I just picked one up a few days ago, I was taken back by how expensive it is compared to other hotspots, figured I could return it if I didn't like it. this thing is like carrying around a home network in your pocket. its absolutely worth the price

I'm stoked, mine arrives tomorrow. I've been forced to use 4G hotspots for years bc of service limitations. I have 5G signal in my driveway, so if this doesn't pick it up in the house, I'll be running an antenna out.

One very important thing that is lacking in this series since M1 is the IP reserved or IP-bind feature. Can u confirmed if that is available now in M6? Port forwarding is supported in this mobile hotspot, but if IP reserved is not supported then how to do proper forwarding.
Compared to ZTE MU5002 which also has ethernet port, i would say Nighthawk has much more stable connection with constant ping while ZTE ping is not stable although both are using Qualcomm chipset. Both tested with exactly same simcard at same location connected at same band. ZTE has IP reserved feature anyway. Nighthawk will work without battery but ZTE refused to power up without battery. ZTE is only 1/3 of the price of Nighthawk.

    • @MultiBobix

ZTE has an older modem and ping is a much bigger than in M6

My goal is to get my own hotspot (like the one shown in the video) I sometimes do video calls and work on projects as a data analyst. Do you see this overheating on me? I plan to have this next to me in my desk in the office everytime im at work. I want to carry this little thing around. Hi! that could be due to Steam. If you are on 5G, it should give you 5G speeds. If it's not, I would call your data provider and let them know because it should be much faster. Also, I don't recommend running a speedtest more than once if you buy prepaid data as some tests use 1gb+ per test.

It's support 5g as long as there is 5g network in your area and your sim is 5g as well

I own one is fantastic technologies, however at@t should be a shame....no unlimited plans available. I bought this device to replaced my home network. I used this device in europe with vodafone some months I get unlimited data plan for 39 euro. The regular plans are 200 gb data for 39 euro. The other problem is 6 and 6E is not ratfied standard. Every vendor implements the way they think until the real standard comes out. That is why there are some different vendors that are not compatible with each other. Intel and Netgear as example here.
My laptop I bought intel AX210 Killer 1675x but can't see the 6 network on Netgear.

I'll offer you a deal: if you'll answer a question, I'll like and subscribe. I'm not sure why but my M6 pro with att offers truly unlimited data and in my home it downloads at about 190 mbps, but the range is limited to the room it's in. I can deal with that. But at night, when I'm not using the device, can I leave the unit plugged into the wall without the danger of overheating the unit?

I bought one through Amazon, reconditioned. It kept overheating and I turned it back for a replacement. The second one kept disconnecting all the time. I sent that and went back also, got the refund, and bought something that works.

Background: I run three Androids: 2 OnePlus 9 phones and two Galaxy S-8+ tablets (one has its own sim card for $20 mo), also 2 Windows10/11 Desktops and 1 laptop-- off of T-Mobile Home Internet 5G Wi-fi 6 and NO service obligation. We have 40GB of mobile hotspot per phone with our service- for top speed, but speed drops down after the max hotspot quota I'm told, we haven't maxed out so far. I did add cheap $18 USB WiFi Adapters, 1200Mbps, XDO Dual Band OFDM 2.42GHz 5.8GHz/867Mbps,802.11 to each Desktop PC that enables super fast speed, averaging 900GB dwnld and 200+GB upload off T-Mobile Internet to which I also added a cheap WAVLINK 1200Mbps WiFi Router costing $29.
T-Mobile home internet is a flat $50 a month. my Android phones on their own run at 500GB dwnld and over110 upload, tested with Fast.com and Ookla SpeedTest.
As I understand it, with this Netgear M6 5G device you still need 5G Sim card service, and Mobile hotspot data available on your phone, right?
I invested a total $65 in hardware. Each phone carries full replacement insurance plus the extra sim card and 40+40GM hotspot on our plan.
All this costs me $208 total per month "Including Internet Service". We are on their Magenta plan. I already use my phones when we RV with Tablet hotspot, and we can cast to a UHD TV for streaming w/o loading issues.
(My prev cable Internet service cost $78 per month and two phones $45 each with 4G LTE service and 5GB hotspots that never topped 100GB.)
My question is how will this $700 Nighthawk M6 5G Mobile Hotspot improve that?
