I get that you wanna keep the front camera clean of bugs and debris. The problem I had when I put the camera behind the windshield on my XR was the windshield would collect all the bugs and block the camera. The windshield is a much larger target. I ended up putting my Camera under the front beak on my 1300. I went with the CHIGEE dash cam/Apple CarPlay unit. It came with a lot of extra wires so I ended up removing the tank and the airbox to let all the coiled up wires live below out of sight. Other goodies include the easy can which is a godsend for switching on accessories, with Clearwater lights and a Denali sound bomb It came out fantastic Thanks to guys like you posting these how to videos. You could never have too many videos online on how to take this motorcycle apart. Thanks again…

Hi thanks for asking, generally it is still very good as the headlight assists the camera, since fitting to the 1300 i have only recently had chance to test this as I don’t often ride in the nighttime in summer, I will try and capture some footage and post it on the channel as an update video 👍🏻
