@@jah5075 it actually went very smooth. I’m handy but by no means a contractor. I framed it all myself and had the drywall era touch up the edges. Where he used sheet metal screws to set the bracket height because he said he could not get to them because the 2x4 was in the way was due to a small error in his process. I set all of the brackets to 3/4” shorter than my frame and secured them prior to lifting and then installing. Installation was a breeze. I went with the double blower motor 1100 cfm motor. So far every single person that has come in our house has loved it.
Can you recommend any installers in GA? I am about to get the 64 inch for my remodel. I have a sofit built already but will have to remove the sheetrock to install. Am using the old duckwork already there to vent it out.
Yes. Also it comes with an adapter that plugs into an electrical outlet that holds the remote. Does not use power, just uses the outlet as a holder like if you have outlets in your island.
Khaled that doesn’t sound easy to do, the only way is if you build a drop soffit and lower the Zephyr down, also you would need to expose your entire ceiling, ie remove all drywall and route the duct in between rafters.
@@MuellerMechanical I was just wondering this same thing for myself...Mine is new construction but I wouldn't want to drop it down. Is their not a slimmer version for in between ceiling joists?
They're talking about the button on the hood itself - it's the grey silver panel with light - on/off - fan. BUT BUT BUT - wow the instructions are terrible for how to set up the antenna - and this is absolutely critical. If you can't get the remote to talk to the hood, try taking off all the grease covers and I bet it'll start working for you. The remote is a radio, and all the metal in the way appears to block the remote signal really well.
No this was a kitchen remodel so the roof penetration and roof vent was already existing but fan was moved to new location in the remodel. Super easy to re route to existing vent vs. tearing into new roof work. Thanks, MM

About to tackle this install myself. Video was very reassuring. Thank you!
How did it go? I'm going to do the same.

Thank you for this video!
I appreciate the detail of this video. Do you think you could pre-run the duct work and install this from below in a finished space w/o attic access?
Thank you for this !
Were you able to fit this in a standard truss/rafter spacing?

How is the noise level and the fans ability to remove cooking smoke/odor?
Is the remote control magnetic?

Can this be installed if I have my 2nd floor above the kitchen? (There’s a bedroom above the kitchen, not my attic)

Do you currently have a range hood with exhaust up to roof? Or does your hood just filter and recycle the air back into the kitchen?

How do you pair the remote? The instructions indicate that you need to press the light button on the unit itself but I’m not seeing any…

Wouldn't it be better to go straight up through roof instead of routing through a couple of 90 curves?
