Contestant number 2 was like: Gosh did I even say enough? 🥺😁. You did well entry number 2. you are all amazing guys. Don't be disappointed on your performance.
I want to join an extemporaneous speech this September again and I hope I'll do well. These contestants did really well and I'm here to learn from them.
I really love this candidates, very prepared and im inspired because i already joined extemporaneous speach and i actually won since i am a Talkative person😁
Here's the thing contestant number 5, same sex marriage is forbidden by law only because the Family Code is written in such manner, and not because it is expressly prohibited. Had marriage been defined as a union between two natural persons, the issue would not be controversial. Another, the State takes under its wing not just Christians but everyone, regardless of religion. In the Philippines, certain sects believe in same sex marriage. If freedom of religion is to be invoked, don't these groups have a right to express their religion? This is not uncanny in the Philippine context. Look at polygamy. The Constitution expressly forbids naturalization of polygamists. The Family Code renders bigamous marriages as void. The Revised Penal Code punishes bigamy. But our muslim brothers are allowed to have more than one wife, out of respect to their religion. What's the difference between granting this right to Islam but not to other religions? Even further, the State recognizes only secular morality, although there is also the doctrine of benevolent neutrality. Nevertheless, with respect to secular morality, there is nothing that may be offended by the union between two persons of similar sex. Let us remember that marriage is a civil and not a religious concept. In essence, it is a special form of partnership. Religion does not and must not play in policy making as guaranteed by the Constitution in upholding the separation of church and state. Why is it, therefore, that most arguments you used are based on the Bible? Is the Bible paramount to the Constitution? With respect to the State, the Bible is not even competent evidence in a case, much less against the right against discrimination as provided in the Constitution in the form of equal protection. Even in less consequential proceedings like a debate competition, raising the Bible or any other scripture as basis for an argument renders the argument worthless. Again, it is secular and not religious morality which is operative. Now, to you contestant number 5, you all have the right in the world to believe as you do, but your right to express is limited to doing so without hurting others. What you have said is irresponsible and reprehensible. At the end of the day, if we truly believe that in life "to each his own", then such belief must be given life through policy that does not discriminate and propagate hate.
You wrote this whole passionate essay without considering what her original question was??? The question posed to her is itself based on religious context & background and so it is but obvious her answer would be. If it ws solely about same sex marriage without any religious context then ur Essay wud have made sense but then am sure her answer would have too.
Agreed do whatever you want under the sheets just don't indoctrinate other people's children. Not saying you're doing it but your fellows mostly in the WEST are.
I LOVE YOU FOR THIS! But unfortunately enough, her question had a religious backgound, and knowing the context of the bible, she would have said this for religious compliance, and may not be her actual answer if it was about homosexuality in all. But then again, I could be wrong. I still love this essay though, you killed it!
I got a competition next week and I'm here trying to see how it'll be, I'm hella nervous just by seeing them imagine being in their place update: I got the 1st prize
thank you so much guys for the kind words, I joined another competition in school last month and got the 2nd place, confidence is what you need to get the prize!!!

I think 6 should have won like seriously.: Like the winner was just.. His answer was on point and was delivered well.. lol I did not expect the top 3 Well anyways their effort was rewarded. Congrats!!
I actually was waiting for contestant number 6. Him and contestant number 11 did a great job in delivering their speech and making their point. I don't get how number 5 won.
My Ranking would be: 1st place - Number 6 2nd place - Number 11 3rd place- Either 5 or 7 because of their dictions or even 8, 8 is good bro i like how he ended it with a question.
Lol I can't imagine that firstly I choose my top 3 which is contestant no. 5,8, & 11 and I was shocked and surprise when the announced winners are these 3 HAHAHAHA wala lang happy lng, first time ko lng mag comment sa contest at ito pa.. And also for the fellow of the contestants there don't be disappointed you'll did your best and keep it up,, God bless.
If I was the one who will rank them, contestant number 2 ang first and the last number of the contestants is the second, basta ayoko lang yung number 5 saken hahaha, pero answer/opinion niya yun ehh, so I must respect nalang, pero masakit din kasi sa part namen😅😁✌, but its okay
