    No rambling that was very useful to me! I can apply that to my Pilotfly. Thanks for doing this!

    Great info Emm! Just getting started with CAME-TV gimbals and not really proficient with the software. Been awhile since I played around with the Nebula 4000 a while back. Hd a bad copy and couldn't get it to work. I like the Mini 2. I had to turn down the motors to use the a6300 an Sony 10-18. I was vibrating when tilting. Works pretty well now. Left the PID settings alone. For some reason my copy does not remember the home setting if it goes out of whack. I have to turn it off and reset it to neutral position. Not a big deal. Thanks for the video Emm!

    Thanks for sharing this and your other Came TV Mini 2 videos, I have been trying to decide whether to purchase The Came TV Mini 2 or the Ronin-M, and thanks to your in depth tutorials and overview I think this will suit my needs perfectly.
    Thanks again and please keep sharing.

    Great video. Thank you. I got a mini yesterday. Profile 3 worked fine out of box. On profile 1, when I turned left, it turned right. Will have to investigate further.

      Darryl Ephraums My bad. I pulled out my Mini and followed your video and it was exactly as you explained. The only thing was clicking AUTO in the RC Trim made things worse, so I re-entered the existing settings. Everything working great!

    Have you done a comparison between the mini2 and the came-single? I know you like the dual handles but in terms of the motors and software.

    Man, thanks for your tutorial, you are greate. I have a question, my gimbat shaking least in a certain position, because of this, should I make software updates or firmware?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nelstill Vibrating at certain angles has to do with PID tuning and Motor config. Either the motors have too much power or too little power. I would start with the motor power settings by reducing it on the motor that is vibrating (not all the motors). Just change the numbers a little at a time and retest. BEFORE YOU START - Always take a screenshot or write down your original settings, in case you need to revert.

      +MrCheesyCam Hey, thanks for your promt answer. Can you make another video tutorial or screen shot with this problem, where I must make these configurations? Thanks again!

      +Nelstill Well it's just about turning some of the settings down or up. Here's a video that might give you a basic idea: cheesycam.com/tuning-pid-settings-for-varvon-birdycam-gh4-camera/

    Hi MrCheesy, is possible to resset factory the gimbal? I try to make some adjustments in SimpleBGC_GUI and after the gimbat still shaking. I try to resset to default from Menu/Board/Reset to defauls (current profile only) and my gimbal shaking worse in all parts and can not be controlled...
    What can I do in this case to return to the default settings before I make these adjustments. Must be resofted or there is another method reset?
    Thanks again for helping me!

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nelstill Clicking on the restore button restores the board to default settings of the board, not the default settings of the gimbal. These boards are used in hundreds of different gimbals from drones to handheld systems. You basically wiped out the default settings of your gimbal. Maybe read this: cametvblog.com/restoring-your-gimbals-boards-to-their-default-profiles-7800mini-2/

    I think you just saved me turning my mini 1 into a can opener ... lol Just wondering if the profiles can be accidentally wiped ? If i have done so where could i get the profiles from ?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ICS FILMS Well you don't want to wipe out your sensor positions, motor invert options, etc. Take a look at my screen, if you are on the same firmware version then you can try to copy my PID settings from my screen. That would be a good start if you don't have your PID settings anymore. Just remember that PID settings could work differently if you're on a different firmware version.

    I've been working on getting my Came TV 7800 working from being an absolute wreck and have come sooooo far! I'm right on the brink of having this thing perfectly setup except for a slight drift in Yaw to the right. I've been working with the support at Came TV and they've been helpful, pointing me to the right tutorials on their blog. But this drift, just isn't working. the one thing i've noticed though is that in my GUI, the red dot on the NSEW compass is constantly moving around the compass counterclockwise. This makes me think a sensor is broken, but hopefully you know of something I may be missing? Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Mr Cheesycam, I got my Came TV Mini 2 today after watching all your great reviews and it worked perfectly out of the box until I downloaded and installed SimpleBGC GUI since I intended to activate the inverted mode feature. Since I am very new to all this, I decided to do an automatic PID calibration which caused the gimbal to shake and spin like crazy. I didn't finish the calibration and turned the gimbal off. When I turned it on again, the gimbal started to shake again and spin in all directions. I hooked it up to my Mac turned of the motors using SimpleGUI and upgraded the firmware thinking that this would fix things.
    Unfortunately, this seemed to wipe all the default PID settings of the gimbal. I emailed Came TV about it but no response yet. Is it possible for you to send me your PID settings for the Came Mini 2 which I can use to restore all my settings? I'm using the same setup as yours - GH4 with 12-35mm lens on Came TV Mini 2. Really frustrated about this and hoping to get your help. Thanks again in advance.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I'm confused. If you received the gimbal, you did not have to activate any inverted mode features. It's already set to do this, just power it off, rotate frame, and then turn back on.
      Also why did you feel you needed to do an auto PID? The PID settings were perfect for a GH4 and 12-35mm.
      You can find all the default settings cametvblog.com/reset-default-pid-and-profile-settings-for-came-tv-came-mini2-gimbal/

    Where in the software can i control the joystick for the came mini 1? I did a factory reset on the settings following your other video but now the joystick doesn't work. You mentioned in this video you disabled left and write but I didn't see how you did that.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are two different types of remotes. One uses PWM and the other is analog. I'm not sure which one the Mini1 used, but if it doesn't work following this video, then you can try the other. This video might be helpful explaining an analog joystick: th-cam.com/video/mDhGF0kHr_o/w-d-xo.html

      +Max Force Yes you can add another profile in if you want. You should use Profile 4 or 5 for this.

    Will this gimbal suit BM micro cinema camera? thanks.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +break2262 It's possible, but may need extra weight. I think the Micro Cinema may be too small and too light. Perhaps look at the CAME-SINGLE as another option too.

    Do you know how to reset the Came Tv mini original version back to original settings. A mate played with the profile setting and now the footage from this machine is unusable.
    I've tried following these settings and still the same problem.

      You can contact their support, and they should have some instructions for you and possibly a profile to install.

    I can’t see my gimbal in the app. I have a usb data transfer cable. My Java is up to date. Also I downloaded the right Version, but i still can’t see my mini 2. Also I contacted customer support they never responded. What could be the problem?

    Got my gimbal today and set it up. I got the camera to stay steady by itself, then I started using it powered on. The first few times I went about a minute before it started twitching out on me. Now, the lights are red and when I have it on the third setting it just flips out when I move it. Do you have any solutions to this? I would very much appreciate it.

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Adam Wagner Have you charged the batteries properly? These things are set to stop working or not work correctly when the battery voltage gets low. It only takes 1 or 2 volts difference before it stops working. That setting is in the software to protect the system.

    • @adamwagner413
      @adamwagner413 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MrCheesyCam Thanks for replying. I recharged the batteries. It seems like the gimbal is only having problems when I turn it left or right (like a steering wheel). When I do that it just kind of contorts into a different position. It also doesn't handle too much aggressiveness.

    • @adamwagner413
      @adamwagner413 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      My only solution was rebalancing by hand. I'm using a GH4 with a 12-35. It's not perfect still, but it mostly works.
