Mauritian food is a delightful blend of cultures, offering a perfect mix of Creole, Indian, Chinese, and European flavors. Every bite is a unique taste adventure! Thanks for Incredible East Africa full marathon food travel.
I e had the pleasure of visiting Mauritius on several occasions. And the Mauritian people are some of the kindest, loveliest people. The food is fantastic. And obviously. You can’t miss the beaches.
From New Zealand to Mauritius… The moon looks beautiful.. Loved you and your family visiting us here in Aotearoa..Looking forward watching you experience Mauritian cuisine..
Mica is getting a priceless understanding of other cultures. What is his favorite place you all have visited? great vid! thanks for taking us along for the ride!!
it's really great seeing you enjoy the different foods you've tried, knowing you, i always wanted to see you try the spicy foods of mauritius. I knew you would love it unfortunately i didn't get to see you, always wanted to meet you but it's really great to see you've enjoyed your stay in mauritius and enjoyed every meal. Hope to see you again in Mauritius
What I love about Mark is that he’s a great father. A lot of people who get fame on the internet and have children, they end up shoving the camera in their kids faces but Mark is just doing what he loves with his family and they are just in the background, not being forced to be on camera. They just happen to be there because Mark wants them to experience everything with him. You’re doing amazing, Mark ! These food tours are so good to watch and we love your family’s adventures !!
I was in Blue Bay a few years back, that place was amazing. I remember waking up in pain because I was laughing and smiling so much on more than one occasion lol. Stayed in Blue Bay working with a marine conservation group such a beautiful place.
What a life this bloke has, hey? Travels the world with his family, gets paid good coin for it, tastes the best the world has to offer, learns so much about different cultures and people, and meets some of the best people across the globe. Unbelievable.
The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, that's saying a lot because I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. The food all looked amazing and so fresh. One of the best features of everything you do, is your family is with you for the experience. Love this video style.
Hi Mark, Thank you for sharing. We're flying after the 26th to Mauritius and can't wait to taste all the foodies!!! And country of course😂. Love your vid, keep on the good work, ❤
I really appreciate your gratitude and positivity ! it's really cool and gives a good vibe ! Keep it up man :) Cheers and PS: I am from Mauritius hahaha living in the UAE :)
Mark - I would love to visit especially for the diverse foods!! That Biryani looks so delicious !! Beautiful beach, hi Micah!! Mark I would love to indulge in all that sea food!! The people are quite friendly. This is an excellent video!!
No only the food is awsom also the people and the country side. I was 3 times on Mauritius and i miss my friends, the life style and iland so much😢❤.🇲🇺
Mauritian cuisine is a symphony of flavors, a tantalizing blend of Creole, Indian, Chinese, and French influences that dance harmoniously on the palate. Each bite tells a story of a vibrant culture, where every spice, herb, and ingredient carries the essence of an island steeped in tradition. The aromatic curries, succulent seafood, and delectable street foods like dholl puri and gateaux piments are an unparalleled sensory delight. Mauritius isn’t just a destination; it’s a feast for the soul. If you’ve tasted the magic, you’ll know exactly what I mean - if not, you’re missing out on a gastronomic paradise!
Similar to Dal Puri is something called as Sattu paratha in India and particularly from the state of Bihar. Most Trinidadians, Guayanese are basically form Bihar. The ancestors of the current population of Indian origins all were brought from Bihar during the British rule to work on Sugarcane fields. a lot of cuisine we find in Trinidad, Guyana and Mauritius have their roots in Bihar. Sattu paratha which is an almost exact version of Dal puri is made from roasted and powdered chickpeas. the powdered chickpea is mixed with herbs and spices and stuffed in small balls of unleavened dough, rolled and cooked on a Tava or a skillet. Even the famous Trini doubles is a version of Chole Bhature again a chickpea based curry with fried flat bread. Sattu is a protein packed ingredient. sometimes just the Sattu flour is mixed with buttermilk and drank. very cooling during summers. Chickpea in any form is a very high protein Vegan food.
Hi mark! I joined your channel not to long ago And i am enjoying all of them I like the look on your face when you first bite into a dish You describe everything so well like I'm actually there with you eating lol Hugs to you from CT ❤
That first view of the full moon and water outside your room and sunset at airport, absolutely stunning. Beautiful video and delicious looking food. Blessings. Love Joy and Happiness your way 💕💕💕💕 Mark , your smile at the coconut welcome drink 😂😂😂
Really great video by travelling around the island. Only the one tasting the food knows what fresh fish taste like, what the best biryani in the world taste like, the mix of spices (Indian-European influence) like the vindaye or the octopus curry, the boiled noodles with dumplings and the authentic dholl puri, just incredible. There is so much more in terms of food in this island! Food that you won't find and where else in the world (Fruits, vegetable and sea Food). Yet to be explored other regions/cities, yet to be experienced the full culture of Mauritius and and and yet to be tasted the most authentic food on the Island.
The only thing I can say is, I have the privilege following you before Micah was born. It been a great experience to learn other countries of the cultures in their foods with this segment I like all the food that you have presented to us with that I say happy holidays, and may the Lord of the angels always protect you and your families and your followers too
My honeymoon fantasy & bucket list are to visit MAURITIUS & ZANZIBAR, as a kid read The National Geographic. Mark, as always, such a great foodie tourist ambassador. U always respectfully remember, u r an esteemed guest of country & leave any preconceived bias cultural baggage at the airport!
Hey Mark,I am so happy that you are enjoying the food in Mauritius. You have been to Madagascar too!You should go to Réunion Island, the Island sister of Mauritius. You will find similar food in La Réunion, my native Island, there is also varieties of food, such as Rougail or Cari, and from the four corners of the Réunion Island, the diversity of food is different in each area.So from the North to the South, and from the East to the West of Réunion, The Rougail or Cari will be the same basic cooking but definitely different ways of cooking I highly recommend you to go there, and enjoy the food as you already are a food traveller. La Réunion is a place not to be miss, and a must try culinary experience. The nature of Réunion is also beautiful, many places for hiking, swimming, and lot more to explore. Mafate,Cilaos,Salazie are some of the places that you must visit if you have a chance to go to La Réunion.Keep doing your food travelling, I followed you since you start vlogging.❤❤
