I thought I would prefer the urushi lacquer pens over anything else, but that second Jonathan Brooks pen you showed off with the matte finish was mesmerizing. A very pleasing video that I watched from start to finish. It is fantastic to see David's incredible pens. A video version of Comfort Food for a pen aficionado.

I recently became obsessed with fountain pens because of you Peter. David has a really awesome collection, I think my favorite is the blues pen with the harpoon nib.

Right off the bat I'd say Peter did an awesome job playing host in this video, well done especially when you consider that his videos are entirely solo.

It's like Peter made sure all the doors were locked before filming but forgot a hatch in the ceiling so hes looking up every 5 minutes to look out for PEN THIEVES, can never be too safe.

The ink on that Nakaya is killing me -- gorgeous. And this was really useful for me to see fountain pens evaluated not as writing instruments but as drawing instruments. I don't think there is another video out there that does this.

I don't know why, but seeing Peter all excited around those expensive pens makes me so nervous!
It reminds me of when you're introducing a baby to his sibling, you really want to see the excitement in the sister/brothers face, and just enjoy the moment with them, but you're so worried they're going to accidently kill the baby with love! It's so stressful but lovely at the same time 🙈😂🙈

Wonderful adventure watching both of you exploring the world of fountain pens. As Figboot described them, they are a form of functional art, and they each have a story. They are meant to be used!

Great examples of craft and exotic materials. Modern steel and gold nibs have similar flex and feedback. Vintage gold nibs, on the other hand, can be amazing no matter what you're looking for.

I just started using fountain pens and I absolutely love them. The compliments I get on the pens when I let people use it to sign something, or to jot a quick note are notable. Nothing like using a a good pen especially when you write a lot.
