    Great video and one that you don't see often enough- I've tried to find new pieces (drip rails/rain gutters) and like you say here, they don't make them. Thanks for posting!

    Wow. Glad my '67 is from California. Just removed the stainless to check the drip rails. Drip rails are excellent. Just have to refresh the seam sealer. Great work and thanks for sharing!

    Now I don't think I would ever try to do a drip rail. Great job!

    Wow unbelievable how you found that car with only the 1 good part. I agree can't believe they don't make that part yet, at least they do sell roof skins now (I need one).

      I'm glad I found it. I'm always scoping out old cars. I know where there are several Mustangs sitting, but haven't asked about them ...yet.

      I have seen quite a few wrecked and junk yard dog stangs in my day but that may be the single most mangled one yet.

    Hello Barry, I have a 1965 mustang that I have had for about 22 years now. I had some engine issues with it and stopped driving it about 18 years ago. Then I met my wife and kids came along and it's been sitting in the garage since. Two winters ago my son (then 9) and I took everything apart on it and started rebuilding it. I love your videos they are super informative, thank you very much for them. I have some rust under the front of the drip rail. It's not like the car you were rebuilding but the donor car. I was looking for drip rails and found that they didn't make them for the coupe. I was thinking I would cut front section off fix the rust under the drip rail then weld it back on. Could you please give me some thoughts on what you would do. Thank you. Mike.

      If your drip rail is solid, you can do that. Many others have done the same. You can also buy drip rails for a fastback, and cut what you need.

    You not got a bead roller mate? Drip rail and gutter strip a classic use for it. Pretty cheap and easy to use.

    Do you need the spindles? are they straight enough to use??? Brake system?? I'm about 4-5 hours away and can come get them, take them off if needed.

    Just wondering where you bought the drip rails from and if you still have them would you sell them

    • @JoDaddysGarage
      @JoDaddysGarage  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      10223220 I didn't buy them, I salvaged them from the donor car. They don't make them for the coupes that I know of. They are available for the fastback models through Mustangs Unlimited.

      I managed to save a little trim, and some glass. Also cut out the radio area to use in the other car....

    wow seeems like the long way around to me. Looking at the fast back one and what was wrong with your part and being that most of that I think I could have re arched the fast back one then but welded it to the middle of what was on your door. Overlap welded and Frankensteined some metal pieces to fit that one in. Re arched it to fit. Just the trip to pick up and get rid of that old car would have offset the extra work to me. Here is the build I did for my buddy in just under 5 weeks. th-cam.com/video/7fpZNTyc4qo/w-d-xo.html

    that's what i fear about your project car, that someday someone will hurt it
