I took this same cruise several years ago, on the Radiance. We went closer, into the ice field, and were able to watch the glacier calving…dropping huge chunks into the sea. The glacier has been receding very fast due to global warming…the ice flow used to go far out past the bay opening. I’m wondering how much longer these excursions will continue. Glad you could see it…it’s breathtaking.

I know your on a Hawaii cruise right now and may be difficult to upload so I ain't mad at ya but these Withdrawals are getting bad lol. I've had to watch all your old vlogs AGIAN (they are as good as the first time I watched) just to fill in the gap days. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives ❤️!
We are going to Alaska this summer!!! Here in Newfoundland 🇨🇦 we call the small pieces of icebergs “burgie bits.” Also there is beer made of iceberg water called Iceburg Beer!

On our trip in 2015, we never saw the glacier. During the night we had a terrible storm. The ship tipped on her side and all the cabinets opened. Another one of our group fell out of bed. The Captain had to sail south and closer to shore. It was real scary! The plates in the Windgammer were held in place by plastic. Thank goodness for the Captain and his staff!♥️

It was explained it to us that you actually sometimes get a bonus above and beyond your offer if you book with the next cruise desk, and I guess you have to at least visit them and set up a future open booking before leaving the ship somehow. I’m just glad that we had an extra week onboard so that we could book and claim our bonus.

Don’t know about Royal but this is what happened to us on Carnival. We booked our cruise not knowing that most of the people on board were there on a free cruise because of their gambling. The food was not up to par for Carnival standards. The guests and the staff were just fantastic. Just giving you a heads up.

Thankee! Editing software, I never recommend what I actually use, but I'd say check out the free full-featured version of Davinci Resolve if you need something semi-fancy. Otherwise, free Windows Movie Maker or iMovie will probably do. Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro are also valid non-free contenders.

We've never sailed Alaska in August, but we've heard temperatures can be all over the place! Bring layers, bring shorts, be prepared for all kinds of weather, ha ha!! :P

We have two past videos at Icy Strait and one upcoming, yep! We do the same thing each time we go, which is whale watch, ha ha… can’t say that we’ve looked much into any other excursions!! :P
I watch many of your videos for RC. Just booked this exact cruise back to back for my wife and I in 2024 in September. I have been on several RC cruises and I am curious if the casino points carry over from ship to ship? Or just what you earn on that specific cruise?
Yes, your points status tends to carry over for about a year, depending on how their calendars run for the casino. They might reset your actual points each cruise on some lines, but they should be accumulating in the background towards your overall casino loyalty level.
No need to pack if you have the same room, but you typically do have to get off and revised as a group with the other back to back folks. The process varies by cruise line though, and we were getting off the ship for a tour in Seward anyway.

We went to Glacier Bay in May a few years back and were able to sit on the balcony in just a tshirt!

In September all that floating slush is not there, we got way closer. Ice has had all summer to melt.

So you were in the same room and didn't have to pack and re-board?
No need to pack if you have the same room, but you typically do have to get off and revised as a group with the other back to back folks. The process varies by cruise line though, and we were getting off the ship for a tour in Seward anyway.

Not for the second leg. It doesn’t matter what time slot you get, and we normally pick a late slot just so we don’t jam anyone else up.
