What is the online membership you are talking about?, and what does it not allow you from doing?
@@felicitylee3501 the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. With this you can download paths and other cool designs made by other players, visit their islands too using online play, I subscribed since its not that expensive and been enjoying ACNH more since I've visited other players islands and play with them.

Thank you :) the only thing I need to point out is that you don’t have to make it this hard. While you’re in island designer mode you can press + and select custom design and put in on the ground as easy as the base patterns :)
