Hey MbXtreme, Great video as always man but just a bit of constructive critisism... in my opinion you are missing the most important part of a build guide which is an introduction section where you briefly talk about how the builds works and why its a good build and how all the items come together etc... by completely skipping the introduction new and experiences viewers will have so many unanswered questions that could have been answered in a brief intro that ultimately explains why this build is even worth using... otherwise great video + great editing... once you add that ^ to your videos they will be much more compreshensive and people will fell more confident in understamdiomg why they may or may not want to use this build for their league starter. cheers!
tried the build on the race, pretty amazing results although i struggle at tier 11+ maps its probably because i dont have any armour (cause i am using hybrid so i could get a better result with sockets)
That's what League Starters are for :) Very strong early Game but if you go for Endgame, like real Endgame, other Builds shine more. But those cost 100 Times more lol It is really strong tough.
I already have a level 90 frostbolt totem heirophant build, gonna respec to this build since I am not doing next league, looks fun and I have yet to kill shaper.

And thousands of brains think more than one :D there were alot more builds in fewer patches, some get nerfed via items or skilltree or whatever, some newer ones got introduced. Sometimes, after patches, old ones are viable again and so on. you just gotta try stuff :D
May I recommend the stat on Ghastly abyss jewels that says "15-20 % increased Minion Damage if you've used a Minion Skill Recently" to be added to the list of abyss jewel modifiers? :)
I was surprised it works when the "Minions do x to y additional damage" does not. But of course it's your damage that increases, thus their damage. Great guide! I've been playing DP totems extensively this league and previous league. The heirophant changes really beefed this up though I am unsure whether the Soul Mantle way is the right one for him. 20% curse effect from 8+ curses still adds up after all. Needs more play time! FOR SCIENCE! :D
I mean Soul Mantle is such a BEAST on stationary Bosses like shaper, where he talks stuff while you prepare for the full BLAST! As soon as the Fight starts, you have maximum Debuffs leading to maximum Damage.
Oh I agree! Ramping up the curses before a boss is much satisfactory indeed. I am absolutely not questioning the viability or damage. I've seen that first hand. It's more the 8+ x 20% curse effect. Admittedly with the stronger MoM he is quite tanky. I think I will try out some options in Incursion. See if I end up wearing Soul mantle + double Kikazarus again! :D
What do u mean at 9mins when you say as a rule of thumb two skill point jewel passive is only worth if u have 3 mods on a jewel, do u mean going for them in the tree only if u have a three mod jewel
Seems great but getting a soul mantle 6 link (or 5 link) has always been a problem for me... I know a tabula rasa can be used until i find a decent alternative but thats gonna be painful... What would you suggest for a 4 link dark pact?
I used to play a hiero with 2 shimmerons :) (arc and lightning tendrils for single target) in bestiary and was wondering whats your Single Target Damage per Totem (self buffed without curses), just curious whether I should go with your build or stick to mine...
Buffed or unbuffed? With Wands or dagger/shield, with or without Skeletons, Wither, Curses, Conc,... LOL but ideally it would be about 690k Dps per totem -> check yourself :) pastebin.com/aTn3S1z0
If its a league starter you should have progression and budget gear outlined. Can you do it with a rare body chest? What level can you start using the build and what is your leveling skill.
Yes. We'll want to use rare items in our Ring, Amulet, Boots, Gloves, Helmet, Belt and Body Armour slots until level 49. There is a leveling Section on the written guide.

You say it, like the random curse on you is a good thing... But without atziri shield you need curse immune flasks constantly up or your clearspeed will lack? Or have i missed something?
Thats why we use 2x Kikazaru, it has the stat: 40% reduced Effect of Curses on You (wich makes 80%) and in the End, Self Flagellation Jewel will give us 20% increased damage for each curse on us. On steady bosses like shaper you can perma set totem to gain maximum curses on yourself to have a huge powerspike.
Looks like a great plan, thx for the advice! I hope I can get the uniques topaz rings cheap so I can wear soul mantle at lvl 49, otherwise I think im gonna do firestorm untill mapping.
BTW if you feel like think of a way to use power siphon with a wander build, I dunno if I should use the power siphon to replace barrage or kinetic blast, but with the change to the vaal gems I think you can alot of spark out of a 20/20 vaal power siphon, especially if u end up with +2 vaal gems on a chest.
When i bought them, they were 1 chaos each. They are really cheap! Could be possible that they are more expensive at league start because its a great level item aswell!
I mean in the start it doesnt really matter what skill you take. youll be 28 in couple hours. I haven't layed my hands on speed guides but i think liftingnerd has some speed level guides for melee, range and caster :) Maybe you want to check those out.
I have the chest and almost everything else. Lvl 60 now. Firestorm does very good damage, but when I switch to dark pact, damage is very low. Chest is only 4 link. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
mbXtreme I have followed the tree. I did the one that says 81 points and now I'm following the one for level 82, because is the next one on the written guide.
Yep, lab traps deal damage based on your health, so you take 40% less damage because of Mind over Matter. The build also has pretty high regen. You can't completely ignore the traps like a Slayer, but it's very safe nonetheless.
Just see i got lvl 80 templar on standard so i transist him to this build equip tabula and only some res item with some life, 0 dmg and its much much better with better survi and dmg than warchief berzerker i tested. It will be my choise for lab runner league starter in icursion :) Thx for guide
I can hardly answer that question since ive never played any totem builds yes :X but if you go to the poe forum, they have some build compilations listed and you will probably find all kinds of totem builds :)
Totems are always SSF viable in my opinion. There are no fancy stuff and you can play it without the soul mantle. If the new league starts, you start without a soul mantle either :)
I tried SSF HC on Essence Drain, worked out pretty well. I made a stupid movement Mistake on Abberath in Act 6 thats why i died :( so i think youre safe with totems (just my opinion) :)

Shimmeron is the most expensive by FAR among the listed weapons.
This was recorded in 3.2 right? And before 3.3 trappers werent that insane so shimmerons werent that usefull as they are right now

It's hard to describe how many actions have to be perfect to achieve that dps as written with max stacks of wither and so on but yea, theoretically?

Firestorm and Dark Pact are 2 different Sources of damage. Have you skilled the correct way trough the Talent Tree?

I had a DP totem for bestiary and I thought it was easier to run uber labs than my sunder jugg. The MoM is amazing

Why it has to be staff? Just curious... well if you get a +3 Chaos Staff you could run lvl 28 Essence Drain with an Empower lvl 4 :D

Yea, we don't think there will be much changes and this is updated to the current Patch. It will also be my 3.3 League Starter.
