- This video has real footage of the Sioux back when we first had film.actualy i had to pay 50 pounds for that tiny bit of footage but well worth it . i smile every time i see the 2 guys at left front dance i just feel like reaching out and giving them a hug, daft i know but just make me smile and feel happy when i watch them, and i love to watch the chiefs too i have to admit this is my fave real footage of the Sioux dancing, sad to think they are long gone since that video was taken i wonder who their now relations are, as they are all sioux
if you want to stop the rain then play Heya-Hee (Intertribal Song To Stop The Rain) by Sacred Spirit it worked each time i tried it few years ago

it doesnt matter whether your Full Blood or small part blood, it is what you feel in your heart and soul that matters, and it is how you carry your self and behave and what you belive in, there is no greater being Full or part Native you are just as special as another
It doesn't matter at all. Like see, I only got 1-2% of Apache, Crow, and Cherokee blood in me, and it's mainly by ancestry, since my mom's parents (my grandparents) got Native American blood in them. That's now I got my from. So yeah, well said Helen. 👍👏

I don't know what it is about this song, but everytime I hear it I feel my soul become overpowered with strength and it lifts me up and makes my chest stick out like I'm ready to take on anything this world has to throw at me. The rain has always given me a certain feeling inside that I can not describe. My mind and body feels cleansed everytime it rains.

Something about Native American music, even the more 'professionally' made stuff makes you want to be closer to nature. It has a very positive vibe to it, much like traditional Celtic or medieval folk music.

I swear it floods every time 🤣 it’s amazing and works. We went four long months without a single drop of rain. The day I danced around with this song.. it rained. And that’s happened on multiple occasions.

A lingering cloud hoovered over covered up the yard, oddly the cloud looked like a cow?? the wind began to blow I could hear the faint distance of thunder beginning to roll in ...then I panicked said a quick prayer the sun came back out and I went in the house and didn't come back out ... Thats something you got to let sink in your soul

Fish On God bless you. You are lucky that where I live, we hardly get any rain at all. We may get a few inches if we're lucky for a day or two. But otherwise where I lived is higher elevation, so on a mountain, so we tend to get cooler at here. But we still get rain every year in the summer. Sometimes in the spring or fall, even in the winter.

long as i see my spirit brother the red tailed hawk fly above or closer to me it has always rained within a week.

It's not weird at all. When I was younger, me and my sister song a rain song for like an hour driving to a vacation spot. When we got there the streets I kid you not were flooded by a couple feet and it was a downpoor. Even now I'm starting to sing a bit try an get touch with mother earth and sing it's starting to cool and get cloudy. I'm sure a bit longer we could see a bit of rain. I'm hoping, currently none in the forecast So we will see. I'm pretty white by nationality but feel closer to native american ancient Egyptians and the vikings. Maybe in prior life's. I was told by someone spiritual that if I had "god" with me and went on a mission I would be stoned to death but like christ be risen after 3 days and things would happen and I could raise the dead. I have had visions and seen things when I was younger that cannot be explained. Maybe I should try and get out of the worldy a bit and back into the other peacfull side of reality.
I'm half Apache, camaneche and a few other native tribes and no matter what tribe the music came from, I was raised to respect all music and culters and animals,no matter were or who they came from, everybody has their beliefs and musics...therefore you need to respect them in order to get the respect you want from others.

When I was a little kid that, I used to be scared of thunder because that it's loud and I have very sensitive ears, so each time I hear like a loud boom, then I would freak out. But as I got older, I'm starting to get used to it. But yeah, this one time that I heard a loud boom or clap, and I immediately start to freak out.

My great grandmother was full blood Cheyenne. I got to meet her one time and she was so beautiful and very funny! Her husband played the spoons under the shade tree in their front yard. She had very long dark hair and kept it braided and on top of her head. I long to live like the native and honor Great Spirit and Mother Earth the way they deserve! A'ho!

I see an image at 2:21 in the bottom left of what appears to be a young man in a cowboy hat. I really enjoyed this video so much. It brought back memories of my childhood when I would do that dance to that same beat to make it rain. I must have heard that beat on an old Western movie. I do remember it raining afterward. That was many years ago and I know how kids imaginations are but I was in awe when it would rain after I did the rain dance. I did not know of my heritage back then. I have since found out I have at least great grands on both my mothers and fathers side that were full blooded Native American. Mother Earth is all our Heritage and Inheritance for our children.

My great great grandma i was told was half native American from ohio my mom said i am not native American because it was my great great grandma and she was only half but i always loved watching and listening to the stories and love the music it always relax me and i feel a connection to them who the music and stories i hear when i go to the Arizona state fair i dont know what group my greet great grandma was half of other then it was native American From ohio my mom and me were both born in Arizona but my grandma and great grandma and great great grandma were all born in ohio i was named after my grandma and great grandma that is my mom side of the family

I did an indian chant and rain dance when i was in my teens and the 2 times i did it , it rained (within a few hours )in soCal of all places , but after that i stopped and didnt do it again even if it was a fluke I didnt want to use whatever may be in my blood or whichever spirit was paying attention just to entertain myself . I felt a respect that its something not to be used in vain if that makes sense ..

I have loved native American music since i was a very little kid my mom said i would dance around all the time when i heard the music i know my favorite part of the Arizona state fair is the part where native Americans talk about their culture and dance and sing and i love the indian fry bread too that on my mom side my dad side are from counties in Europe
I love Native American music and the beat in the Rain dance just absolutely made my being feel a bit more energized. I am of Irish decent and way back they were also very tribal like. I guess that's why the music speaks so deeply to me.

This is how I try to bring the rain I for fun I am not native american but I live in California with the wild fires. I am actually part German and Norwegian. I even had to evacuate one year everything was fine. I worry.

My house burned in a fire in 2003 and my family and I had to evacuate. When we reached our friends house at the bottom of the mountain we did a rain dance and I've never felt a loving rain like that since.
