What are your thoughts about visiting Japan? Have you been before? If so, share you favorite spots 🙂🇯🇵

We loved Kyoto! It’s such a beautiful city, such amazing gardens and temples. We also brought home the most amazing furikake from a shop we came across. For whatever reason, we’ll never forget that!

Glad you liked it! Kyoto was definitely our favorite stop in Japan. We love furikake! Do you remember where you got it?! Will add to our list for next time.

@@HelenandTimTravel We don't which is such a bummer. It was a dedicated Furikake shop where we tasted at least 10 varieties. It was on this winding walking street towards an old shrine on a hill. Ha, I'm sure that narrows it down. I'll look at our pictures again, but I don't think we photographed it. We've been searching for this for years. So good. There was also this sour plum instant tea drink that we bought visiting another shrine. Memories are coming in! Safe travels guys!

Great vlog! Kyoto looks beautiful and less busy than Osaka. Loved the shrine with all the Torii. If we ever go to Japan will definitely have to visit that spot!

There is good surf in Japan ☺️ Would love to check that out or skiing. Kyoto was definitely one of our favorite spots in Japan. Would 100% go back

We are really looking forward to exploring Japan. My son has friends there. Looks like you could burn through a budget quickly without proper planning. I like the way Tim plans with the satellite maps. I do that too and it always leads to interesting finds.

We really enjoyed our time in the country. You will really love the people and food. The transportation is very accessible and scenery is fantastic. Definitely spent way more of our budget than we expected. Tim does a great job planning through Google Satellite! You will have a great time with your son. Definitely recommend it

Whoa, Mt. Fuji is snowcapped in May?? That's surprising. I thought that only happens from Nov to Feb.

It can vary year to year for amount Fuji we heard from locals, but we saw that that snow lingered in some photos until end of May this year. Think that happens when they have a late snow season. Have you been before? We want to go back to climb the mountain 😃

does the shinkansen stops directly on fuji? or do i need transfers, if so in that station and how does the transfer work pleaseee

You can use google maps to look at Shinkansen times and schedule. Found a couple helpful links. One on the Japan Rail Pass that explains how you can get there. Shinkansen doesn’t go directly to Fuji, you need to take a bus transfer
Another way to get there is on the Fuji Excursion train, cuts the travel time down quite a bit from Tokyo (Shinjuku Station). Regardless need to transfer on a bus or private transfer to the mountain
. Hope this helps! We didn’t hike on Mount Fuji but was in the area around Lake Kawaguchi

You lucked out…didn’t seem like there were many people in Fushimi Inari.

We did get very lucky! We went around 7:30 and it was right after Golden Week, so there weren’t many people. Hope your travels are going well!
