it is awesome that you've been able to maintain the pool all these years! I recently bought the intex 12x30 metal frame pool and I'm really nervous. I've had it up about a month and so far so good! I use the chlorine tabs as well, but saw a video that showed someone adding the baking soda pool tablets with the chlorine tabs. I have to say that it is working well!! the baking soda helps to keep the levels within range. you might want to try those as well! I was worried about taking it down at the end of the summer and the condition it will be in for next year, but you've given me hope! thank you for your videos! I've subbed so that I can keep up with you! :)
We had one of these pool"s when my kids were young. We took it down the first year. Then after that we kept it up. Just disconnected the pump.. We closed the pool with pool Chems covered it and it was fine.. I live in pa with plenty of freezing cold weather, It lasted 7 years . I am sure it would have lasted another 2 years.. The only reason why we took it down is because we got an ingrown pool..
Which do you prefer if any putting up the pool or taking it down, and which is easier lol,at least you have help,as I have to do mine alone lol but I don't mind as I enjoy my pool, and of course i always end up getting wet rather I'm putting it up or taking it down lol😆 ty for sharing this 👍...
It was my first time buying one of those pools, I made the mistake of not getting in and work the wrinkles out while filling it up what can I do? Can I still get in and work them out after it's more then half full
It absorbs moisture and will keep the pool from getting hard and cracking in the cold... like where the might be a crease. If you store it inside the house you should be good with just a little. If you use too much you'll have a mess to clean up next year. Use it on the outside.
I'm curious as to using a water truck vs. hose...how much does it cost? Is there any difference to just wait and fill it with hose? (ie. quality of water, etc.)
Good for you. I'm so disappointed i just bought one and found out my yard is not level. I can't get more that a foot of water in it before it dumps out the low end. Maybe I can sell it. It's not like I got to use it.
@Leonard jeremy Most people find that trying to "build up" the low side ends up being unsatisfactory because once the pool is filled, the extreme weight of the water compacts the "freshly added" dirt or sand, and then the pool is again not level. If it worked for you, great! But in general, you're going to have better results by digging down the higher part. Especially if it is on a grade!! (as opposed to just a bumpy spot.)
Did your pool come with those 1 1/2" sized fitting holes or did you make them bigger to accommodate your 1 1/2" hoses? Don't the easy ups usually come with the smaller 1 1/4" fittings and hoses?
"basically" yes... they just pump and filter the water but it depends on the total gallons you have in the pool. If you're wondering if they'll just hook up universally then I can't answer that one. You'll need to do a little research on the size of the attachments. Sorry.
Are you using an extension cord to run your pump? We are considering buying one of these pools but for the pump to reach the outlet it would be extremely close to our home
hi, if I have a space that has a shape similar to a swimming pool, 5m x 2m with a depth of 1.2m. which product is suitable? can intex easy set be flexible and adjust the shape to square?
Angga Rionardo from my experience with 2 types of intex pools (metal framed and easy set) no you can not make a square However you can buy a square shaped pool, maybe price-ier but no you can not make the easy set into a square, sorry.
OMG so I have the exact same pool but the thing is I didn’t buy it my aunt gave it to me for free she used it for one week but she gave it to me for free because she got another one just a biger one so she gave it to me for free but the thing is is that she only gave me the pool and she says nothing came with it but I’ve been saying all this video And supposedly it comes with some tubes and then you have to get the filter but she didn’t give me any tubes or anything so do you think I can use this pool without the filter because I don’t even have the filter or anything I don’t even have the plastic pieces that go in the holes for that thing so do you think I can use it without it thank you great video by the way Edit ( no i Literally only have the pool I don’t have any of the strainer or any of that only the pool and the little machine to inflate the ring around the top but a part of that I don’t have anything a part of the pool so do you think I can still use it)?
Sorry for the delay... if you have the holes in the side of the pool then you'll need some parts before you should use it. Do you know the size? If it's not too big then you may be able to get away without a pump but it doesn't sound like it unfortunately.
Dear Lawwwd I just got a 8ft 30 inch Intex Pool! I hope it lasts as long!!
I got the same this summer! It was great. Storing it away for the winter now. I'm being very careful so I can get a number of years out of it.
Wow! 5th year! Congrats! That’s a nice pool!

You must be a strong! :) It's much easier with 2 people. Glad I could help with the videos!

June 2020 - This was perfect. Why do you store with talcum powder?
It absorbs moisture and will keep the pool from getting hard and cracking in the cold... like where the might be a crease. If you store it inside the house you should be good with just a little. If you use too much you'll have a mess to clean up next year. Use it on the outside.

I'm sure you could sell it quick. They're hard to get right now.
Never pack dirt or sand to "bring up" the low side. Dig out the high side to make your spot level, and you'll be good to go.
I could not have done this without you!! Thank you!
How much does 4000 gallons of water cost to be delivered? I almost did that but instead did a trickle fill from my well. Took 4 days, lol!
Not sure how I missed this question. It cost me $140 for about 5000 gallons in 2020.
We didn’t make sure there are no wrinkles as we were fill it up. Is there a way to get rid of the wrinkles once the pool is filled?
Did your pool come with those 1 1/2" sized fitting holes or did you make them bigger to accommodate your 1 1/2" hoses? Don't the easy ups usually come with the smaller 1 1/4" fittings and hoses?
the 18 ft has 1 1/2" hoses.
Did you level out the ground again? Or just put the tarp over ig
Can you use that same pump on a 12x30? Are the pumps basically universal?
"basically" yes... they just pump and filter the water but it depends on the total gallons you have in the pool. If you're wondering if they'll just hook up universally then I can't answer that one. You'll need to do a little research on the size of the attachments. Sorry.
