I can actually FINALLY SAY that someone has actually got the camera angle right! The perfect angle which captures both pilots and combining scenery at the same time! It's good it stayed like that for most of the video! I've tried to let a well known airline cockpit dvd producer know about this and a million excuses were made! Well done guys, this is perfect! Please can we see more like this in the future!
Glen Di Giovanni Hi Glenn :) Well thank you very much for your kind word and sharing. It is a GoPro wich I mounted in the midle. It is very light sensitive, so sometimes it turns out great like in this video, and others not so good. Best when you have a grey day out side :) I will see if I can upload some more in the fututre. Long time since the last upload. Thanks again and have a nice day :)
Well done video. My first ever flight was on a SAS DC-8 from NYC (then Idlewild Airport) to CPH, with refueling stops at Gander and Oslo. My mother worked at the North American HQ for SAS and I was immediately hooked on aviation. After graduating college, I worked at the North American HQ of Air France. It was the golden age of aviation with the introduction of the B-747, Airbus and Concorde. During those years, I was privileged to fly once in the cockpit of a B-747 between JFK and CDG. It was an experience I cherish to this day. Thank you for posting this video and good luck with your career!
Carolyn Lalli Thank you very much for your input.... I remember the SAS DC-8. I flew with it as a kid between Greenland and Denmark. Also a flight to the US.... Great plane.. Thank you again and stay safe.
Hi Charles :) Thanks a lot my friend... Glad you liked the video. Yes it is a fantastic job. Glad you like my wotk and good luck with your education. Thanks for SHARING .)
lightnorthwind Well thank you for joining. Appreciate, and also SHARING in your end of the world. Collecting people from all over. Fantastic to see so many people interested in flying... Thank you again my friend..
Thank you for yet another inspirational video! hopefully ill be able to fly commercially like these guys. Im on the road though! Guys, education is the number one aspect if you want to become a commercial pilot. It will put you into many great opportunities that could eventually lead to a fulfilling flight career! Safe travels!
+Roger Hylton Hi Roger, and thank you for the kind words. Glad you liked the video. Well, I mean just another day in the office :) Come join us in facebook: facebook.com/bo.petersen.395/
Thank you so much for sharing. I live on the Isle of Skye in a Scotland and want to visit my friends in the Faroe Islands but it is so expensive to fly. I really hope I can go one day, but this video helps me pretend I'm there!
Kevin Beto Loor Borbor Hi Kevin.. Thank you for your comment. Sounds like you want to be a pilot.. Go ahead and follow your dreams. Please SHARE the video in your end of the world. Take care, and good luck. Happy newyear.
very nice, real flight from cockpit not some simulation, heh if only i dont fear from heights i would probably become pilot, i did fly few times(as passanger of course) and although flight pass nicely, i was always feel dizzy, even faint once:), not all of us like clouds, but again if going for lets say from frankfurt to NY no matter of my fear i would take plane, dont want to stuck on some ship for two weeks!!!, very good video hope to see more,
hi, what is normally your approach speed with the A319/320? With the 777-200 I've to go sometimes below the recommended speed of 136kts (130-...) to get the jet on the ground :-D .... (empty fuel tanks :-D )
Regarding fuel...You should always have fuel enough planned to your alternate plus 30 minutes of holding... A MUST... Get a Facebook acount and join us in SIMULATION and AVIATION. A nice group.. :) See you
+germanpianist Hi there, and thank you for the kind words. You are welcome to join us at this link as well ;) facebook.com/bo.petersen.395/ Stay safe..
+Vitalii Rohov Hi Vitali ;) Thx for your input. Well we normally use manual thrust up here, due to the very special weather and approach conditions we have. We know how the wind will turn during approach better than the Autothrust. :) We only do that up here in EKVG ;)
Around 5:28 and the landing 11:17 Anyone notice how the plane is sliding from side to side slightly? Wind or pilot steering a bit off? Someone said the instruments should be as accurate as those used for missile guidance. Was that untrue?
+Patrick Fung By the way, If you liked my video, I think you would love my Facebook page as well. Simulation and Aviation. 🛫🌞🛬 Check it out... Thx. facebook.com/simavihd/?ref=settings
Lazar Djurovic you can go to the army. In spain its difficult to entry, but the pilot license is free, but you must stay there for 8 years. In this life you must work hard to become your dreams true. And its 60.000€
hi, i see lots of crosswind and gusts during the approach. Was the landing done fully auto? or fully manual? If manual, from how many NM away from touchdown was it? All in all, it was an amazing approach and landing sir! salute!
Izzat Hashim Hi there. A full manual landing. Manual from 5 miles out. Manual thrust and Manual Steering :) Thank you for your kind words, and sharing. And yes it is actually a good video :)
Hi the Mr Yang. :) That is a standard call the Plane does 100 feet above minima. :) Next call is Minimums... Thanks for your comment and SHaring. Would love to Have my videos Shown around in Asia :) Have a fantastic day my frined.
wow some serious wind shear on approach! can i ask why no continue was heard on finals was this a AP landing due to conditions? sorry for noob questions and thank you for uploading a great video
+matt robinson I am pretty sure that he landed by himself. There was no autopilot disengagement after touchdown or during roll out. The only thing that comes to my mind, is that the airline does not have the callout "continue" in there procedures during landing.
Farhan Ahmed Hi Farhan :) Thank you for your message and eventually Sharing the video in your end of the world would be nice. The Pilot Education takes around 2 years of intensive training. Theorie and practical flying. After that you need to convince someone to hire you in order to get a typerating. A typerating ( liscence to fly an Airbus 320 maybee ) Costs around 30 - 40000 Dollars. And the pilot education it self costs around 70 - 80000 Dollars. So it is expensive, and at least 5 - 6 years before you start to earn a serious living. Hope that gave you some answer. Come visit us in our facebook group Simulation and Aviation, and start up a subject.
I must say the 319 seems very manoeuvrable. From the video it seems like it almost behaves like a light aircraft, especially at the "20" rad alt call. Is this actually the case?
Well, it is a very manoeuvrable acft, but the same more or less as the rest of the Airbus series. Som difference on the 321, because of the lenght, but all in all the same. :)
C MONEY You can use the rudder pedals, but only limited to keep a straight taxy. For corners and lineup we use the Steering wheel. One in each side. ;) Thanks for your comment.
Brilliant, I have, all my life wanted to visit the cockpit on a flight, I ask every time but it never happened, now at 60 years old it aint going to happen :-( Thanks Thomas.
Captain, you are talking about the appr route and your first officer is not paying attention? Also I wonder about the poor communication between both of you...
Dont worry my griends :) we are comunicating indeed. :) Hard to catch every detail on film :) thx for the comment and sharing of the video. facebook.com/simavihd/
iSquared I know what you mean. I am trying to find the balance, of how much you can advertise for your own products in my own videos. But that together with music, is a balance that needs to be found ;) LOL
Pumanic Hi there and thanks for your input. Well it all depends on what kind of operation you get in and where.... Some flyies very much, and are seldom home, and some goes out every day and comes home every day.. It is a great job, but a long way to the lucrative positions in the airlines. :)
Thomas Bo Petersen I'm about to finish up my degree. I've been told most often to attempt to get my instructor permit and become a flight instructor to build hours. Is there any advice you have about going from degree to an airline first officer?
Yes it is! It is very very realistic flight simulator. So much so that if you crashed this simulator you (and any passenegers riding in the back) would die. The airports, runways and other airport facilities look so real. Alll weather conditions whcih can be very startingly realistic indeed.
+Marshall Winterbach Hi Marshall. I used to say that, when flying B737, until I joined the Airbus cockpit. This thing is amazing. I love the Airbus. A fantastic Airplane and systems. facebook.com/simavihd/?ref=settings
Why are you allowed to film when passengers are not allowed to film in the aircraft. Devices are supposed to be switched off. At least that's what I am told when I board an aircraft.
jodonbaker43 Thats true Jodon,.... But there needs to be a limit, meaning if everybody on board sat with Cams, and video and telephones, it would be a big mess.... One litle GoPro behind my back is okay...
The Expert No, it is actually okay... We are 26 pilots up here, and know eachother very well... It is no problem at all.. Our flight time is not that much.. between 1,5 Hour to 4,5 hours leg time...
The Expert Well that depends... It varies a lot but I think it is almost same level if you are talking Captains salary.. The F/O varies much more, from almost nothing to a very nice salary actually.. :)
+paul greasby Hi Paul.. Sorry aboyt that. I am trying to improve on that. So many things you want to get out there to the public... Thanks for the input.
Cool moment when they came out of the clouds at 5:40. Dramatic approach with strong wind. Beautiful video.

In the sim I always use speeds around 150. But Real life a Vapp would be areound 130 - 135
Thomas Bo Petersen 150? fast :-D how much fuel you've left then (real & sim) I've normally 15-20% left.
Regarding fuel...You should always have fuel enough planned to your alternate plus 30 minutes of holding... A MUST... Get a Facebook acount and join us in SIMULATION and AVIATION. A nice group.. :) See you
facebook... hmmm not sure... (facebook will eat up more time... ) :-D
Awesome!

You are welcome!
Waiting for the next great video you´ll do :)
Good takeoff but challenging crosswind landing ...👍
+Habib Rehman Well, Just another day in the Office ;) Thx for your comment.
You're welcome Simulation and Aviation
Very nice video! Good job! But I have a question .. Why you didn't use an auto thrust during approach ?
+Vitalii Rohov Hi Vitali ;) Thx for your input. Well we normally use manual thrust up here, due to the very special weather and approach conditions we have. We know how the wind will turn during approach better than the Autothrust. :) We only do that up here in EKVG ;)
Nice... Would have loved to have seen gear down and flaps execution in this weather..
wow...enjoyed the video esp the landing, capt was certainly a pro, whats the name of song at the end?
Around 5:28 and the landing 11:17
Anyone notice how the plane is sliding from side to side slightly? Wind or pilot steering a bit off?
Someone said the instruments should be as accurate as those used for missile guidance. Was that untrue?
Sad Clown LOL aagain... Cross wind, and a litle unstabile Air.. :) We are flying RNP approaches up here with accuracy of 0,1 nm... Vert accurate..
10:15 are you moving the thrust lever?
Hi Patrick.. Yes I am. We always use Manual thrust into the Faroe Islands. :)
+Simulation and Aviation Hello. May I know under what circumstances you would decide to use manual thrust? Is it because very strong crosswind?
+Patrick Fung By the way, If you liked my video, I think you would love my Facebook page as well. Simulation and Aviation. 🛫🌞🛬 Check it out... Thx. facebook.com/simavihd/?ref=settings
What does the beep at 11:36 stands for?
Phoenix Dou It is a change in the vertical mode... Just a notification to the Pilot..
Dat landing! NICE ONE!
Nice work thksss
Hi there Mr. Pilot, what if there's an unexpected storm. Geez, its scary right?
5:40 Wow... This is why I wanna be a pilot!!!
Well you should follow your dreams and become a pilot.... Yes it is so nice... Thanks for your comment and sharing as well...
Thomas Bo Petersen How to follow my dreams when academy cost 40 000€ (55 000$)?
I thought the same at this awesome scene!
Lazar Djurovic Become a doctor. Problem solved.

why dont the black boxes record camera feedbacks?
aquiro Hi Aquiro.. I very interesting thought, and yes I agree. Could be interesting and very helpfull I think,,

Simulation and Aviation ok thank you
Mega nice video.
Godt at seg at Atlantic's piloter er gode piloter :)
Hejsa... Tak for det. Profesionelle piloter. Fantastiske kolleger i et fantastisk fly selskab :) Tak :)

Thanks Thomas.
Well why not ? Keep asking. Maybe you are lucky :) Thanks for your comment and support :)
I have been asking since I was 20, but now the 911 killed that, never mind I will keep on asking you never know :-)

I don't worry about them
Hej Thomas, ved du om det er muligt at man kan komme ud og prøve og sidde i et Cookpit ?, kender du nogen der tager nogen med? Er 13 ;:)

I spend my life clicking away overlay link boxes.
iSquared I know what you mean. I am trying to find the balance, of how much you can advertise for your own products in my own videos. But that together with music, is a balance that needs to be found ;) LOL
Is it hard being a pilot? How long are you away from home? Can you take a vacation? o.o
Is there any advice you have about going from degree to an airline first officer?
was this a real flight or a simulation ?
You're joking, right?
Yes it is! It is very very realistic flight simulator. So much so that if you crashed this simulator you (and any passenegers riding in the back) would die. The airports, runways and other airport facilities look so real. Alll weather conditions whcih can be very startingly realistic indeed.
God damn I wish I could have become a pilot, being slightly short sighted has sadly ended that possibility.
AverageArts Well using glasses in the cockpit is not unnormal.. Many uses them today, and there is also the surgey possibillity :)
If it's not BOEING it's not GOING!!! BOEING EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!
+Marshall Winterbach Hi Marshall. I used to say that, when flying B737, until I joined the Airbus cockpit. This thing is amazing. I love the Airbus. A fantastic Airplane and systems. facebook.com/simavihd/?ref=settings
why does the captain look like saul goodman
flying airbus is so damn easy
+Henry Iglesias Hi Henry. Yes it is, if you know wht the plane is doing ;) Otherwise.. hmmmm .. Thx for your input and Sharing.
I want to be a cokpit on the airplane it look fun
Why are you allowed to film when passengers are not allowed to film in the aircraft.
Devices are supposed to be switched off. At least that's what I am told when I board an aircraft.
jodonbaker43 Thats true Jodon,.... But there needs to be a limit, meaning if everybody on board sat with Cams, and video and telephones, it would be a big mess.... One litle GoPro behind my back is okay...

It is the Runway structure and the surface of the Cam. :) Thank you for your input.. Have a nice day.

The Expert No, it is actually okay... We are 26 pilots up here, and know eachother very well... It is no problem at all.. Our flight time is not that much.. between 1,5 Hour to 4,5 hours leg time...
Thomas Bo Petersen Oh well that is not bad at all. Who pays better the American airliners or European airliners ?
The Expert Well that depends... It varies a lot but I think it is almost same level if you are talking Captains salary.. The F/O varies much more, from almost nothing to a very nice salary actually.. :)
its an A330
Hi Hamed... Nope it is a litle smaller than that.. Thanks for your comment and sharing
