Very helpful, thanks! I love drawing portraits and objects because it makes me focus. And now I love this because it makes me less tensed. And it's fun and looks prettier than you'd expect.

I enjoyed this but it is hard to let go. Closing the eyes is a great excise. I'll do this doodling a few times. I look forward to the next video. Thank you, Joy.

Thanks so much! Yes, closing your eyes is a great way to shift the brain into creative mode and let go. So simple and effective!! Enjoy! 😊

Thank you, because i always feel like i make the same exact kind of stupid marks. And i need to learn to start using my right side of my brain. I believe i seen a video of turning a photo referencebupside down to draw it. That would train ourselves to use the right side of our brain. Thank you again Joy. I always felt i learned from you, watching your videos.

I absolutely love this exercise, Joy. I have been so interested in abstract art over the last several months, but hadn't yet found a fun and thorough explanation on how to approach it that I connect with. Really excited to continue on in the series! Thank you for sharing this!
Edited to add, I also love that you emphasize using the right side of your brain.. I had an art teacher in high school that would fuss at us to, "use your right brain!!" 😂
