Thank you so much for listening! This was an incredibly rewarding and meaningful project to work on and I'm honored that George was the one to premiere the piece. More information about the piece is available here: hassmusic.com/solo/imposter/
If I'm able to, would you mind if I tried this piece out on tuba for a solo at one of my bands music festivals? Also absolutely amazing piece. This was a lot of fun to listen too and I didn't really know what imposter syndrome was before now and now I realize I kinda fall under it lol.
That would be incredible! I’m glad the piece and concept spoke to you. The piece was originally for contrabass trombone, so it should lay great on tuba. www.imbrassworks.com/p/chris-evan-hass-flash-in-the-pan-for-unaccompanied-bass-trombone-jdnsei/
@@cehass11thank you so much! I originally actually played violent shadows and since it was only on regular bass trombone and I have a contra tuba I had to bring some things down in octave lol. Also would you be able to try to write something for tuba?
I love George’s playing to death I really do, but I can’t help but feel Dr Denson Pollard and his spectacular contra playing could have brought this to life closer to your original image (I realize it was written for contra)

Love it! Really suits the tone colour of bass trombone. Great composition!
