Loved her since I first saw her as a child having migrated from Colombia in 1969 at age 12. And now, in 2023 at 66 yrs old, I find this. What a jewel and emotional video...

My sister and her friend and I went to Jamestown just before Lovely Lucy Statue was created and Lucy's childhood home was renovated; at that time the owner didn't want any fans on the property and I thought how can anyone not appreciate living in a house where the wonderful Lucy lived in; so very happy the new owners are such a passionate Lucy fan!
I’ve been to a few famous houses where the owners don’t want fans coming there.. I mean if you buy the Goonies house you’d have to know there’s a good chance fans are gonna stop by to see it daily lol.. But yes Mary is fantastic and she gives back so much to the area.. I grew up in nearby Bradford, PA and I am intimately familiar with those old houses that were built in the early 1900s. They were unbelievably cold during the Winter months. One morning I woke up to see frost covering my upstairs bedroom wall. Those old red bricks on the roadway are most likely from Hanley Bricks of Bradford, PA.
I sure do love the look of those neighborhoods even though the functionality might not be perfect.. Reminds me of simpler times.. Thanks for watching and sharing your story :)

Ahhh, memories…. The house on the corner behind Celeron school was owned by my Grandmother and where my mother spent her teenage years. I would occasionally spend the night at Grandmas…. Her sister, my great aunt, was Bernice Faulkener, who lived in Lucy’s childhood home. Lloyd was my mother’s cousin. I’ve been in the house several times. 12:39- I wonder if those vintage light fixtures might have been originally for gas lighting then got adapted to electric light bulbs? I know gas lighting was likely gone by the time Lucy herself was born but it had been popular for the last few decades of the late 19th century in many urban homes (and was more convenient than oil lamps or candles) -and this home appeared to have been originally built then!
