- I got the "Hotel Hell" badge without buying anything from the shop. It took me just a few attempts. I picked 17 modifiers that I think are not that hard. Try my modifiers and tell me if you got the badge too. Or.. share your list of modifiers.

Just a suggestion: Sense you're using the Out Of Stuff modifier, band aids won't appear anywhere, and you can't get the Skeleton Key to use the Herb thanks to El Goblinos Payday, and therefore you cant heal past the 50% you enter with using Tripped. This means that you could just replace Tripped with Last Few Breaths, and they function the exact same in this case. This also means that you can remove one 5% modifier, as Last Few Breaths gives 10%, and Tripped gave 5%. Personally I removed I'm Runnin' Here because Rushes extra speed can make all the difference sometimes.

I totally agree but I'm Runnin' Here is fine. It can only be a problem at the Greenhouse, if you try to speed through it. I suggest that at the greenhouse that when opening a door just turn to the right and camp the closet in case Rush is coming.

Getting Hotel Hell was probably the hardest thing I’ve had to do in Doors. Even worse than A-1000, Super Hard Mode and Void Buster.
On the run where I got it, I had Bad Electrical Work AND Come Back Here on, so when I was getting the switches in The Electrical Room, I was panicking the whole time because not only was Figure faster, but the entire room was slowly getting dark to the point where I couldn’t see and had to rely on sound.
And when I got to the elevator, I let out the loudest sigh of relief and couldn’t stop shaking from all of that.
It’s shocking just how much harder Doors can be with a few changes.
Modifiers Used: Soundproofing, El Goblino's Payday, Bad Electrical Work, Tripped and Fell, Nowhere to Hide, Key Key Key Key, Nosey, Think Fast, Battle of Wits, Back for Seconds, You Really Can Run, Come Back Here, Stop Right There, Are Those Pancakes, Rent's Due.

Same but i got lucky cus the map went pitched black as soon as i was waiting a good time to go electric room
I did it for Not Five Stars but I know how u feel about it.
I think Figure got stuck or something cos I waited in one of the multi shelves room for him to pass by so I could try to calculate when to move, but when it took too long I just went, luckily I made it to the small room and then he finally came.
Afterward I made my way to the box.
Tbh super hard mode was harder then this.
Also void buster is ez asf if you do it in a duo and get a good map and use the correct heros
Your step by step taught me avoiding these scummy entities. i died in first try in door 100 because how figure was fast to catch me. so In 2nd try i had to buy vitamins to outspeed the figure. This time i survived till door 100 up to elevator and i've received "Hotel Hell" achievement because of you. Thank you so much. 😎

I was just searching for tutorials since some people been saying this badge is difficult to achieve and I suddenly found this video. Watched once and it helped me a lot. Got the badge on my third attempt. Wanna thank for well explained guide, that for real worked out for me 😁👍
This is also not too hard, I won using the following:
- Room For More (20%) (If you haven't escaped The Rooms, may choose between Electrical Work or Screech/Eyes or Guiding Light modifiers to make up the 20%)
- El Goblino's Payday (15%)
- Out Of Stuff (15%)
- Key Key Key Key (15%)
- Nowhere To Hide (15%)
- Last Few Breaths (10%)
- I'm Runnin' Here (5%)
- Battle Of Wits (15%)
- Itchy (5%)
- You Really Can Run (5%)
- Back For Seconds (10%)

* Tips: - Crucify Seek, Ambush, Dupe, (Screech). Escape at door 200-ish in the Rooms first if you haven't got the badges needed for some of the modifiers.
- Try to get Not Five Stars badge first (should be manageable)
- Say out loud the door number you just passed or record your gameplay for Dupe.
- Listen to Guiding Light's sound for keys to minimize the chances of meeting Timothy in drawers, instead of opening every drawer.
- Recommended to buy all 4 items in pre-run shop.
- Patience is key, so whenever you open a door, look out for Snares, find a closet, stay there for a bit to see if Rush, Ambush, A-60, A-120 shows up, if not, you're good to go (also don't enter the closet right away, wait until the entity comes close)
- Look both left and right quickly in Seek's chase to avoid going the wrong way in the hallways.

i wouldnt use key key key man i would use the almost all doors are locked thing and then something cuz u know its gonna be every door locked with key key key and if u die you take another 50 minutes man

i dont mind using key key key but its just too difficult to do and takes a long time like i had rush hour itchy and key key key as a modifier like the gives 3 random modifiers and i died on door 35 and it took about 31 minutes to get to that bc to find the key it was impossible sometimes in a dark room and when u get to the end the last 10 doors fully dark rooms and rush attacks when u dont expect it yea its just a no no@@yta691

If you have Back For Seconds, Ambush may attack you after Seek or Halt ( I got Ambush 4 times lol ) 😂
I wouldn’t use roundabout, about 9/10 times halt will kill you:‘you will either die from how fast he is and from health, or you will run out of time. But that’s just for me

I got the Hotel Hell Badge quite quickly actually. Here are the modifiers I used!
Soundproofing
Out Of Stuff (I bought all 4 items at the beginning at elevator, but is not necassary to be honest)
El Goblino's Payday
Last Few Breaths
Nowhere To Hide (this one is actually a freebie, there are many places to hide at the time I am writing this)
Locked And Loaded (also a slight freebie)

You Really Can Run

Roundabout (At the time I am writing this there is a glitch you can use for this that will make it really easy, when halt is in front of you go to the side, like touch the wall at the side because halt can't get you there but when halt is behind you just keep on going forward.)

Back For Seconds (Ambush usually comes right after the 1st seek chase so theres a heads up for you)

ALSO A GENERAL TIP YOU CAN USE ANYTIME WHEN YOUR PLAYING DOORS IS AT DOOR HUNDERED IF YOU HAVE A LOCKPICK USE IT ON THE ELECTRICAL ROOM DOOR THAN GO IN THAT ROOM AND WAIT UNTIL GUIDING LIGHT COMES THEN YOU CAN EASILY FIND ALL FUSES AND GUIDING LIGHT WILL ACT LIKE A LIGHT SOURCE (ACTIVATE FIGURE BY THE LEVER AFTER GUIDING LIGHT IS ACTIVE) (TO KNOW IF GUIDING LIGHT IS ACTIVE YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE GATES, IF YOU SEE A BLUE LIGHT IT MEANS GUIDING LIGHT IS ACTIVE) (ONLY TIME YOU CAN'T USE IT IF YOU EQUIP THE GONE FISHING MODIFIER)
These are all very good except for Bad Time and Nowhere to Hide. They might've updated it since you made this comment. But now,
Bad Time makes Rush be able to spawn over and over again, really unfairly. Double and Triple Rush is possible with Bad Time.
Nowhere to Hide only actually affects the Greenhouse. (besides making entities be able to spawn in no closet rooms) It removes almost all cupboards from the greenhouse, making there only be 1 or 2 cupboards in each room.
@Mr.Icicles I will check the 2 and let you know. I am not sure about bad time, but I know that greenhouse doesn't change. I was recently playing a match with nowhere to hide, and there was no difference.
@Mr.Icicles actually I just read your comment again and before I see if this is true I actually think the reason you are getting many rushes in a room is not because of bad time its because of rush hour. Rush hour does that. Bad time simply makes it spawn more. Like, let's say rush can spawn twice in every 15 doors. With bad time it can spawn 4 times. And the greenhouse cupboard thing, you probably did a few places to hide, that affects cupboards in greenhouse majorly.
@@shanzayabid1004 Tbh I thought so too with Bad Time, but the wiki said otherwise. I hadn't even tested it so I don't know why I said that. I do know that Rush Hour does that. With Nowhere to Hide, though, I know it does affect the greenhouse. I once got there with it and the greenhouse was the one from Super Hard Mode, almost no closets anywhere.
Nevermind I'm wrong, I just looked and the thing I said about Bad Time isn't true. Rush can only unfairly come if the modifier is Rush Hour, Really Bad Time, or Worst Time Ever. Not Bad Time. Also, I just completed a run with Hotel Hell. Nowhere to Hide was one of the mods, but the greenhouse didn't change. It was probably A Few Places to Hide, then.

I’m trying to beat the HARDEST Ambush modifier, my furthest was door 88. Ambush can spawn on door 50 and even 100. The greenhouse may be the hardest part of the challenge. Not only will I have to deal with Rush, but Ambush will also spawn. The no hiding spots in the greenhouse will work for Rush but not for Ambush. Also, Ambush can stack which will make the crucifix useless.
Not for me he didn’t spawn in greenhouse nor door 50/100

Getting Hotel Hell was a refreshing experience. The base game is just way too easy after you did everything (exception: Greenhouse) but with the modifiers you can make the game harder in ways you like.
My Modifiers were:

These modifiers make the game kinda like a hard mode where every entity is buffed.

2 days ago i gave a run to win the Hotel Hell badge and i made it to door 100, i had injuries modifier and screech bit me so i was slow too, especially when crouching because i also had My knees are killing me. I also had both Soundproofing and Gone fishing so it made it even harder. After searching through all the rooms i couldn't find the last fuse, so what did i do? I have beaten rooms and have stored the scanner in the rift, so i took the scanner out and used it to find the last fuse and it was in one of the rooms on the floor. 💀 Thankfully i managed to beat the game and return the scanner in the rift so i got the achievement too but I'm more blind than Figure.

Fun challenge idea:
Try to get through doors no hiding, but only use the coin safespot glitch (where u put your body in a coin in a drawer to survive) [except in greenhouse of course]

Eyes, Screech, Snare, and A-90 should not be appearing during Seek chases nor in Halt’s corridor. In these places Seek and Halt should be the ONLY entities appearing. And Rush also appears unexpectedly without the lights flickering.
Yes. However these are modifiers, which mean the game has been modified in a certain way that makes Eyes and Snare appear in Halts hallway and Seeks chase

Note: I did A-90 instead of Halt for most of my runs, don’t pick him he’s easy but likely bugged at door 100 he ended me there no matter how still I was.

Here's a set up that works for me the best:
* El Goblino's Payday - no gold
* Out of Stuff - no items (except when bought)
* Gone Fishing - no light hints
* Locked and Loaded - 10-30% of the doors will be locked
* Nowhere to Hide - hiding spots aren't guaranteed to appear during enemy encounters
* Last Few Breaths - 50% MAX health forever
* I'm Runnin' Here - rush comes faster (under 10 seconds)
* Battle of Wits - dupe appears frequently
* Think Fast - screech attacks a wee bit faster (and is more frequent)
* Itchy - timothy attacks more and can kill you if you're low on health
* Nosey - eyes spawn more
* You Really Can Run - seek is longer
* Back for Seconds - ambush is more difficult (spawns 1-3 times per run)
* Rent's Due - hide attacks wayy faster
* Watch Your Step - snares sometimes appear
* Stop Right There - a90 from rooms is present
Here's an explanation on why this works:
(If you don't want to do A90, I put an altered version after this paragraph)
Payday and Out of Stuff make it so you don't have to look into any drawers, which makes Itchy a freebie. This is also the reason I got Gone Fishing and not Soundproofing, you'll hear the key, decreasing the chances of Timothy jumpscaring you.
I chose Locked and Loaded over Key x4 just because it's faster and less tedious, you can replace it with Key x4 and remove Gone Fishing if no lights is a problem for you.
Nowhere to Hide is a freebie too, especially in solo runs. You'll still get closets normally, Rush/Ambush just **might** attack in rooms without any, if so go back/forward into a room with closets. (They don't really spawn in rooms without closets almost at all anyway, honestly)
Last Few Breaths isn't an issue, you won't be getting attacked much by non-instakill enemies. Eyes might be the only problem, but they don't attack much and don't deal much damage. Just don't get Screeched or Duped.
I'm Runnin' Here and Rent's Due is actually a combo that makes the game easier (imo), as I said, Rush will come within 10 seconds of opening a door. He won't surprise you coming in when you're trying to leave or anything like that. This makes it easy to time him making Rent's Due not a problem. This also makes Greenhouse easier when doing the "open the door and wait next to a closet for rush" strat, because you know he might come within 10 seconds of opening a door, if he doesn't, you're free to go.
Battle of Wits is easy to get through, just count doors and you're good to go.
You Really Can Run + Gone Fishing makes it a bit harder to do Seek, but the strat here is to look left every time you go through a door, if you don't see a number on it, turn right. If there isn't a number on any then keep going until you go to the door at the end.
Back for Seconds isn't an issue, Ambush is easy to get through, time him right and it's all good. Rent's due doesn't make this any harder as all you do is leave and go in again.
Watch Your Step is a freebie, there is little to no snares most of the time, it ain't bad at all, just watch out for them.
Stop Right There makes A90 the only enemy you have to worry about through the entire game, from door 1 to door 100. He is what makes me stressed the entire time I play this, as he's extremely unpredictable. Despite that, however, he's pretty easy once you get used to him. When he appears, all the ambience and SFX will get muted/get much much quieter, which means the only thing you can hear is his SFX that alerts you he's there. This makes it easy to get through him, especially because he's has both visual and audio cues telling you he's about to attack.
However, if you don't want to deal with a90, here's an altered version:
* Electrical Work - no light breaking (rush, seek's eyes, ambush - to an extent*)
* El Goblino's Payday - no gold
* Out of Stuff - no items (except when bought)
* Gone Fishing - no light hints
* Key Key Key Key - almost all doors are locked
* Nowhere to Hide - hiding spots aren't guaranteed to appear during enemy encounters
* Last Few Breaths - 50% MAX health forever
* I'm Runnin' Here - rush comes faster (under 10 seconds)
* Battle of Wits - dupe appears frequently
* Think Fast - screech attacks a wee bit faster (and is more frequent)
* Itchy - timothy attacks more and is deadly
* Nosey - eyes spawn more
* You Really Can Run - seek is longer
* Back for Seconds - ambush is more difficult (spawns 1-3 times per run)

Everything is almost exactly the same as before, with a few changes:
Electrical work makes it so you have to watch out for Rush even more, for this make sure you have a closet nearby that you can get into. However, if you have time to wait, find a closet and wait 10 seconds, if you don't hear Rush, then you're good to go.
Key Key Key Key is just a more tedious version of Locked and Loaded, this is what I tried to do at first, It's not that bad, just makes the gameplay longer.
* You wont know anything is coming when you open a room, but Ambush has his own SFX telling you it's him, I'm not sure if Electrical Work really affects him.
I found these as the easiest combinations I tried to do (before i did lights out + fog as night vision because you could still see silhouettes, with i'm everywhere being a freebie for screech because he'd be everywhere anyway, but seek is impossible to do that way because of the fog lol. lights out without the silhouettes is just.. terrible).
Try one of these two out if you're struggling with anything else.
FYI:
I ended up beating 150% on the non-A90 version as I was playing with a friend who didn't wanna deal with A90, but Gone Fishing was replaced with Injuries as we thought the second Seek chase was too hard, even when we made no mistakes with going the wrong way we died, but that's probably just our skill issue. If you don't take damage, you'll beat it just fine. Even if you do, if your health is above half you'll be fine.

If you are good at dealing with A-90, I recommend using A-90 modifier instead of snare.

ok first of all, no gold and no items. we don't need them. u will not be able to hear keys and stuff but you will be able to see with guiding light. more locked rooms and nowhere to hide are completely free. last few breaths: just don't take damage. I'm runnin' here and rent's due are a great combo as rush will come way faster and u can get out of the closet before hide kicks u out. dupe will spawn more so just read each door number. don't worry about think fast, it's not that bad. More eyes, just tilt ur camera a little down every time u open a door. longer seek. Ambush always spawns after the first seek chase but it's not that bad. halt but buffed is really easy if u know this trick where if u stand on a side of the hallway, he can't get u. lastly, just get better with a-90 and ur fine.

This was the easiest setup for me (on an iPad) if it interests anyone:
1. El Goblino’s Payday - No gold, whatever.
2. Out of Stuff - No rift or naturally generated tools. You don’t even need them in the greenhouse if you wait for lightning to find Snares, so I wouldn’t waste knobs either.
3. Soundproofing - No item jingling hints, just an inconvenience.
4. Locked and Loaded - Locks ~a third of the doors, just an inconvenience
5. Last Breath - Any damage from anything besides Timothy and Snare, which are thus powerless besides stunning you, is instantly fatal. Just watch the floor constantly around Eyes and when opening doors, and make sure to remember your door numbers. If you get Screech in a room with Eyes, remember that hiding despawns Screech.
6. Battle of Wits - Dupe spawns much more often and you can’t listen to the doors. This actually makes all 4-corner intersection rooms freebies, since they will always have 3 dupe doors instead of 2, which allows you to take the average of the numbers or the odd one out every time. You can try to camera behind doors and look for a black box representing Dupe if necessary. Overall, just count and remember your doors and you’ll be fine.
7. Roundabout - Halt is guaranteed at least one appearance, though by my experience it may spawn up to 4 times due to Really Bad Time. Halt is faster, so while backing up does occasionally work if you’re perfect with it, you should just turn around. The rotate symbol is also removed, so you have to turn around when you BOTH hear the static noise and see your screen distorted.
8. Really Bad Time - Most entities spawn more frequently, which I generally only notice in Eyes.
9. Rush Hour - Rush spawns more frequently, just don’t get impatient and speedrun multiple rooms at once without listening. Rush is triggered when a main door is opened, and will normally arrive within ~20 seconds.
10. I’m Runnin’ Here - Rush moves faster, more of a convenience, really.
11. Back for Seconds - Ambush spawns much more often. You have ~3 seconds when you hear an air conditioner noise, just get in a locker, get out when it leaves, and get back in immediately in case of rebound, which can happen up to 4 times. You can normally take two rebounds before getting out, but it’s risky.
12. Afterimage - Ambush is faster, again, more of a convenience really, as it makes the rebounds take up less time.
It took me like 7 hours of attempts, with each one but being ~an hour long, but I got it with practice, good luck!

That mode cost me too much, I died many times between doors 70-100, in fact, in one I died in door 100, since when figure passed by the room where I was I moved and as in the door 100 can now hear you crouching, it hears me and it kills me, but I passed it after many attempts, since these modifiers that you suggested did not work for me because snare and halt worked as a team, Since there was snare in Halt's hallway and I couldn't pass until I died because of Halt because of snare, so I removed Halt from the list of modifiers, and found the Kreekcraft's video, where I looked at the modifiers I use and I was able to pass doors "hotel hell" with these modifiers:
-Electrical Work
-The goblin's payday
-Out of stuff
-Soundproofing
-tripped
-bad time
-i'm runnin' here
-nosey
-you really can run
-watch your step
-stop right there
-battle of wits
-rent's due
-locked and loaded
-itchy
-think fast

sadly i didn't record. it took me about 2-3 days to find the most suitable modifiers for me to get "hotel hell". i'd recommend for who wanna get it that you should go solo

You can change electrical work with bad electrical work and for some reason you see difference between rush flicker and normal flicker
So you can remove im runnin here
And you can also do last few breaths because there is no heal so yuou like saved 10% modifiers
But the bad thing is at bad electrical work you cannot see at all
So get a full flash light or just change it
There’s something kinda hilarious about figure running like that the whole time

Good job I actually tried to beat it without items and I died on door 83 I think your one of the only people to do it without items also maybe now your could do but doors every room is the greenhouse by having lights out modifers the snare modifer and the eves modifer that makes them show up in every room.
