- During the RACE 1000 1/2 Mile in Germany, I have filmed this beautiful and insane 700HP Volkswagen Passat 32b Synvro 2.2L 20V 5-cylinder turbo. It did some head to head drag races against some other cars, like a new 900HP Porsche 992 Turbo S ES800 LCE Performance, 500HP Porsche 991 GT3 RS MkII and a 740HP BMW M3 G80 Competition by LCE Performance! How is it even a sleeper, this model of Passat is so rare nowadays it will turn more heads than a Ferrari among car enthusiasts.
@@mankihonda983that's a sleeper, because it is how you turn them but even more than like that for sure. And a car that isn't that fast it can't be called a sleeper, well we should expect them to be faster like that tho.
I LOVE sleepers. Currently starting a 88 Tercel EZ and trying to figure out how to mod it up nice and quiet.

Didn't they do this passat with either a 1.4 or 1.5 diesel. Engine same as the polo and around 45hp. This is the best looking passat but mainly because all the other passat's looked even worse.
@@chrishart8548 , 1.6-Liter-Diesel with 54 hp. But back then Diesel wasn't so popular like in the early 2000's.
Hatte ihn in den 90ern als GT mit 90PS von meinem Onkel und danach noch nen Turbodiesel. Waren geile Autos, leicht, zuverlässig und schön :)

Der gute alte 32B. Hatten wir 30 Jahre in der Familie . Den 2.2 E Fünfzylinder. Unzerstörbar! Das waren noch Autos!
So einen ähnlichen Passat hatten meine Eltern früher auch! 👍
Die Anhängekupplung haben wir öfters genutzt, doch um Rennen zu fahren würde ich die abbauen - wiegt ja auch einige Kilo.. 🤷🏻♂
Da der Motor vorne ist, bringt das Gewicht nicht noch etwas Adhäsion auf die Hinterachse ?
Mein 1,8 DS Motor mit brutalen 90 PS hat bei 150 tkm das 4+E Getriebe gemeuchelt. Dann kam ein gebrauchtes rein und weiter gjngs. Hab ihn sogar noch auf 3 Wege Kat mit elektronischer Vergaserregelung umgebaut. Mechanisch ein gutes Auto, aber innen eine elende Klapperkiste.
Motor schon Karosserie nein
Mein Vater hatte ihn neu gekauft und sofort Unterbodenschutz behandeln lassen. Das war damals noch wie so ein Bitumenzeug, wurde steinhart das Zeug. Nicht wie heute der Müll mit blauem Engelchen. Aber stimmt schon, die Radläufe hinten waren später ne Katastrophe! Hätte man machen können, aber die Kiste wurde mir nachher auch zu teuer. Nur U-Kat gehabt und auch etwas durstig LOL.

Passat verbläst mit einer konstant super Leistung alles. Kompliment an den Fahrer. Deine Starts sind extrem gut, super schnelle Reaktion bei grün. 🚦🚦

Mas em 1985 foi lançada a Quantum, que é igual a essa perua. Junto foi lançado o sedan dessa perua, que era o Santana.

I owned a beautiful GL5 Passat, estate. It was pretty quick, but never as quick as that one.Brought back lots of great memories. 😊
As a Porsche driver losing from an old Passat sounds embarrassing and winning from one is not what you want to boast about in the pub is it but once again thanks for the great show.

Ich weiß nicht mal, ob es so an dem Porsche liegt - ich hab mit einem 75 PS Audi 100 LS angefangen - heute fahre ich 273 TDI PS - die zwar schneller beschleunigen - aber ich meine einfach, dass ich früher mit dem 75 PS Audi mit glaub 700 - 900 kg einfach im Endeffekt schneller war. Klar nicht auf der Autobahn, aber so auf den kurvigen Landstraßen usw. - kann man vom Verkehr zwar nicht mehr vergleichen, aber das scheiß Gewicht der neueren Autos ist und bleibt trotz moderner Fahrwerke und Monsterreifen einfach ein Problem.
Einfach nur geil das Ding.

I had a Passat like that in the early 80s, my first car, donated by dad. I don't think it offered the same HP! Did 115k miles, then the gearbox jammed up whilst I was doing a 3 point turn on a road in Newbury. Blocked the traffic for an hour until the AA (and my dad) arrived. So embarrassing! She was taken away for scrap. I designed and fitted a digital dash too with an electronic volt meter. Next was an Audi Coupe GT. Anyway, this is fun, great to see what can be done to an old car.
