Lovely old school tutorial, no flash language or acting for the camera, great. If I was a young photographer starting out I would want to watch this channel all the time with this man as my mentor. These videos should be using in all photo schools. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your videos. I feel like I'm getting personal instruction from my favorite uncle. Cheers!

Hi, Tony.

Thank you too!
Another great video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
You're just great again!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another fabulous teaching video. I'm curious why you selected the tall soft box? I don't have so much lighting kit so I'm trying to figure out what I need. I have a couple of square soft boxes and a shower curtain for a big diffuser that I can hang in front of a strobe.
I used a rectangular soft box to illustrate feathering the light. glad the video was helpful.
Perfect 🤩
Glad you liked it.
Thanks great video, interesting subject!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you , as always "Like"
Thank you too!
great shoot, esp. for someone who hasn't got tilt shift lenses, or a large format camera; but, as far as shallow dof goes, a bit of tilt/swing, on the mf back (sinar), could defocus the table between the pasta and wood, and soften the harsh focus on the jar a slight improvement, maybe?, but a great shot none the less.
Thank you for your comment. Thanks for watching.
I use a full frame R5 not medium format when changing setting you use medium format camera could you please explain how to do your work with a full frame camera as well
The settings are, for the most part, the same. The major exception being the angle of view for a given focal length. eg. 80mm lens on medium format is the same angle of view as a 50mm on a full frame format.
Is the photoshop portion of this video achievable in camera and if so how would you go about it?
Yes you could control the light with careful placement of a flag but it would take a while. thanks for watching.
