For the 2nd time in my life I am elated to see this- first nearly 35 years ago when I sang with a Navajo family, and now at listening to this song. It stirs something within me, perhaps it's because I have Cherokee, and Navajo in my DNA. I am honored to be able to " interface" with my not too distant brothers and sisters. I'm so glad I have the ancestry of two tribes flowing through my veins. I simply must praise the Great spirit for making me thus.

I'm white but feel a connection to the Native spirit. Maybe its because of living in the Land of Enchantment(NM) or maybe I was of a tribe in a past life
I feel the same way. I was born and raised in Germany but was always pulled to the native culture from when I was a little girl. When I immigrated to the States I lived in Arizona for a while and became friends with some people from the Hopi tribe. I'm still friends with them today. I love native music, that's all I'm listening to it just resonates with me.
We have our own indigenous cultures: why not embrace them?! Of course there nothing wrong with cultural appreciation, but we have our own cultural traditions, customs and folklore thereof.

I knew I would love this from the beginning note. I have always admired the Native Americans and am deeply ashamed of the way the invading Europeans treated their ancestors. Many things we didn't learn when we went to school, I learned at the age of 12 by reading the book, "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee."

I have no idea what the song is saying ,but I feel great when listening to it.When I close my eyes while listening, I travel back in time and see how beautiful were America and Africa before 1492.I see deep forest and hear the amazing melody of birds in the forest,I see myself swimming in those beautiful rivers .
And when I open my eyes(back to the actual world) tears stream down my face.

Hace muchos años me compre unos zapatos como los que ellos usaban y aparecen en muchas ilustraciones y no quería ni que el polvo los ensuciara, y aun mucho tiempo después de que se terminaron los seguía guardando. The Sotae were in the black hills area before the Tsehtsestahese and Lakota people. Their origin stories come from the Blackhills, such as “The Great Race”. The Sotae are my people. The singer is speaking our Ancient Cheyenne Language. I can hear him whisper in our allies language the Lakota. ❤️

I'm white but feel a connection to the Native spirit. Maybe its because of living in the Land of Enchantment(NM) or maybe I was of a tribe in a past life
I feel the same way. I was born and raised in Germany but was always pulled to the native culture from when I was a little girl. When I immigrated to the States I lived in Arizona for a while and became friends with some people from the Hopi tribe. I'm still friends with them today. I love native music, that's all I'm listening to it just resonates with me.
We have our own indigenous cultures: why not embrace them?! Of course there nothing wrong with cultural appreciation, but we have our own cultural traditions, customs and folklore thereof.
We should be privileged to have there culture on this planet, It is there Planet as well as ours, and they look after it better than some other cultures 🙏🏻 2022

I knew I would love this from the beginning note. I have always admired the Native Americans and am deeply ashamed of the way the invading Europeans treated their ancestors. Many things we didn't learn when we went to school, I learned at the age of 12 by reading the book, "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee."
I love and respect their way of life we can learn lots from them and they know how to pray and get answers from the great spirit god. They know god way better than us. God bless us all.
