    So today we head to what is quite possibly the best wet fresh market I've ever been to, Taipei Fish Market! Located in the north part of Taipei, we head there by bus and then stumble upon a local park where older people were dancing, drinking beer & socialising. Such a chilled and relaxed vibe here, it was awesome!
    Just a few minutes walk from the park was the market, and on first impression, this market has undoubtedly the most fish in one single place that I've seen. From giant squid to salmon to king crab, if you're looking for any seafood here, you're sure to find it.
    This market is a city attraction in itself, and that's why I absolutely love wandering around and exploring these kinds of markets, I just love them!
    After walking around the market I find a stall that serves cooked seafood, I sample some soft shell batter-fried crab, giant quid, egg fish, calamari & the famous Taiwanese sausage!
    The street food vendor kept giving me freebies too! So friendly and hospitable to us foreigners!
    I can't describe to you how delicious all of these foods are, but the highlight of this seafood tasting feast has to be the giant quid; lightly battered and cooked to perfection, the natural sweetness of this squid, is unlike anything I've had...ever!!
    So this squid makes it to my number one seafood of all time!
    This market is just something amazing, if you're in Taipei, and want a local take on how people shop here, this is the place for you!
    Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy my video 😊🇹🇼😊

    As long as the seafoods are fresh, you'll always enjoy them. That deep fried squid is just a basic, when you travel to the markets of seaports, you could pay the restaurants a service fee for them to cook the seafoods that you just buy at the ports, that's absolut delicious.😋

    • @DanvsFood
      @DanvsFood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought maybe I could do that at this market, but they only had the indoor part with the super expensive crabs where we can choose them ask them to cook. Thanks for watching Phoebe 🙏🇹🇼🙏

      « 上引水產 » belongs to a restaurant group. There’s a Japanese restaurant in this group : 三井日本料理。
      The set menu of 三井 cost from NTD1500 to NTD3200, they are very good, and it’s the medium price for the Japanese restaurant in Taiwan. I love Japanese cuisine, from time to time, go to a good Japanese restaurant is a great pleasure 😋😋😋

    Your favorite item at the market is actually cuttlefish, not squid. It's our favorite too as well. If you can find a place that serves it with five spice and Taiwanese basil, it's even better! :) The word for squid and cuttlefish in Chinese is sometimes the same but you'll know the difference just by the size. What time were you at the market? I know it's outside of Aquatic Addiction Market but I've never been to that one, do you know the name of it or the street it was on? It looks like one of the morning ones. Enjoy Taipei! :)

      @@DanvsFood Oh and if you get a chance, go to Yong Kang Street. My husband and I lived there for 3 years. If you like small hole in the wall places, our favorite dumplings in beef soup in all of Taiwan is there. It's right at the mouth of the small park on the street, across from Smoothie House (some of the best Mango Snowflake Ice in Taiwan) one shop away from an umbrella store. Ask for pork and cabbage in beef soup, it's affordable and so good. Also, avoid the scallion pancake place that's famous on Yong Kang, it's where all the tourists go and really nothing special at all. The best scallion pancake in the entire city is a small stand close to the Taipei bus station that's only open at night in front of a Japanese restaurant called Sando House (you can google it). The stand is across the street from the 7-11, sorta in the road. Sando house sells super fresh, huge pieces of sashimi if you like that and next door there's a fresh fried donut place that always has a huge line. For the scallion pancake, ask for with egg and da lah (which means big spicy, after seeing your video where you ate all the peppers, I think you like spicy stuff). You'll love it. My hubs and I were too lazy to film stuff while we lived there but these are the places we'd recommend if we could. All the best!
