This is awesome! I had no idea things like this were still in use at all! It never occured to me that Universities and Hospitals were the ideal locations for pneumatic tubes all along.
I didn't know these are still in use. Makes sense when taken into context. It's such a hack, but nothing has come about to top it to this day. Came here after reading about one that used to run through Toronto's Union Station.
I knew banks and Costco used them but I didn't know other institutions did. I'd love to see a follow-up video on how the early 20th c. models accomplished it all without computerized components. Thanks for uploading this!
