      i agree, Lin is a better playmaker than Lowry and 4-5 inches taller. half the time, i dont think Lowry can even see over the guy guarding him, no court vision.

      Lin not ready.
      Nurse put VanVleet back to rotation too early for the rest of the season.
      Did not leave enough time for Lin to gel into the team. Lin was taken as just a sub in case of injuries.
      haven't seen plays drawn for Lin except for pick n rolls. I like Lowry and Lin on the court at same time.
      what Raptors need now are spot shooters to stretch the floor and speeding up the offense to keep those Bucks big's on the bench. These bucks big men are exhausting Kawhi...

      Mostly Nurse's fault. He played fvv for a whole 10 minutes so he could get 0 stats, and then continued to play him. Also, Powell has shown to be the best bench player behind ibaka in these playoffs, yet he doesn't get enough minutes.

    Danny Green has been absolutely atrocious all playoffs, and Gasol equally as bad so far in this series. Nurse needs to man up and make some major adjustments. Starting Ibaka over Gasol is a given, as well as giving Powell more minutes over Green. Gasol's minutes in general need to be limited this series. His defense was vital in the Sixers series against strong low post threats like Embiid, but against a Bucks team whose bigs are mainly just three point threats, he's getting exposed having to guard at the 3 point line all game. Call me crazy, but i think Chris Boucher would be much more effective this series. He's quicker, longer and might even be able to knock down 3s at a more consistent rate than Gasol

    • @kyleweaver1930
      @kyleweaver1930 5 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Honestly Powell is one of the people on the team playing with urgency and a fire. He isn’t scared to take shots and drive in and he isn’t a bad defender either. I think at this point he needs more minutes and FVV simply shouldn’t be playing at all especially not with Lowry on the court with him. Ibaka needs to start over gasol and they need to try and get him going. Their defense is so eh. It goes from amazing in the Orlando series to decent in philly to good at times in that series to this game 2 atrocity. But honestly give Powell way more minutes. Dude wants to ball and besides Kawhi and Lowry he’s the only one that looks 100% motivated all the time he’s playing.

But like whenever the playoffs come on, he creates a ton of vidoes which is awesome and like super quickly, which like no one else can match. However, the quality of his videos do decline, they're not bad, but not up to his usual standards. He changes his opinions a lot, and the video's in-depth analysis is reduced. Just a thought.

    I have no idea why the Bucks are still doubted. They have dominated ALL YEAR. They basically swept the Celtics who, of course had internal problems, were otherwise a very good team. Giannis is being disgustingly underrated. People don’t realize he averaged more points, rebounds, assists, blocks and had a higher fg% despite playing FOUR FEWER MINUTES in the regular season than he did the year before. People were comparing KD and Kawhi’s scoring averages in the playoffs and saying that’s why they’re so much better than Giannis even though Giannis is playing maybe 33 minutes per game. While Kawhi and KD have been playing about 38-40 minutes per game. Obviously those two are better scorers than him, but he isn’t playing the amount of minutes they are. It just shows that Giannis’ team is so terrific that they don’t have to over work him. People are still saying Giannis hasn’t proved himself. That’s hilarious when you see that his team has only lost 1 of 11 games in THESE playoffs. Now people might say Giannis team is very good without him so that should disqualify him from being the best player in the world. KD’s team absolutely does not need him to win the championship, they just need him to be unbeatable. I’m pretty sure the Raptors could have beaten the Magic without Kawhi in 6 or 7. If Giannis got injured the Bucks probably would’ve lost to the Pistons in 6 or 7. I’m not saying he is for sure the best player at the moment, but I wouldn’t disagree if you said he was.

    I was thinking why not play Jeremy Lin and Powell more? Both have the ability to drive in and attack or dish it out to the open man; especially in small ball lineups where the Raptors push the pace if they play a faster pace allowing for more open shots from distance. Also Nurse should opt for more small ball lineups with Lowry, Van Fleet/Lin, Powell/Leonard, Leonard/Siakam and Siakam/Ibaka to really space the floor and punish the bigger less mobile shooting big men of Milwaukee ( Lopez, Ersan Illyasova, and Mirotic); forcing Hill, Brogdon, Snell and Bledsoe ( daring him to shoot wide open) into different lineups. Otherwise this series will be over quickly because the Bucks really haven't changed their lineups since the beginning of the playoffs and that needs to change to get them out of their comfort zone (at least for the role players who are primarily shooters hoping that will cause more misses). I am seriously questioning Nick Nurse's ability to coach outside of getting Leonard the ball and telling everyone else to get the F*ck out the way ( Doug Collins reference). The Warriors sure as hell will exploit these big men in space so if I'm the Raptors the least I could do is try that as well before the series is over.

    I had picked the Raptors going all the way this year when playoff first started. During the regular season, Siakam was killing it, scoring from all angles. I have no doubt he will win the most improved player award. Lowry was, well, regular season Lowry, an able point guard. Green was shooting threes at his normal rate. Ibaka was deadly on his mid range jumpers. Gasol was not impressive but adequate. VanVleet was like Brogdon, though not as fast to the basket, but a confident shooter and ran the second unit really well. Kawhi was never in full throttle during regular season but he didn't have to. I really feel that this year Raptors had turned the corner with the addition of Kawhi, and later with Gasol. Then playoffs started, and Kawhi was the only one showed up. Lowry became playoff Lowry most of the time, with occasional sparks. Siakam didn't look like the most improved player. Green was no where to be seen. Gasol looked way passed his prime. VanVleet wasn't shooting with confidence. Besides Kawhi, all other Raptors players just not feeling it most of the time, often passing up open shots without even looking at the basket. Even when they did shoot, you could tell the shooting motion was off, indication of a reluctant shooter. Opponents just picked up of that, daring them to shoot, and crowded Kawhi with two to three players all the time. Granted Bucks are loaded with great players themselves, but if all Raptors play up to their potential, there is a great chance we will be looking at another seven game series. However, at this moment, the more likely scenario is another disappointed year for Raptors fans, with Kawhi returning for another season hanging in the balance.

    Kawhi and Lowry are the only 2 that show up so far in the series. Powell earned more minutes and possibly take Danny's spot in the lineup, Gasol needs to come off the bench so Ibaka can keep pressure on Giannis and keep a fast pace with the team. Raps speed beats Bucks length. Rebounding is the most important, nobody is going for the rebounds and its killed them in game 2 every missed shot Raps took the bucks snatched it away and score a 3 or drive to the paint and most likely get and 1. Raps can tie the series only if Nurse makes adjustments, and get Kawhi rest when they have the lead in 10+ score. VS 76ers Kawhi played not enough minutes and now VS bucks he's playing too many minutes. Nurse needs to find the sweet spot and trust the bench more. Hopefully OG will be back for game 3 because his length and defense is very crucial for the Raps.

    Not bieng biased, but if Raptors is looking for a miracle, it could still happen. It has happened to the Knicks in 2012-13 season breaking a losing streak with an unknown D-league player JLin and of course the Hornets who played in the play offs against Heat. The reason i mentioned that is because, from what I've seen on this video, the Raptors offense would have been more effective with JLin as the play maker. And i stress, i'm not saying they could win but their offense would have been more effective. Lin has better court vision, better bball IQ and has more guts than Lowry. Bottom line is that Lin has more experience playnng in this sort intensity.

      this is correct. he plays like a ballhog now it is hard to watch. he has never been particularly good at breaking down double team and finding open teammates but with this 'system' he simply has to shoot it every time he is in iso. close to zero ball movement and completely lack of chemistry. i laugh so hard when people start comparing him to jordan. the one thing i really admire about leonard's game--his shot selection has also been gone. and you can tell he suffers big time trying to get open with his predictable dribbles and footwork, along with his slow foot speed. leonard isnt fast and smart enough to evade traps to be honest, even the poor-man jordan named kobe was better at that.

      What are the both of you talking about? Gasol, Green and Lowry have become dependent on Kawhi and constantly feed him the ball and overlook open shots themselves. Gasol has been doing this the most. Just look at everyone field goal percentages, it's absolutely abysmal. His teammates are shitting the bed and if I was Kawhi i wouldn't even pass them the ball at this point. The coach is also a moron and can't make simple adjustments, and he constantly puts VanVleet on the court despite him being a massive liability. Also the coach puts 3 small guards (Powell, Lowry and VanVleet) at the same time despite the Raptors having rebound issues as well.

Nick Nurse still hasn't made any major adjustments and because of that Toronto is fucked

    @vctibus 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Credit should be given to Coach Bud. His rotations are on point and he has mismatches all over the court. Plus he has a more dependable and productive bench who know their roles. Their defense is disrupting the Raptors offense and only Kawhi is consistently scoring. This is what Bud has envisioned where all 5 players can hit the 3 to which Pop was reluctant to use when he was on the Spurs. His Hawks team had the same blueprint but this time he has Giannis as his superstar. Ironic that his Hawks were dismantled by LeBron but now he has the Hawks gameplan and the LeBron in Giannis in the same team! Let us see how they perform in Toronto as playoff experience is their weakest link.

    There's no reason for the Bucks to bother changing their zone drop defense against the Raptors as long as Ibaka/Gasol are out there and Siakam's not shooting with confidence. Against the Warriors I'd expect them to switch more often like they did against the Celtics after Game 1. I'd expect them to switch 1-4 and zone drop of Looney/Bogut when they're out there and if the Warriors go death lineup they should put Giannis at the 5 and switch everything.
