Statistics 101: ANOVA, A Visual Introduction

  • ANOVA allows us to move beyond comparing just two populations. With ANOVA we can compare multiple populations and even subgroups of those populations. In this video we will not be doing any calculations, looking at any formulas, or testing any hypotheses. This video offers a solid, conceptual foundation about ANOVA using illustrations and graphics. So if you are new to ANOVA or are still trying to figure out exactly what it is...this video is for you.

This is why open-source learning is statistically significant better than lessons that we get from Universities. You actually manage to explain it in a way that it helps people, rather than showing off that you know what it's all about.
    Thank you very much!

After your lectures i always feel that the books we have been studying or the professors we have been paying in millions at universities, perhaps conspired not to let us really understand the concepts, leaving things confusing and mixed up in our heads. You should write a book. It will be a favor to a Mankind. You are a Magician!

Exactly, the importance of these videos relies in that they show students all over the world that it’s not their fault that they don’t understand but teachers’ . Every student I know learns more by watching yt videos than they do in school or uni. And this should be a BIG wake up call for the teaching establishment which has not yet seem to have noticed this, which goes to show once again how obsolete or lazy they are.

Hello! Oh thank you so much. :) I am all with you on needing concrete examples. Right now I am working on the One-Way ANOVA video but you are correct, the more complex the topic the longer and more difficult the instructional design becomes. And thank YOU for inspiring me to do these videos. I know some people need a different way of seeing this stuff, so I just try to offfer a new set of glasses. :P All the best! - B

I've learned a lot from you about statistics. But most importantly, these videos were sort of a sample that literally challenged the assumption, the given or the status-quo that school is the ultimate place for learning. For that Null Hypothesis is so rejected you'd think it came from a completely different distribution . Which begs the question, why go to school for learning in the first place??!! Few errors in my metaphor, mostly type II, but you get the idea. Thank you so much! About two months ago, I had no idea what statistics are. Now I'm using statistics to infer about points and make better decisions about my work. Thank you is not enough at all.
