All of these prototypes are great, and I would definitely use them all!!! Tops should probably make the Mini El Chete a lil bigger/ longer handle and that knife would be straight! I would love to be a Tops Knife Tester/ Reviewer anytime! Love the company and I think the way everyone has much Love for each other makes them Familia! And that's why Tops are such a Great Knife Company!! You can feel it in the Blade!!
I like Tops because they pull from the creative talents of everyone they come in contact with. They are open to ideas and they give people the opportunity to be creative and experiment, they'll make it and test it. Then they give them credit where it's due, which is big. Lots of companies would take those ideas and never do that. Plus of course, they do that in the ole USA. I wish they made more of their knives in some high end SS, but I also love carbon steel too. That is somewhere that R&D needs to improve in the whole industry. If some of the techniques used to make SS were applied to the manufacture of various carbon steels they could probably incorporate some other metals that have been overlooked in the past because of the difficulty.
I had never heard of a karambit before Mortal Kombat 1 with my main, Smoke. That's actually why this video was recommended to me apparently lol. While this looks a lot more "modern" it still seems like a pretty cool design with a curved blade to do some stuff with lol
Scale the handles up on the minis and you would have great sets. Otherwise it is just a novelty because Im sure Im not alone in the fact that I keep my knives way too sharp to trust a 3 finger handle.
The ring for the kukri would have to be big enough for a glove because if you have ever chopped with a karambit for a long time it starts to bite your pinky. A very cool design though, although for blade retention I'd rather have a knuckle bow.
El Chete Mini! If this doesn’t come out and I can’t get one, I’m going to be so pissed off! Don’t show something unless it’s really coming out please.😂 I don’t even care if it doesn’t work as a knife I want it
TOPS "new releases" last year were mostly just variations of previous releases. This year, they're focused on mini variations of their blades. I love TOPS, but they seem to be struggling for new ideas. I also wish they would use better steel than just 1095HC for everything. The IVIE is just a glorified box cutter. The Badger Creek looks like a larger and less appealing version of the Backpacker's Bowie, the Abaniko has a smaller blade of the US Combat knife with an exaggerated choil and thumb ramp, the last prototype with the tan handle looks like a cross betwern the El Pionero and Skinat and, to go with the mini blades, there's a small kukri with a karambit handle. Still waiting on the Lilith and ginunting blade that were shown off last year. And TOPS still has some of the worst sheaths in the industry.
I’m a tops fan…. Have half a dozen or so…. But I’m just shaking my head at everything in that table… Focus on better steals and sheath set ups Instead of more rediculous shapes.
TOPS, for the love of God, stop putting those notches at the end of the blades like on the Khukri Karambit. Why? It creates a weak point for no useful reason.
shrinkflation hitting hard this year
You nailed it 🤣
Yeah, if there was any less steel on some of those knives they be just a handle..
Indeed. Passing it on to the consumer (the dummy). I wouldn't buy ANY of these knives whatsoever. But I ain't a toopid kiddo either. :o)
😂right 😂
I need that kukri!
Got me a cut 4.0 like me a chop 5.0 , im loving that kukri blade baby this is art
guys please im still waiting for some of the ones they showed off last year to come out
3 finger grip on a 4 inch knife seems criminal
Agreed, waayyy off with the aesthetics, comfort and function.
Yea def is weird. The second one wasn’t bad
The blue handle looks like same on my Tops Delta Unit 3 and i absolutely love this knife.
I like the look of the El Chete at that size but I'd like to see a bit of a bigger handle.
That mini boning knife looks cool. I’d get that for like blue gill and other small fish like that that I normally fish for

agree with the larger mini el chete
Ivie looks the best
Here’s an idea TOPS, drop the crappy design and up your sheath game!!!

The mini El Chete would make a great kitchen knife.

Im keeping my eye out for that Kukri. Always wanted one that size and now I found one if they end up making it
Thanks for all the great shot show footage guys, your doing great George.
I want a Kukri combo with the karambit and the bushcrafter. Maybe a sheath that can hold both. Please and thank you.
How many weakpoints do you want?
Tops: YES!
Speak in a switching gears you guys need to expand your horizon on your steel material like 1428 in best 35 something like that😊
Man they did a fine job with the Medusa 🤯
Polar bears are highly endangered, but I understand your point. I'm sure there's somebody out there hunting them anyways though.
The Medusa looks like it would be a good skinning knife.
I think more for trapping in combat
The Brum Frank knife is wicked. The Ontario 7" Blade just had a bad shealth. I hope TOPS does a better sheath.
Tops always hits it out of the park!
Except this year.
When is this hitting the stores???
What is the purpose of notch in the spine of Bushcraft Karambit?
When’s the Badger creek coming out and how much?
When will these be available in the website
You could say that, Craig.
PLEASE make that Ivy available... a neck knife w/ kydex sheath and a lanyard w/ bead would be amazing imo. I would buy one for sure.
Ill take a Medusa and a kukri
Man, I'd be hard pressed to find a knife I'd be annoyed to receive as a gift, and this table has eight of em.
I must've got distracted because I never saw him pick up the cleaver 3rd from the left. That was one of 2 I would be interested in.

Unless you have massive fingers, the ring is big enough for like Mechanix gloves. I thought of that.
The Bram Frank is litearlly the only design on that table worth a shit.
El Chete Mini! If this doesn’t come out and I can’t get one, I’m going to be so pissed off! Don’t show something unless it’s really coming out please.😂 I don’t even care if it doesn’t work as a knife I want it
Let me quess..mini knives at full size prices?
Still waiting on the wood nymph …….
I wish you do a collaborative work for the emerson gov't mule also a tops version of bk18
I'm loving it I think they handle needs to be just a little bit, did I say a little bit longer😊
I'm really loving that karambit/cookry you really need to consider putting that in n690😊
Kukri *
The Medusa is 🔥🔥🔥
A reverse addition of a reverse edge, a karambit ring, and a multi positional kydex style sheath, and it would be absolutely perfect!
Now that makes good CommonCents!
A kitchen knife not so much but I can Dig it !
For such a small company they make so many different models
I like that kitchen one with the blue handle. Name??? I didn't hear a name for it.
We are currently calling it the Prototype X1. That may change once it goes into production.
I feel like everyone is making a kukri
Bring back the Tac Tops Karambit!!!
Nah.. that Bowie style is the one I have to get
I’m going to scout carry that one or the mini cleaver
Tops employees = Rock Stars.
Need a Gladius mini
Nothing says snapping your blade in half better then TOPS knives.

i have always been a fan but theese are too special for me.....
Is this for real?
Nothing is real.
There's one born every .............
I’m a tops fan…. Have half a dozen or so….
But I’m just shaking my head at everything in that table…
Focus on better steals and sheath set ups Instead of more rediculous shapes.
As an avid Tops fan, I have to say these don’t quite hit the mark. It ain’t always easy creating new, but this ain’t it…
TOPS, for the love of God, stop putting those notches at the end of the blades like on the Khukri Karambit. Why? It creates a weak point for no useful reason.
Looks like a bread knife
Karakha
Tops are expensive knife jewelry. You’re better off with an ESEE.
15:38 really? You’re gonna use that thing for chopping? There are thousands and thousands of better options.
Tops I’m disappointed!
You don't show the knives very well
More useless designs
Very disappointing preview.
1095 steel 👎
Guaranteed you’d not tell the difference if you weren’t told 🙄
@@robdubent Pretty sure I would after some food prep, camp chores, and field dressing some game, or maybe you're that guy that just buys knives.
I need that kukri!
