Ps, if I am using a controller for automatic water change or automatic topoff, I want to know the water levels in the containers and tanks.
I have no use for a pump that 'goes backwards', what is that for?

Thank you for your feedback. These dosing pumps are an option provided to customers. It seems like these pumps might not be suitable for your setup, but they could be useful for someone else. If you are in need of pumps that can adjust to your specified speed, we recommend considering the X10. These pumps can operate in reverse, which can be helpful for testing Alkalinity by facilitating the addition and removal of water from a container using the same pump. Although this feature may not be applicable to your specific situation, it may meet the needs of others. Everyone has different requirements and applications.

A dosing pump with a set speed is hardly useless. By controlling the on time, you control the volume dispensed. Many dosing pumps operate in the same fashion. A pump that operates in reverse can move liquids back and forth between two containers-ie. one less pump required to fill the container and empty it. Your post came across slightly aggressive, but perhaps you just didn’t understand what they are saying?
