  • Take a look at a 1-on-1 private session between Steve from BK Hockey and 10-year-old Roman Marcotte. Steve runs Roman through a variety of great drills to work on his stickhandling that you can use within your own hockey training.
    At just 10-years-old Roman has some impressive hands and a great attitude. Nice work buddy!

    Everybody talking about talent. This boy is training hard and that is why he is good. I bet he trains at least 5x a week on ice. Of course he has talent , but he puts the effort in to it aswell

      You are right, I see that everywhere on youtube. Phenoms or prodigies! These kids specialize in a sport at a young age and work hard and this is why you see good results. Of course he has talent, I don't deny that. I hope his progression curve will keep going up for the next 10-12 years. We will see. I hope he does other sports which would make him a even better athlete and help him improving.

    I have a quick question. What is the difference between shooting off your inside foot and your outside foot if you're a right-handed shot? when should you shoot off your inside foot or outside foot?

    • @matttyhockey4970
      @matttyhockey4970 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In strides, you will see mostly outside foot. Standing you will see mostly inside foot or botth feet like Crosby does. Some players like better the inside foot, others the outside foot. Brett Hull and Ovechkin are the best examples of outside foot masters.

    Very good talent for his age. Very good talent for the coach also. I see lots of videos of players that are supposedly phenoms. A big fact, is that the average NHL player right now is 6'1 and 210 lbs. I'm sure it will be even higher in another decade. Not to discourage anyone, but just a simple fact.

    Roman is a good skater like my boy and his puck handling skills are very good too. However, in puck handling and comtrol I can honeslty say my boy has the slight advantage for the time being. I would love to have my son and Roman on the ice together. I bet it would be a sight to see.
