- During the Drag Event Race1000 I have filmed this crazy 450HP Volkswagen Golf 1 GTI 16v Turbo racing against a 600HP Nissan GT-R R35, 750HP BMW M3 F80 and other modified cars!
This is a 1/2 Mile Drag Event and it's all about topspeeds, results are in the video, hope you enjoy the video!

It could just be me having a bad day, but doesn't anyone remember you're SUPPOSED to floor it on green. Are some of these dudes just sleeping, or is it me. The closest I saw even come close to a launch was what you mentioned here. I might not have the ride to beat em, but I guarantee even at 50 I'd smoke most of these dudes off the line all day long. I dunno, maybe it's me. The videos are rad though my man. I dig the heck outta these ... I wanted to run up and push that dude in the Beemer off the line 😂🤣😂 Cool vids man seriously, I just had to ask

These youngsters dont realize that a 16v turbo in a mk1 rabbit will leave your hair back at the starting line while your skull is at the finish line waiting for the hair to catch up. This is still a fast car on the street against most cars of 2021.
Most people who never drove one of these sub 1000kg, above 300hp cars don't understand. It's thrilling. I was passenger on a RS6 and a 16v Turbo Corsa A. The 16v shakes you so hard youll think ever bolt will come of any moment.
