I love the idea that his vision is the most interesting and that the writers are revving up to do a massive kai focused story that will round out the series. Bringing it back to where it all started
Ninjago seriously needs to go back to where they started out. These newer seasons are horrible.

@@Nat-th8pb That's good. I'm glad fans are enjoying the newer hights that Ninjago is taking. But yes, my opinion is loving the older seasons.
It's important to keep in mind that we know the purpose of that cave. As Egalt specifically calls it "the Test of Fears" None of them saw a vision of the future, these visions are based only on what each of these characters know, what their current goals are, and thus what they fear the most.
Wyldfyre feared her remaining "family" suffering from the Wasting disease as she had already experienced years ago.
Arin feels a responsibility to find his parents and fears an inability to do so.
Lloyd desperately desires to be a good master, to live up to Wu's legacy, and to lead his students to vicory over the current "big bad". But he's feeling overwhelmed, fears he will let Wu down, and Ras will succeed.
Sora... well, her's is a little more abstract but I think the meaning of her vision could be that she fears being trapped in/by Imperium again. Being just a cog in a machine to Beatrix/her regime. Precisely what she ran away from.
Nya misses Jay and fears that he will forget her. That they won't have a happy reunion when he's finally found. (Maybe this is brought on by her knowing the last time they were separated, she did forget him and can't imagine a similar thing happening on his end.)
Now listen, just because this is, in essence, true doesn't make it a future vision. Again, Nya is operating only on what she knows. She knows Jay is missing, and her fear is him forgetting her. He wasn't a part of the administration or her enemy in that vision. He just didn't remember and treated her as a stranger.
Finally, this leaves us with Kai. With the understanding that he is not seeing the future and him having no idea about the sacrifices required to bring the forbidden five back or the netherspace, I do not believe, he saw his outcome in the finale.
I think Kai's worst fear is the inability to save his loved ones. Whether too weak (losing powers), too late, or too in his own head to do what is needed. He fears being unable to save and protect those he cares about. So my theory is that he saw a vision where he had the opportunity but was unable to save (most likely) Nya.
There is an interesting moment right after the visions that, I think gets overlooked; Kai jumping off the cliff. Most see this as a comedic moment, which it is. But what if it's also a clue of what Kai saw in his vision. Kai is initially hesitant to jump, asking Lloyd if he's sure. Nya then expresses trust in Lloyd and a willingness to jump. At which point Kai beats her to it. He put himself in danger to ensure the safety of his sister (and everyone else).
Yes, that's exactly what I say, the visions show your fears, not the future.

@@karmaasm5320Thank you. I was seeing some confusion about that. Probably because they're getting mixed up with Lloyd's visions which do have predictive power. So I wanted to try and provide some clarity.
I'm hoping we get to see Kai's vision in part 2. I think it'd be neat as a cold open to one of the episodes.

Wow yes, that’s amazing, I also think that, Kai’s greatest fear is to be Incapable and weak Just like we saw in other seasons, or also the fact of being replaced.
We've seen kai have multiple fears like: aquaphobia, losing/failing, and overall not being able to protect the people who he cares deeply about (lloyd, nya, and wyldfire). So im excited to see them do a reveal because its probably one of those fears
My theory is that Kai saw himself letting his team down. We know Kai definitely has issues with loss and is fiercely over protective of his team. It would make sense that he saw them dying or something and he was powerless to stop it. That's why he unlocked rising dragon first; cause he felt like he needed to get this right if he is to protect his family.
This is what I believe too except I don't see that as why he unlocked Rising Dragon, at least not the first time. Instead, that fear and pressure was the last thing holding him back. Just like Nya claimed

Probably not. I see no indication that this is where the season is headed. If anything, maybe finding Pixal will be teased in the finale.

I'd expect Jay to get his memory back or at least be back on the Ninja's side before the end of the season. But I really have no idea.
No clue. It's possible but again, the season so far hasn't given us any reason to think this will happen. Though, I don't see the show ignoring Garmodon forever.
I think he saw himself not to be able to protect the ones he loves, as Kai has always been the Protector, first Nya, then Lloyd, now Wyldfyre
I think Kai saw Nya being without him after he gets trapped in Nether Space and when she sees Kai in his vision, she starts getting mad at him and asks him these questions...
"Are you coming back to me?"
"Why are you taking so long?"
"Don't you love me enough to come back?"
"I'm your sister Kai or maybe I'm better off without you"

It would make sense if Kai's vision was related to Nya. I saw some comments talking about his vision showing Nya being kidnapped, killed, or merged with the ocean again
It would make a lot of sense especially considering that the reason he became a ninja was because Nya was kidnapped and he wanted to be able to save and take care of his sister
Someone also said it could be him seeing himself being corrupted by the staff of elements.
I think that these fears are slightly different from what the mirror from season 11 would show so I'm with the majority on him seeing something happening to Nya, but I think him being taken over by the staff is what he would have seen in the mirror.
i think he saw himself in s4 when he got the staff of elements but instead of breaking it, he got corrupted and killed everyone

I think that he was afraid of loosing Nya, because I also saw how he looked at her after that.
And also we know that he is traumatised, because of the moment, where Nya merged to the sea. We can see it when he talks to Wildfire in season 1.
And in the scene when Nya mentioned the game, which they played when they were a kid, he commented that as the better times (I can't say exactly words, because I didn't watch that in English).
He unlocked his power just because his sister was with him.
And later, in the episode 9, he started using this dragon form when Nya was in danger.

When he first walked out from that vision cave place, I really thought he saw something that he genuinely couldn’t tell his friends. But I’m also a cave stan and will think that he’ll be important one day.

I think Kai's fear is that he doesn't want harm to come to anyone, so perhaps he say Nya and Jay talking, and Jay saying he doesn't know who she is. That could be why Kai looks at Nya, he can't tell her, because she wouldn't believe him, so Kai knows that his worst fear is imminent, and there is nothing he can do.
I think Kai saw himself at the end of DR S1 PT1 fighting lord ras and witness Nya get thrown into Netherspace instead of him. This is why we see his say to Bonzel to close the gate instead of leaving it open as he wants to prevent Nya from being sacrificed into the portal.

Maybe he saw a vision of evil jay so he looks at Nya because she will be heart broken because jay is turning evil and because he is the love of her life and doesn’t remember her
Maybe it was him loosing everyone because of how he's seemed to neglect his training over the years or at least in comparison to how he originally trained constantly, which is why he made the most progress with the rising dragon initially because he felt the need to get strong enough he needed the push to get his seriousness back, but at the same time that is where his focus on himself came in as he felt HE needed to do this HE mattered his obsession with becoming the best again blinding him to the strength around him to help. The sadness could also come in from a reminder of the times he wasn't strong enough, when he couldn't save Lloyd from Morro, when he wasn't strong enough to stop Acronix and Krux when they lost Wu, when he couldn't do anything during his sisters sacrifice, sure he'd gotten stronger that much I won't deny but what he'd truly lost was his drive
maybe he saw skylor and that she says, that he hasn't searched for her, because she thinks, that for him, nya is more imprtant or just somthing with skylor/an tournament in generall, looking forward to part 2 and in parallel to season 4

I definitely agree with Kai’s vision him being trapped in nether space considering Nya saw a vision of Jay forgetting her even if she thought it wasn’t real the only thing hard to say if real or not are Lloyd and Arin’s vision
In the cave, Arin sees his parents, and they accuse him of abandoning them. Sora sees an image of Beatrix and Ras, who seem to drag her into the screen. Lloyd sees Wu and Ras, both of whom tell him that he will never be a good enough teacher, which is a concern he had in S1 and could still have. Nya sees Jay, who doesn't seem to remember her, and it foreshadows Bonzle's encounter in S2E10.
Going all the way back to Rise of the Serpentine and Tournament of Elements: The Forgotten Element, Kai expressed anger that he hadn't been the one to become the Green Ninja. His vision could have been of Lloyd without his elemental powers.
Yeah I could see Kai seeing something happening to Nya or to him and doesn't want to see his sister's face because what he saw he knows will hurt her and everyone. I would think it would be cool, if Kai DID see himself getting trapped with the Forbidden Five, giving him more of a vision than a nightmare. Would be just another step in the right direction for our beloved fire boy.
Kai maybe see the Evil Jay and he don't want tell this in Nya or Kai see a futur with the tournament. 😊

The vision showed what each ninja feared as egalt said the test of fears was the cave so it could be things that may happen but it but it doesn't necessarily mean it will nyas fear was just a coincidence which means she'll have to over come it but kais could be something entirely different who knows but i doubt it was a vision of the future

I still find it kind of ironic that Nya was the one who broke free of this vision because she said this could never happen, yet it is the scenario she will probably experience for real.

As per my theory, Kai will be back in S2 part 2.
It's Coz, Ras said that he needs an unshattered soul as a sacrifice. But, his soul was partially shattered when the gong was rang when kai was wearing a wolf mask when they infiltrated the ritual.
I had a thought that maybe Kai's vision was when he saw his parents or even maybe Skylor about something not good. I'm so worried for Kai and about what's going to happen.

Maybe the small sequence with kai completly alone with nobody there, suggesting that he may have abandond them or they abandond him
I think his vision was about Nya because when everybody was talking about their visions and stuff Kai looked at Nya them looked away and he looked relieved. Like he saw something bad happened to her. I remember when he was talking to wildfire and was like “but when I lost my sister to the sea... never mind.” It looked like he was scared of losing her again. Maybe he saw Nya instead of himself get thrown into the portal? I just feel like it had something to do with Nya.

I think it has something to do with him being evil for some reason. I feel like he hurts the people that he loves and being unable to stop himself from doing so, which makes him feel guilty. Perhaps it is Nya, Skylor or his parents or even all three of them. In which case just makes the scene that much sadder.
That could be an interesting call back to season 4 where he he sees himself fully turned evil just like morro
I think he might have had to go through seeing Nya merge with the sea again, watch her leave, and blame him for not being strong enough to save her.

IMO, Kai would've seen himself in the nether space before as of destiny but he tries his best to control it, still ends up in the same result.
