her nose and so many whites end up over blown.

OMG, I'd never noticed that f2 didn't have her shadow in it! The ending scenes look so much better with a shadow. :)
She has a very very slight shadow wich you can just barely see in the elevator part
