- I'M FINALLY MONETIZED ON TH-cam! This has probably been the biggest milestone on my TH-cam journey so far.
In this video, I cover EVERYTHING I know about monetization and share my experience becoming eligible, and then going to the approval process on Google Adsense and TH-cam. I also share how much my first paycheck from TH-cam was :)

thank you Dina, 3:42 I am currently at the "Step 2" and felt that I missed something and I think it was the Tax thing (just filled it out). Also, your video is very helpful, I was glad to know you applied on Friday and got approved on Monday cause I did not expect they work weekends

I am literally stuck at the moment at the ''Step 2'' for more than 48 hours and I was also feeling something is not right. This is so frustrating. So I just filled out the US tax form ( I am based in Germany and thought I do not have to do that :-D ). Can you tell me if you passed already the Step 2? However, in my situation, 4th of July - l Applied for the programme, 7th of July discovered that this Tax form is not completed (also cause I am not in the US, I am in UK) I filled it at the same night, 10th of July I received an email that they could not associate AdSense with TH-cam (and basic stuff about 2nd account I don't have) I got error with the step 2 (instead of processing it was just "there is an error with your AdSense account, to fix it "press ok" and it brought me back to AdSense page where I just agreed with the terms and the Step 2 became "in Progress" again)

I was monetized for a few years and then took a break from youtube and unfortunately dropped below the watch hour requirements so I lost my monetization :( been back consistantly posting on youtube these past few months so hopefully i can gain back my monetization

Congrats!!! Compared to 1 month it took me 2 days which I was very shocked at.
TH-cam said I will only get the pin stuff after I reach the first threshold of $100. So its pretty confusing, even Ad sense hasn't asked me to verify my identity or link my bank; the tab is blank for me, but I have done the tax stuff already.Ive been waiting to see the amounts go up but nothing. How long did it take you to start seeing the money go up?
Oh hmmmm..I don't remember the exact timing now since it was a year ago.... But I think I got the pin and stuff sorted pretty fast (since I don't remember much). Sorry I can't help much!

How long before u actually start seeing ads on your video after turning them on ?
Right now, I believe all TH-cam videos have ads on them. It's just a matter of whether or not the creator gets paid.
Thats wild on watch hours, I seriously had my watch hours knocked out in like 4 months but the subs 11 months almost

Yeah it took me so long to get the watch hours haha. It's different for everyone!
What if you get all the requirements in just 2 months. Will you be eligible for monitisation or you have to wait for 12 months
Hey Ghetto, I think so. But I'm actually not 100% sure. Maybe check the TH-cam monetization policies to see if they have said anything about that.
I am trying to set up my google adsense account, and it's telling me to link website. What if I don't have a website?

I started my channel 17th December last year, my channel will be a year old on 17th of this month though i still have a bit long way to go via watch hours. Can one be monetize after 12 months ?
Congratulations on having the channel for one year! I think it's totally possible to get monetized, you just have to hit the monetization requirements!

I think you need to fulfill the monetization requirements for EACH channel. As for the 2nd question, I'm not sure it matters?
My main channel took me a year to get a 1k subs, but my new channel only took almost 2 months for 1k subs and 4k watch hours, since I created it last Feb 23, 2023.. And now I'm here because I'm waiting for my new channel to be approved on monetization that I have applied last april 17, 2023 and today, it is now april 19 🥴. Can't wait!! 🥴

I hope you do not mind asking. I did try to apply for Adsense. I have about 19 watch hours and 119 subcribers now when I try to applied for Adsense it says denied as I have to wait to have 4k watch hours and 1k subcribers. I am based in USA. i DISAGREE ON THE WATCH HOURS. I GET 5 THOUSAND A MONTH... SIMPLE, I JUST LIVE STREAM..FOR 5 HOURS A DAY LOL, SO EASY

@@DinaLu TRUE BUT REmember, i was making money... actually i make $1000 or more on youtube through donations... and this is even before i was monetized... i just did live streams hooked up my pay pal, patreon and other forms of payment systems on the chat and pinned it and people donated.... you are a cute girl you could find a friend.. do some live streams you will get the donations... try it sometimes..
I did it in 2 weeks and 3 videos on my other channel. Not hard at all. Just post a few banger videos

Good points. Creating videos where people are searching for stuff helps. There are recommended keywords websites like Tubebuddy to assist with keywords in the description.
