And much like Ulric Kerensky he was a moderate who understood his enemy better than any trueborn warrior. Had he survived I would have been interested in how his story would have turned out as a bondsman for the Comguards.
A couple minor critiques/nitpicks. Star Colonel Rard Hoyt's unit is the 1st Falcon Striker Cluster of Delta Galaxy. The 1st Falcon Jaegers are with Epsilon Galaxy, so they wouldn't have participated in Tukkayid, since the Jade Turkeys bid Gamma, Delta, and Vau. Also, you said the 2nd Falcon Regulars participated in the jump crossing of the river with the Falcon Guards when it was Marthe Pryde's unit the 2nd Falcon Jaegers. The mixing up the 1st Strikers and 1st Jaegers happens a lot, even in some of the sources, so I can totally understand the confusion. I could have misheard, or you could have misspoke with the 2nd Jaegers and 2nd Regulars mistake. As I said, just a couple minor nitpicks.
I would be more inclined to lay these issues on the writing here. This is all from the Tukayyid sourcebook word for word so anything is likely a writing error or something that has since been retconned. One of the weird terms used in this book is the reference of Khan for any officer, even when they may be a loremaster or sakhan for instance. Either this is intentional and meant to represent Comstars general lack of knowledge at the time of compiling the document (since all Battletech books are written from the perspective of a Comstar scholar) or the writers at that time probably just went with a general term. So the issue with units possibly being in the wrong place could be a writer making a genuine mistake and it was never changed in subsequent publications. Thanks for watching NRSGuardian :)
Man, the redistribution of troops after each clan leaves almost makes it seem as though Ulric and Anastasius planned the entire campaign to be unwinnable by the Clans... If each clan had the staying power to keep their small opposition engaged, the subsequent Clans would have had more success against better odds. each time.
Well Focht used the clans own bidding against them. He straight up tells Ulric that the Comguard army is X size and Ulric knows that the best bet Clan Wolf has is to go last but have the most troops. The other clans are so entrenced in their competitive nature that Focht could simply sit back and watch them deplete their troops by bidding them away. Ulric tried to warn them, but they wouldn't listen.
@@CriticalRocket Man Claners are so fucking dumb, lets hope they never get their heads on straight otherwise the inner sphere will be in trouble. Also you know, some one acutlly has to start writing new lore, and that's not happening :(
@@KarlRosner I take it you are not aware that The Republic of the Sphere has fallen, IlClan Wolf holds Terra and the IlKhan Alaric Ward has been crowned as First Lord for the new Star League? Just curious about everyone’s opinion on the “phantom Mech” things that happened in early BT. They’ve been largely ignored afterward. Too much like magic with no real mechanical explanation. Personally I would prefer to just have the Mechwarrior be piloting so well it would be like the Mech was “dancing”. Makes the Warrior seem terrifying rather than lucky. But if would love to hear others points of view.
I've thought that Kell's targeting computer essentially overloaded Yorinaga's Warhammer, they were supposedly fighting at point blank range. The closest for me is how the ECM in MWO will prevent targeting on a mech when standing next to it. If Yorinaga had damage to his targeting system it may not be doing what he thought. I've never really been able to resolve it for myself either.
Namaan_TAW The OG phantom Mech situation. I hadn’t thought of overloading computers. The ECM in MWO does make you invisible to sensors but that was lostech at the time. I haven’t been able to come to a good rationale either. Fun to discuss though.
I always got the impression he had access to a prototype stealth system or a type of guardian ECM that screwed with the targeting computers. I kind of get the feeling the writer was hinting that Kell may have been a Gundam newtype pilot or something, because rule of cool, but I think it was some prototype system he found in a brian cache or something along those lines.
Critical Rocket The issue with it being ECM is that is happens to both Kells, Yorinaga Kurita, and Jamie Wolf (I believe). I definitely feel like it was some sort of mystical thing and it always bugged me for how out of place it seemed in the universe.
Since you're doing this series is there also a possibility in the future of doing Operation Klondike or do you have plans to do an Inner Sphere campaign next ?
I'm not usually a fan of the Green Parakeets but Aidan Prydes last stand to buy his daughter time is the ultimate Chad move on Tukkayid
Sweet! Reminds me of Falcon Guard. the book by Robert Thurston.
Love the Trilogy. Aidan became known and redeem the Falcon Guards.
Aidan Pryde put up one helluva fight.

Thanks for this video.
Edit: Gotta love Jade Falcon, the jerks of Battletech. They are my fav clan by the way.
Aidan Pryde!
A wonderful tail as usual

NRSGuardian Well said and respectfully put. Always good to see fellow lore hound who appreciates the work he puts into these.

As many as I can really. So yes Klondike, Luthien, Twycross, Coventry, liberation of terra 1 and 2, first and second succession war and more.
@@CriticalRocket That's very good man , really looking forward to that .
