I dunno, when I'm sweating, yea, it sucks. But when I play with my friends and we're all laughing and having fun, that's when you realize why crossplay exists. Most of my friends are not sweats and play console only. It's the only way we ever got to play FPS games together.
This is true I am from SEA and I mostly play in Tokyo Servers and sometimes I randomly get teamed up with JP streamers most of them are pros. I only started playing Apex on 2022 and has 600+ hours, I don't like controllers on FPS games so I only play MnK my aim is not that bad but not good either I only get 5-8 kills on average and these random streamers can get fricking 20+ kills so I go to their streams and turns out most of them use a controller. Anybody who doesn't believe is free to say skill issue but there is no denying the fact that the controller AIM assist on this game is OP especially at mid to close quarters. I even tried playing with a controller though I suck at it (might be because of my bad usb controllers) I can definitely see the aim assist improved my spray control and tracking better and it's smoother meanwhile if I am on MnK I'll fricking miss all the time especially if the enemy is a movement player. PC Apex should have an option to toggle input based match making because this is dumb that the console has cosplay toggle yet PC version cannot.

The solution is Gyro Aim. Even if they nerfed it to .15 (rotational AA) which is what the modded servers have found to be an appropriate amount it would still be inhuman. Gyro Aim is Raw Input and so it creates a way for controller to aim as close to M&K levels of precision as possible.

I think a split gyro controller would be the best design imo, kinda like how a wiimote would work with the left thumbstick controller.. only difference is that it wouldnt suck to aim with like a wii remote would, then it would bridge the gap between controller and kbm and get rid of aim assist all together.
@@LostLinguine The only problem with that at the moment is all the current split controllers have horrible gyroscopes compared to the duelsense and alpakka. If someone released a good split controller with touchpads and gyroscopes on par with the above controllers then I'd be down to try them out.
Yes Its broken, I played 4 years on Roller not because I wanted to but because I needed to, and me having no experience with a roller in any FPS, actually hating FPS with roller I was 1 clipping the first week I played, any roller who says otherwise is coping. Solution input based servers MnK vs MnK Roller vs Roller A mixed mode for the ones who dont mind it Allow consoles to have MnK to have more than just PC MnK and force PC rollers to play against Console rollers.
Bro ,I had no idea about the rotational aimassist bs. I'm a hard-core controller player but I didn't play apex and didn't understand why everyone started getting dramatic about it lately and to top it off ,I didn't understand why I couldn't aim as well (because I was fighting the rotation in the aimassist) thank you. Also ,is there a way to turn off rotational aimassist while keeping normal aimassist?
the biggest issue is with how much visual clutter there is in this game, it doesn't matter how good your mouse tracking is when you can't even see the target clearly. meanwhile aim assist works through all that visual clutter so it doesn't matter if the roller player can see you clearly or not, they're still going land their shots.

Controller is underpowered (lack of moving and looting a box, lack of tap strafing, etc), AA is extremely overpowered and broken. Lower the values to .15-.2 and give them moving in a deathbox, and revisit the problem in 6 months. Or keep the same values and give mnk reduced flinch in gunfights.
The real solution is it that respawn and EA need to grab their balls, eliminate the crossplay and nerf controller on PC, how is it possible that ov2, with a dead player base, have the courage to don't implement cross play and don't let the pc players use controller? But na, for now I'm moving to something else, let's see if in 2 years they do something 😅
A guy that knows what hes talking about finally, pc roller can do legit everything mnk can do atm with help of configs (some should be bannable). They need to put pc aa to 0.2 from 0.4 and console to 0.4 from 0.6 and see how it goes honestly

@MasterMeow "Give me 120fps waaa". At least consoles are optimized for gaming. Windows is so bloated nowadays and Apex is so poorly optimized, the game feels weird/choppy/stuttery unless you play on 240hz/300fps or 360hz/300fps with 5-10 ping which is unrealistic for 90% of the players.

Sure consoles are optimized for gaming but apex is not optimized for consoles. When I want to reload but instead open a door for the enemy it does Throw you for a loop. If your fighting behind a knockdown shield you cant fast reload you have to empty your clip or else you’ll go for a res mid fight. Oh man there so much more but honestly all I really want are the frames man.
Anyone who says that having movement is bonus for MNK is delusional. You spend countless hours just PRACTICING to do the tech, not to mention you can actually do it under pressure in Respawns awful servers compared to some 13-35 year old who decided too use his xbox controller. It takes no skill to use a controller, there's practically no learning curve they are made for anyone to pick up and use within a day or two. I've played on console alll my life till maybe 3 years ago and playing Apex makes you feel like mnk is a waste of time for this game.
What no one talks about is that 4/3 classic on pc and 4/3 classic on console is completely different lol I'm console so playing 4/3 classic or linear is entirely too slow for anyone. The equivalent of 4/3 classic/linear on pc for console would be 5/4 classic/linear. I don't want to get into all of the crazy tiny details because that's entirely way too much to type but that's just my 2cent lol
They are the same values and acceleration, its just on console you're on 60 fps and locked vsync with no vrr makes it so the response times are slow = perceived slowness, thats why linear is more difficult on console

Fair enough, def a problem if majority of the player base and pros are switching. I play controller, more specifically console as its what i grew up on, since PS1. I dont foresee myself getting a PC as im a casual gamer. Trust me, you can literally get 1 clipped by a bot who you can see defs did not put much time into the game, i think thats a problem.
i play at singapore, no controller yay, BUT i met worse. Aimbot bro. Even mixtape - every 2-4 games it met a cheater. Sometime 2 in the same fcuking game for god sake. And a huge mixed of high ping players that had no choice for example play singapore server from India (EA's fault). That make the game suck as it plays so different when you have good ping players, vs a huge mix of high ping players, to get consistent shots.
The shit we see on Singapore and HK server too, every mix tape game has a MINIMUM OF 2 FK BOTS!!! HK Server is worse and almost IDIOTIC in the morning. Team Death match, i met 7 BOTS, with Only 2 real person from my team including myself, and 1 real player from enemy team. Holy shit the state of APEX here.
I have tested the controller 🎮 in the order to see how to make on some mekanics in my own game. And the first thing I done it's to Chenge the button layout on apex in controller's. The default button layout is horrible on controller I don't know how people play like this. 😅 The add the jump button on the left solder the ability on the right solder The run wean you press the left stick, And the use/reload on the A button I also make to Chenge weapon wean you press down arrow on the dpap. In that way I have the most stuff always in my hand and the stuff I don't do all the time on face button's. Enway what is your segment for aim assist im working on mulpayer fps game that i will have controller support seen my game have the option to play up to 4 player's with split screen That means wean you play split screen at least 3 off the 4 player's need to use controller's 🎮, I also want the split screen system to work wean you play online or lan game. (Even if don't add aim assist play with 4 people are better for not paying at all however like you already know play with controller with out aim assist with player's that mice you have manger disadvantage because stick are way worse for aiming)

There is only one solution, even 11 months later, to this problem. Give MNK players aim-assist free lobbies. Don't separate MNK and controller, just make it so that you can play in lobbies with no aim assist, that's it.
Someone should just put a touchpad instead of the right stick on a controller. That combined with gyro will make controller as good as mnk without any need for aim assist
higher fps doesn't make you better at the game. In fact it makes it easier to hit multiple different movement techs. You saying this just proves that you don't know what you're talking about. The problem with aim assist is that it has to be strong enough for casual player who might only play games occasionally can jump on and still have fun, however this one fits all solution can become extremely abusable by players who have developed the.motor control to be somewhat precise with the sticks. Apex has a high TTK so good tracking is very rewarded. However it does lead to a very limited console 'meta' where close range spray weapons dominate. Honestly, on Xbox i very rarely get killed by a wingman, snipers, marksman rifles etc. I mostly het killed by a squad overwhelming yiu with smgs wtc. Console Apex has always been get close with full auto weapons. I dabble on PC as well and you get beamed mid range much more, where on console yiu can just rush swuad rush teams over open ground.

The fact apex was originally pooling players to their respective platform then problems arose once crossplay was introduced tells anyone with common sense that crossplay was the problem and still IS the problem. If you chose to not have crossplay then you can't even find a match. You actually HAVE to play with other platforms besides yours. It's deplorable. The reason I own a specific console is because I want to play with people on that console. Not people on other consoles. If you're going to force crossplay just let people use mouse and keyboard legitimately without a XIM. And ACTUALLY ban people for using ZENs as well and stop endorsing it (looking at you Microsoft). People using keyboard and mouse on the console level against other players who don't partake in being an actual loser and doing the same, make the game an actual snoozefest. Like yea man, I can beam people with my mouse and keyboard as well. But the issue is you're doing against people who have to use a thumb to cover the same range of motion. Meanwhile, they sit over here using half of their arm to make movements. It's an absolute unfair advantage and should be considered cheating as crossplay is console to console, unless there's a PC player in the pre-made.

When i jump in a game with my PC buddy and play in PC lobbies, its a tougher challenge due to people having good movement and the punishment you get for making one mistake . Once i play in console lobbies it's easy to get wins.

The issue that you and many people have is understanding averages, stats, data, etc. It's a condition that afflicts millions of people around the globe, so don't feel bad. When you look at the data from every skill tier, hours played, time on input, etc, controller consistently outperforms MnK players. What you want to see is parity. If you take the data from 10,000 controller players with under 1000 hours played and see that they average 1.25kd, and you take 10,000 MnK players with less than 10000 hours played and they average 0.75 KD, there is an issue with input balance. Similarly, if you completely removed aim assist, you'd see something like that same set of MnK vs controller players data flip. MnK would be all 1.25 kd averages and roller players would be in shambles with sub 0.5 kd. And that's not correct either. Respawn's lead devs have said publicly they have looked at the large datasets they have had from season to season and are not happy with how much controller players are outperforming MnK. And every pro player agrees it's an issue. This isn't really up for debate. It's just an issue that needs to be fixed.

Few seasons ago I used to play on both EU and sometimes NA, when id play on NA id notice that people were averaging less skill but id die way too often and I noticed that NA had so many controller players, meanwhile on EU people were skilled af at both movement, playing around covers, 1v1s, aiming but I would win most of my gunfights simply bcs id outplay them.. Now that i've come back to Apex, i'm noticing the same thing on EU, people are somewhat skilled but i know im better, yet im still losing fights even tho i play every day and i practice aim daily + trying to improve ingame. Also with the Solos now being a mode, 85% of my deathcams are controller deaths and after that ppl looting my box standing still. "aiming with your whole arm while im using only my thumb" lol, just try using ur whole arm for at least a week, id pay to see that. sorry bro but ur just bad at the game then.. when someone is tap strafing away from ur crosshair or doing movement techs, they are either not shooting at you or have to really be amazing at aiming and play with 1-3-1 mouse grip to be able to jump+strafe while shooting at you (thats where the neo-strafing and other movement techs come in play) - but this sh*t is so rare because its insanely hard to do and you have to really put in work to master it.. for example look at xzylas - guy has thousands of hours in apex and a huge % of those hours is just mastering movement, meanwhile a casual player can just pick up controller and play for a few days and destroy half the mnk lobby.. so, yeah, back to what ive said first, ur bad at the game bro its the harsh reality ull have to face (im not good either), when u start shooting at the guy and he starts moving crazy not shooting back at you, you dont have to empty your whole mag into air bro LOL... either wait for a good moment to start shooting or take cover until u get a good opportunity idk what to tell you but him moving and strafing away wont kill you..

Yeah sure but getting used to a controller is easier especially with the aim assist so in theory a roller player with a good gaming sense will definitely obliterate your average MnK player. Like bruh with MnK it's not only the game sense you are working with you will actually have to train your muscle control (arm, wrist, fingers, shoulder) without aim assist only raw input and it is actually harder than most of you controller players think but with a controller the aim assist almost do all the smooth aiming and tracking for you. I tried playing with a controller and it is night and day compared to MnK the aim assist is unfair but I still prefer MnK because I am more oriented to that. Not against console or controller players but let's be real aim assist in apex is broken and the only solution is to have input based match making I don't even care if I get longer queue times.

The problem is you don't have to practice nearly as much to get the same result if not better, not to mention it being as consistent as a computer aiming for you. The only problem with that at the moment is all the current split controllers have horrible gyroscopes compared to the duelsense and alpakka. If someone released a good split controller with touchpads and gyroscopes on par with the above controllers then I'd be down to try them out.

the biggest issue is with how much visual clutter there is in this game, it doesn't matter how good your mouse tracking is when you can't even see the target clearly. meanwhile aim assist works through all that visual clutter so it doesn't matter if the roller player can see you clearly or not, they're still going land their shots.
Not just that, aim punch on PC is way worse than on roller for some reason. As soon as my shields get broken my aim completely goes to shit.

Controller is underpowered (lack of moving and looting a box, lack of tap strafing, etc), AA is extremely overpowered and broken. Lower the values to .15-.2 and give them moving in a deathbox, and revisit the problem in 6 months. Or keep the same values and give mnk reduced flinch in gunfights.

@MasterMeow "Give me 120fps waaa". At least consoles are optimized for gaming. Windows is so bloated nowadays and Apex is so poorly optimized, the game feels weird/choppy/stuttery unless you play on 240hz/300fps or 360hz/300fps with 5-10 ping which is unrealistic for 90% of the players.

Sure consoles are optimized for gaming but apex is not optimized for consoles. When I want to reload but instead open a door for the enemy it does Throw you for a loop. If your fighting behind a knockdown shield you cant fast reload you have to empty your clip or else you’ll go for a res mid fight.

Anyone who says that having movement is bonus for MNK is delusional. You spend countless hours just PRACTICING to do the tech, not to mention you can actually do it under pressure in Respawns awful servers compared to some 13-35 year old who decided too use his xbox controller. It takes no skill to use a controller, there's practically no learning curve they are made for anyone to pick up and use within a day or two. I've played on console alll my life till maybe 3 years ago and playing Apex makes you feel like mnk is a waste of time for this game.

They are the same values and acceleration, its just on console you're on 60 fps and locked vsync with no vrr makes it so the response times are slow = perceived slowness, thats why linear is more difficult on console

i play at singapore, no controller yay, BUT i met worse. Aimbot bro. Even mixtape - every 2-4 games it met a cheater. Sometime 2 in the same fcuking game for god sake. And a huge mixed of high ping players that had no choice for example play singapore server from India (EA's fault). That make the game suck as it plays so different when you have good ping players, vs a huge mix of high ping players, to get consistent shots.
The shit we see on Singapore and HK server too, every mix tape game has a MINIMUM OF 2 FK BOTS!!! HK Server is worse and almost IDIOTIC in the morning. Team Death match, i met 7 BOTS, with Only 2 real person from my team including myself, and 1 real player from enemy team. Holy shit the state of APEX here.

I have tested the controller 🎮 in the order to see how to make on some mekanics in my own game.
And the first thing I done it's to Chenge the button layout on apex in controller's.
The default button layout is horrible on controller I don't know how people play like this. 😅

I play apex on Nintendo switch and I tested the aim assist 100% tracked the bot it's really broken.
Recoil controll on controller is not that easy for 70 percent of players, thoes shot on the target would have given you like maybe 100 damage at most

The problem with aim assist is that it has to be strong enough for casual player who might only play games occasionally can jump on and still have fun, however this one fits all solution can become extremely abusable by players who have developed the.motor control to be somewhat precise with the sticks. Apex has a high TTK so good tracking is very rewarded. However it does lead to a very limited console 'meta' where close range spray weapons dominate. Honestly, on Xbox i very rarely get killed by a wingman, snipers, marksman rifles etc. I mostly het killed by a squad overwhelming yiu with smgs wtc. Console Apex has always been get close with full auto weapons. I dabble on PC as well and you get beamed mid range much more, where on console yiu can just rush swuad rush teams over open ground.

The fact apex was originally pooling players to their respective platform then problems arose once crossplay was introduced tells anyone with common sense that crossplay was the problem and still IS the problem. If you chose to not have crossplay then you can't even find a match. You actually HAVE to play with other platforms besides yours. It's deplorable. The reason I own a specific console is because I want to play with people on that console. Not people on other consoles. If you're going to force crossplay just let people use mouse and keyboard legitimately without a XIM. And ACTUALLY ban people for using ZENs as well and stop endorsing it (looking at you Microsoft). People using keyboard and mouse on the console level against other players who don't partake in being an actual loser and doing the same, make the game an actual snoozefest. Like yea man, I can beam people with my mouse and keyboard as well. But the issue is you're doing against people who have to use a thumb to cover the same range of motion. Meanwhile, they sit over here using half of their arm to make movements. It's an absolute unfair advantage and should be considered cheating as crossplay is console to console, unless there's a PC player in the pre-made.

When i jump in a game with my PC buddy and play in PC lobbies, its a tougher challenge due to people having good movement and the punishment you get for making one mistake . Once i play in console lobbies it's easy to get wins.

You’re able to tap strafe and you’re gonna complain bc of a some aim assist for somebody who’s aiming with their thumb and not their whole arm 🤔
The issue that you and many people have is understanding averages, stats, data, etc. It's a condition that afflicts millions of people around the globe, so don't feel bad.
When you look at the data from every skill tier, hours played, time on input, etc, controller consistently outperforms MnK players.
What you want to see is parity. If you take the data from 10,000 controller players with under 1000 hours played and see that they average 1.25kd, and you take 10,000 MnK players with less than 10000 hours played and they average 0.75 KD, there is an issue with input balance. Similarly, if you completely removed aim assist, you'd see something like that same set of MnK vs controller players data flip. MnK would be all 1.25 kd averages and roller players would be in shambles with sub 0.5 kd. And that's not correct either.
Respawn's lead devs have said publicly they have looked at the large datasets they have had from season to season and are not happy with how much controller players are outperforming MnK. And every pro player agrees it's an issue. This isn't really up for debate. It's just an issue that needs to be fixed.

1. mnk players that want to improve have to practice aim (kovaaks/aimlabs/etc) EVERY DAY - and then they will still lose 1v1s to an average controller player
2. why would any pro player with more than 5k hours on mnk apex just randomly switch to roller? also in that range of question, why is there such a huge % of controller players?
Few seasons ago I used to play on both EU and sometimes NA, when id play on NA id notice that people were averaging less skill but id die way too often and I noticed that NA had so many controller players, meanwhile on EU people were skilled af at both movement, playing around covers, 1v1s, aiming but I would win most of my gunfights simply bcs id outplay them.. Now that i've come back to Apex, i'm noticing the same thing on EU, people are somewhat skilled but i know im better, yet im still losing fights even tho i play every day and i practice aim daily + trying to improve ingame. Also with the Solos now being a mode, 85% of my deathcams are controller deaths and after that ppl looting my box standing still.

sorry bro but ur just bad at the game then.. when someone is tap strafing away from ur crosshair or doing movement techs, they are either not shooting at you or have to really be amazing at aiming and play with 1-3-1 mouse grip to be able to jump+strafe while shooting at you (thats where the neo-strafing and other movement techs come in play) - but this sh*t is so rare because its insanely hard to do and you have to really put in work to master it.. for example look at xzylas - guy has thousands of hours in apex and a huge % of those hours is just mastering movement, meanwhile a casual player can just pick up controller and play for a few days and destroy half the mnk lobby..

Yeah sure but getting used to a controller is easier especially with the aim assist so in theory a roller player with a good gaming sense will definitely obliterate your average MnK player. Like bruh with MnK it's not only the game sense you are working with you will actually have to train your muscle control (arm, wrist, fingers, shoulder) without aim assist only raw input and it is actually harder than most of you controller players think but with a controller the aim assist almost do all the smooth aiming and tracking for you. I tried playing with a controller and it is night and day compared to MnK the aim assist is unfair but I still prefer MnK because I am more oriented to that. The problem is you don't have to practice nearly as much to get the same result if not better, not to mention it being as consistent as a computer aiming for you. I'll watch my roller teammates just abuse the AA when you first start ADS they just aim, un-aim, aim, un-aim especially with wingman its fucking stupid they just press LT and get a headshot cause their crosshair placement was kinda on them.
I say this every time my keyboard friends have their "last straw" game and drop 80 dam on a controller game . the theory is nice but honestly I think the variable is the fact that controller players been running fast paced FPS games on console since halo 1 when AA was non existent . I have better reaction time than all of you AA is a bonus
