This is a welcome functionality! Wd personally love the ability to use a rotary knob to set a desired course (ie 270 degrees) or a set a very specific vertical speed and even select a specific airspeed then we'd not be far off how full-size planes operate.
You can change the course in "Cruise" using roll or yaw, so it's possible to add one of the knobs on your radio to control the rudder channel (I would have this set so it's only enabled when the mode switch is Cruise etc).
More flight modes to play with. I tend to use Horizon combined with Alt hold to fly around tight spaces....Im sure some people still dont know they can combine Modes together.....🤔😳🇬🇧
Never realised this angle hold mode was available. Question: angle hold + course hold will lock the pitch angle and the course. And only angle hold mode will only control roll angle and not control pitch angel ?
So cool! I'd love to have a mode that would hold a certain airspeed too. Flip on cruise with angle hold + the most efficient cruise airspeed. I guess I could achieve this with something in the programming page within INAV to have it adjust the throttle? 25kts in my Swordfish works perfectly!
Believe it or not, a certain pitch will always give you the same airspeed on a given model, as long as the flying weight is constant, whatever throttle setting you use. Rule number one for instrument pilots is that your elevator determines airspeed, while your throttle determines ascent/descent.
Thanks for the clear and simple video. Super easy to set up and helpful. What digital video system are you using? Its got a nice layout and really clear video.
@blueskyfpv Thank you for your kind words, I'm pleased it was helpful. I'm using the Walksnail digital system, it's been very good and the GT VTX I'm using here has amazing performance. I was talking with someone this evening who's flown over 40km with it using Goggles.
У меня тоже самолет с двумя моторами. Clouds. Но я поставил контроллер chuck от parrot. И летаю на 4g, через мобильный интернет. Это очень удобно, низко и далеко. А вы пробовали летать на таком сетапе?
Yes I briefly setup a Parrot disco on 4G and then later on had a setup with another Crosswind Mini over 4G using the UAVCast system running Ardupilot. Unfortunately I didn't have much success with either though as the cellular network coverage was very poor where I was flying.

I imagine this on roll, without altitude hold, could do well in a sailplane trying to ride out a thermal too

Is this only available in Inav 7? I was hunting for Angle Hold in Inav 6 and couldn't find it.
Yes it came out in INAV 7.1.0.
@@Crunklefloop Thank you! I think this mode will motivate me to upgrade my fleet to the latest INAV

@@Crunklefloop Сейчас Маск будет делать спутниковый интернет на обычный телефон. И именно так можно будет летать где угодно. За этим будущее.
