I just got done taking down my pool less than 3 minutes ago I followed your directions it was the easiest thing to do thank you very much. (For the past 10 years I have been fighting with the takedown process) awesome awesome awesome video thank you buddy
Thank you so much for this video. I have a 18 x 48 inch pool I brought due to COVID 19 for myself and and granddaughter. It has been a great pool so far. Your video made it clear on what I need to do and how to store it. Thank you again for such a great video,
Thanks for the tips. I’m going to add powder to every fold, it may not need it but it will keep my wife off my back. She had one years ago and didn’t use powder and she couldn’t use it again.
Just finished draining mine, the built in drain took about 36 hours (15 x 48" pool) then used a garden hose and siphoned off the last 2-3 inches which took another 4-5 hours, was a bit more time and work than I assumed but then I was like, how do I fold this thing? Luckily I found this video which helped, I would have done it backwards so thanks for showing the way! It's now ready for winter
I LEARNED MY LESSON WHEN DRAINING MY POOL. I NOW USE A SUMP PUMP WITH A 100 FT HOSE (4 COUPLED 11/4" CORRUGATED PLASTIC HOSES WITH 11/4" SMALL CUT COPPER TUBING NIPPLES, THEY FIT PERFECTLY) AND DRAIN THE WATER AWAY FROM YOUR HOUSE AT A DISTANCE. FOR YEARS PRIOR I WOULD LET IT DRAIN IN THE BACKYARD GROUND WHERE THE POOL WAS 15 FT AWAY FROM THE HOUSE. AND OVER THE YEARS I STARTED TO NOTICE A LOT OF DAMPNESS IN THE BASEMENT COMING THROUGH THE CORNERS OF THE FOUNDATION. SO I GOT WISE TO WHAT WAS GOING ON WHERE I WAS SATURATING THE SOIL AROUND THE HOUSE DRAINING MY BIG ROUND 18 FT POOL. SO I RESORTED NOW TO USE A SUMP PUMP WITH A 100-FT HOSE AND TAKE IT TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE TO THE STREET AND LET IT DRAIN INTO THE STREET SEWER MAINS.
Thanks a real help. Managed to get the pool rolled up and into a IKEA DIMPA bag which has handles so easy to store. Still worries me about the wrinkles I left in it but I guess that can't be helped. Didn't use the talc as none to hand 🙏
Omg you rolled yours so neat and perfect! I took mine down a few weeks ago, as I was afraid it would get too cold. Mine is folded so poorly. Now I know how to do it next year! Thank you! I learn a lot from your videos! I bought the filter and chlorine you suggested for next year, so I’m hoping maintenance is easier next year. No more crummy tiny Intex filter that barely works.
Thank you so much! We bought a 15x33 Intex pool for the grandchildrsn this year. I have had anxiety about the take down! Thank you SO much for relieving many if my fears. Soooooo...... guess what I'm doing next weekend? I just hope and pray that my Wisconsin weather complies with my plans! One question I do have though
How dry is it when you fold it up? Is there any moisture? I see you used towels but seems like that would still leave some. Moisture. Just curious if having some moisture will cause mildew or anything.
After closing/draining the pool, does the pool get softer and easier to fold up to store for the winter if we flip it over and let it dry out naturally in the warm summer air for a few days?
Would have been nice to see the full folding process, my pool is 14ft and getting it laid out the way its shown at the beginning of this video was frustrating and eventually I just did my best, rolled it up and stuffed it in a box
You got yours back into the box??? A box? Of any kind that's not for wardrobes? Because I have to return one that leaked and it's currently double bagged in lawn trashbags because they insisted I return it within a week. It had rained every other day and it's not even had time to dry. I'm not even sure ups will take it... Edited to add: One bag on top, one bag in bottom.
How do you keep your ring from getting all cracked? We used the baby powder and stored in a heated garage that we keep at 45/50 and year 3 our ring is cracked in multiple places
Using baby/talcum powder has always worked for us. Maybe it wasn't completely dry? At 45/50 degrees it shouldn't have cracked in my opinion. Sorry to hear that!
I have a smaller house so I don't have a whole lot of places to store one of these. Would it be ok to store it in our attic? (It is an unfinished attic with a pull down door in our ceiling)
I think that would be fine. Be sure to thoroughly dry out the pool. I would suggest using talcum or baby powder on it - you can put it on the outside of the pool. It will keep it soft and prevent cracks. AND - store the pool in a big tarp or plastic so that it's completely protected.
@@intexeasysetpools Thanks! I didn't know if it would get too cold for it or not. I live in NC and while it does get pretty cold at times, our winters tend to be on the mild side
I am now folding up a BestWay Fast Set 10 pool, which is very similar to the Intex Easy Set. Does it have to fold exactly how you found it when you took it out of the box? Can it ever fold back into the box it came from when you bought it?
Darn! I wasn't finished before it posted. Anyway, my question, just curious. What do you do with the round spaceship landing pad left in your yard by the pool? I'm kind of considering and small ice skating rink as the kids are small, but I'd love to hear what people do. Again, thank you!
what is the reason for the powder, stored my pool last year in an unheated garage and it was fine this year. We just have no space to store in the house.
HI Pat, I'll be honest it can be tricky. I probably fold it slightly different each time I take it down. If you get the air out and thoroughly dry it you should be good.
I don't know what sort of witchcraft you use but there's no way you can make a pool look back neat when you fold it up. Maybe my pool's much smaller so it doesn't work as well
You can use the two clear/white pump tubes to drain it faster we did that so you have x 3 drainage. However with time as the water drains they wont drain anymore once the water goes below them.

Less than a hour fold up time 🤣🤣😅😅🤣🤣 I'm very 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 happy

Great video, concise and to the point. I'll be taking mine down soon and will probably watch this one more time. Thanks!
Just used this tutorial to store our 8' x 30" Intex pool. Worked like a charm.
Great video.
Thank you.
Many thanks for the clues, looks simple when explained though before couldn’t quite figure it out.
i just realized what was that white piece for, is for the draining, manual never says about it, thanks for the video...
Thank you for the tips! This is the first year I've stored a pool and I couldn't figure out how to fold it.

Dad strength helps…need the kids to help too!! Lol
Where did you get that attachment from that connects to your water hose? My pool didn’t come with it.
I got one with my pool. I almost threw it out because it seemed like an “extra” unnecessary piece but luckily I didn’t…
EXTREMELY helpful 💗! Thank you 🙂
You're so welcome!
Very helpful!! Thank you so much !!
Glad it was helpful!
How dry is it when you fold it up? Is there any moisture? I see you used towels but seems like that would still leave some. Moisture. Just curious if having some moisture will cause mildew or anything.
We dry ours with towels and then sprinkle a little baby or talcum powder... not too much or you'll have a mess next year.
Thank you so much, just stored away the pool we used this summer with confidence knowing we can use it next year. Thank you so much for the tips!!!!
Thanks. Looks pretty easy, good advice. 👍🏻
After closing/draining the pool, does the pool get softer and easier to fold up to store for the winter if we flip it over and let it dry out naturally in the warm summer air for a few days?
The warmer the better. Keep it dry and out of the freezing cold.
If we live somewhere that doesn’t freeze, can we just leave it up? This seems so hard.
About to take ours down for first time. Thanks so much for video. It’s very helpful! Until next spring.....
So when it is upside down the sides should be underneath when I fold it?
Bought a pool drain plug thingy on anazon and didn't fit my summer waves pool hole
In our instructions it advises sprinkling talcum powder on it when it's dry and being folded haha you just mentioned it
I'm surprised they included that but great! :)
Thanks man👍
Hello what size tarp do you wrap your pool up into I have a summer wave pool 15 x 36? Thank

@@franny5295 lol, the box was a larger box made for a small garage heater that happened to flex enough to stuff it in. Warm weather is key ,I think...
Thanks for the video, super helpful...I'll do the same
Thank you!
I have a 18ft round and I cant get it flat enough to fold
How do you keep your ring from getting all cracked? We used the baby powder and stored in a heated garage that we keep at 45/50 and year 3 our ring is cracked in multiple places

How did you get all of the air out of the "ring"?
Use an air mattress pump and suck it out
I just continue to push on it and lay on it.
Thank you so much
How did you keep your grass from dieing underneath it all summer when it was set up?!!!
I’d like to know more about the powder
I just use baby powder or talcum powder.. not a lot
I have a smaller house so I don't have a whole lot of places to store one of these. Would it be ok to store it in our attic? (It is an unfinished attic with a pull down door in our ceiling)

@@shinyowlshop6662 I think you'll be fine then! Just protect it with a tarp so that it's not exposed. Good luck!

What is that white attachment you used for the hose?
That came with the pool but you can buy them here: amzn.to/2LDoU8V
@@intexeasysetpools that attachment is close to 70.00 on Amazon Canada. Guess I will do with out
Iam going try this now thanks for the tip
Thank you
Mine is a total mess. Maybe next year I'll do better.

apologies for typos!
Fire pit ring
Sorry I got no notifications that I had questions... I replant grass... and then put up the ice rink on top!
Did you have problems keeping the ring inflated with air? We let our pool go two days without adding air and woke up to water flowing out of the pool.
Oh My, Yes, you need that top ring inflated. Sounds like you have a small leak in the ring.
Do u need talcum powder if its going to stored in a shed?
A shed is not heated so it will crack from the cold.
I wouldn't store it in a shed withOUT putting talcum powder on it. That will keep it soft and dry so that it doesn't freeze and crack.
Only if it's stored improperly. Make sure it's dry and has powder and you should be good.
My dude doesn’t show you how to do anything. He just talks about it. Great job buddy.
Instead of rolling in a tarp, I put mine in a trash can with a locking lid, leave it outside, this is my fifth season,
what is the reason for the powder, stored my pool last year in an unheated garage and it was fine this year. We just have no space to store in the house.
That keeps the pool soft so that it won't crack from freezing.
it would have been nice if you show more on the folding, like folding the sides in, next thing it's half-folded. maybe next time.
HI Pat, I'll be honest it can be tricky. I probably fold it slightly different each time I take it down. If you get the air out and thoroughly dry it you should be good.
I need to buy the part that you need to drain the pool with could u please help me know where to buy it
Amazon has em - amzn.to/2WGH6FL

Where can I buy that adapter you used to drain it?
amzn.to/3eglxRk - but you may find it cheaper
What size is your pool?
It's 18' by 48". Intex EasySet Pool - 18 x 48 - (amzn.to/2uvXarQ)
