He explained it in depth in a conversation with claire. I prefer leaving out the effect because it confuses viewers who think its a representation of what he's actually physically seeing rather than just a translation of what he's understanding through sound, heat, smell etc
+Roronoa Zoro I mean, in the 2000's movie, they would show scenes of daredevil's sonar "vision" so to speak and his sensibility to noise, again in the movie not in this netflix series, which by the way is good.
That’s the only time throughout the entire show that he actually killed someone, yeah I know stick finished him off but Matt full on intended for him to die there and he was obviously under the impression that he was dead
I realised that Daredevil has to think that he killed somebody and that somebody is Nobu, what isn't actually true, because like we see later, Stick is the one finishing Nobu for good.
Now that Defenders has come, i now think that Nobu might have died in season 1 but The Hand brought him back...I think that was implied and all, but you know...i'm slow sometimes
In the first season... Matt catches him on fire. And I know Nobu came back to life, but Matt didn't know this, so shouldn't he have been upset about what he did? Or shouldn't they have mentioned his death? Because technically he did kill him, right? I'm not hating on the show I absolutely love it, just curious.
It was clearly self defense. The absolute only way for Matt to survive. He was already heavily injured and on the ground. He couldn't have won vs Nobu and he couldn't have escaped him. On top of that, Nobu was part of a killer organisation that needed to be stopped.
Paivren i get that, but the entirety of the show and especially season 3 is surrounded by him not being able to kill someone and possibly being very impacted if he killed someone. He didn’t know nobu was immortal and probably killed him in self défense. Why wasn’t he shown feeling incredible remorse? I watch this show every day cause i love it so much. This part just confuses me always
Personally I think he didn't care, cuz Nobu was a fucking MONSTER of an opponent. He kicked Daredevil's ass twice. An even setting him on fire wasn't enough. Lol.
@@fionali4453 idk if he knew him throwing the stick would create a fire that killed him, it’s one thing to kill someone accidentally but it’s another to plan and kill someone on purpose, also this was before season 3 so the remorse for killing him probably doesn’t really apply if he’ll just come back
They never acknowledge it because right after the fight he gets his ass whooped by Fisk and then foggy finds him half dead in his apartment. So the argument with foggy takes importance over the rest of the season and he pretty much never talks about his life as daredevil again to foggy until they reconcile and become friends again
I think these fight scenes accurately show many of the short comings of season 2 as a whole. After the Punisher arc concluded, the season took a turn for the worse. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the CW shows, but it kind of starting to veer in that direction with a little more goofy and comic booky story lines. And the fight scenes just don’t compare, especially the last rooftop one. It was clear that they tried to go for a “bigger is better” approach, but there are multiple instances where attacks aren’t even remotely close to connecting, and it just looks like the actors are nonsensically flipping and twirling about like it’s a CW show or the Star Wars Prequels. And there are so many ninjas that they could just overpower Electra with ease, but they have to go at her 2 at a time, for “reasons”, while the others just cautiously run at her before moving back like seagulls chasing waves. But regardless Season 3 more than delivered, with a well thought out, serious, and at times painful story that had actual themes and complex characters, and visceral, hard hitting action that looked like people actually trying to injure and kill each other rather than overly choreographed nonsense.
Season 3 does suffer from some phony-looking combat too though. Several clear misses in attacks, especially in the last DD vs Fisk fight. Even the 11 minute prison fight looks distractingly fake at points, at least for me. IMO Season 1 was the only season where the action looked consistently good/decent all throughout.
I guess it’s hard to write ninja story’s. Where they can flesh out the characters and make them feel realistic. Or maybe since the director or someone in charge said something on the lines of: “Asians don’t matter, they’re just there for the fights and then die, you see that in every ninja movie.” Don’t remember the exact words but if that’s the case then that could be one reason as to why the hand arc didn’t really live up to any other arcs.
Actually, in the star wars prequels, though the moves look flashy, their lightsabers are going for the opponent's head, it is rare that we get to see such errors in those movies.
Bruh Bullseye couldn’t fight for shit until he was given distance, daredevil was kicking his ass up close and the only thing keeping him from getting knocked out was the suit
Not really, Nobu was a skilled fighter but he wasn't the best in the Hand since he was just a subordinate of Murakami from The Defenders, so there will be someone better than him.
Daredevil was fighting for electra. Thats Why he was stronger. Sure he leranend about the fights, but when nobu goes in serious mode, he raped Daredevil and Elektra at the same Time easily. Daredevil needs a death from a Friend to enrage but Nobu Not. Anyway, Nobu actually killed daredevil, but electra sacrefices herself to safe him. Without Electras death Daredevil would be Dead. And no, Murakami was Not the stronger than nobu, because the writers screwed the huge Potencial of the "Five Fingers". Murakami should be the leader of "the Fingers", but 3 Times stronger than Nobu. Every Defender should fight against him, to have a Chance. Sad, that they screwed a really good Chance, for a Big Threat.
nytolstoy I think that cause of Elektra's death, he didn't really care which one it was either way, and then later on probably justified it to himself as Nobu being seemingly unkillable, so it didn't matter
Why do you think he retired? He was confused, he didn't know what's right or wrong anymore, his entire ideology was destroyed. So yeah, "killing" Nobu was the last straw. He wouldn't have just thrown him like that for him to get up and escape, his intention was clear. He probably thought that it would be enough to kill him.
Well in season 1 he set him on fire by accident. But Nobu beat the shit out of him so I think Matt was to tired to care. But after he got resurrected in season 2 he wasn't human anymore so basically doesn't count?
I think it was a mixture of him being under the impression that Nobu can’t die and the fact that he killed someone he deeply cared about so he just didn’t care about killing him anymore
Like other people have said, Nobu is a member of an organization that have found the secret to immortality that can only be stopped by the removal of the head
so much bloodshed and fistfight..... did it never occur to anyone that daredevil could have just snucked a gun and suddenly shot him during the fight and end it. Punisher is smart he's using guns...plus he can fight .... i get the feeling daredevil liked getting beat up....
Because daredevil isn’t a coward and wants to beat the shit out of his opponent’s to show them he means business, guns are for people who are too scared to fight fair or they know they won’t win straight up so they give themselves an unfair advantage
@@malemyensenbam7978 but the only reason you’d be dead is because your opponent is too scared to fight on even ground by bringing a gun, if I were to fight you and you brought a gun would you expect me to be scared of you or would you expect me to laugh at you because you insist on having an unfair advantage over your opponent when you have no idea what they are capable of.
@@malemyensenbam7978 it’s not about whether they are cool or not, it’s about the fact that the only purpose they serve is to kill people which makes whoever uses them a coward in my opinion because anyone could learn how to use one, not everyone can learn how to fight

+Roronoa Zoro I mean, in the 2000's movie, they would show scenes of daredevil's sonar "vision" so to speak and his sensibility to noise, again in the movie not in this netflix series, which by the way is good.
Daredevil: I can't kill my enemies, Frank, I'm a Catholic
Also Daredevil:
In their first fight, Nobu wore red, DareDevil wore black, and Nobu kicked his ass... this time it's the other way around
That’s the only time throughout the entire show that he actually killed someone, yeah I know stick finished him off but Matt full on intended for him to die there and he was obviously under the impression that he was dead
1:59 Leaf Hurricane!!!!
At least Daredevil has the Armor Suit to take Nobu out.
In the First fight He has won Because of Luck But later He became stronger als The armor suit helps him a lot in the fights
I realised that Daredevil has to think that he killed somebody and that somebody is Nobu, what isn't actually true, because like we see later, Stick is the one finishing Nobu for good.
that roof top scene the hand forgot they have swords.
they were only trying to kill daredevil and capture Elektra 'coz she is the black sky
They dropped the swords when they realized it helps daredevil track them
Now that Defenders has come, i now think that Nobu might have died in season 1 but The Hand brought him back...I think that was implied and all, but you know...i'm slow sometimes
"Ill see you around red"
Or maybe since the director or someone in charge said something on the lines of: “Asians don’t matter, they’re just there for the fights and then die, you see that in every ninja movie.”
Don’t remember the exact words but if that’s the case then that could be one reason as to why the hand arc didn’t really live up to any other arcs.
Actually, in the star wars prequels, though the moves look flashy, their lightsabers are going for the opponent's head, it is rare that we get to see such errors in those movies.
Without Electras sacrefice Daredevil would be Dead.
Wish I could find the music here in the soundtrack
Maaan, this looks like childs play after watching season 3 fights... (Im looking at you espisode 6)
Bruh Bullseye couldn’t fight for shit until he was given distance, daredevil was kicking his ass up close and the only thing keeping him from getting knocked out was the suit
Nobu beat the shit out of Daredevil in the first two fights.
So basically Nobu was the best the hand had cuz he kicked daredevil ass everytime on sight. Like even with armor bruh has no chill
Not really, Nobu was a skilled fighter but he wasn't the best in the Hand since he was just a subordinate of Murakami from The Defenders, so there will be someone better than him.
What are you talking about? Nobu didn't kick Daredevil's ass every time. Daredevil kicked his ass in their last two fights.
Didnt he have increased strength bcz of resurection .You know like Electra in sefenders?
Nobu > Daredevil. The fact that he basically won a 2v1 proves it...
Sad, that they screwed a really good Chance, for a Big Threat.
epic
So does DD think he crossed the line and murdered or did he figure Nobu can't die
nytolstoy I think that cause of Elektra's death, he didn't really care which one it was either way, and then later on probably justified it to himself as Nobu being seemingly unkillable, so it didn't matter
Bruce Snow He retired cuz Elektra died lmaoo. Did you not listen to anything he said to Danny in the restaurant?
Well in season 1 he set him on fire by accident. But Nobu beat the shit out of him so I think Matt was to tired to care. But after he got resurrected in season 2 he wasn't human anymore so basically doesn't count?
I think it was a mixture of him being under the impression that Nobu can’t die and the fact that he killed someone he deeply cared about so he just didn’t care about killing him anymore
I thought Nobu died in season 1
He did but The Hand revived him
Benton Xavier The hand can resurect pepole (as long as they don't get their head cut off)
There is no such thing!!
Like other people have said, Nobu is a member of an organization that have found the secret to immortality that can only be stopped by the removal of the head
Epic
matt/daredevil got boost to defeat nobu because of elektra's "death"?
Yes.
Ninja death cult members are not as good as a marine trained sniper
Punisher is built different, he may not be as skilled as ninjas but he can take one he’ll of a beating and still continue to fight
so much bloodshed and fistfight..... did it never occur to anyone that daredevil could have just snucked a gun and suddenly shot him during the fight and end it.
@@TonyJaaFan1587 well you have a point. But it’s all useless if you are dead.
@@TonyJaaFan1587 though i admit . Guns are not as cool compared to straight up fistfights and deadly brawls.
@@malemyensenbam7978 it’s not about whether they are cool or not, it’s about the fact that the only purpose they serve is to kill people which makes whoever uses them a coward in my opinion because anyone could learn how to use one, not everyone can learn how to fight
Daredevil at its lamest.
