Wait but do you have to constantly feed the centipede with food or will it forever feed on the spring tails as they breed with each other? Wait but the centipede will also eventually die of old age

It should be self sustaining until the centipede dies. Springtails multiply like crazy!
Would have been good to throw some leaf litter in there with the springtails so they have some better food to get them started with which would help them breed quicker but they’ll probably be ok

When you do a terrarium with insects do you need to have holes in the lid for ventilation or will the plants provide oxygen for them?

It would be like sending you into a Walmart, and having you chase your food. You can eat as much as you want or can, but the food will multiply 10x-100x for each one you eat.
If you can outeat that scenario, you are beyond an apex predators limits, that is forsure!
