I really enjoy watching your videos from the past and go back and revisit them you always point out the best way to do this looking forward for the next video thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
It’s nice to hear what fits and what doesn’t, and what you make fit. I was interested to see your method of fixing the curve in a outer vwheelhouse. I struggled with this myself.
I just purchased a plasma cutter, man does make things a lot better, now I'm not doing or planning on complete reto job but just rust repair. A lot of people would let that type of job turn them away, but what you did proves that with a little tools and the want to it can be done !
Oh, shoot! I'm going to have to look up this series. My 'Project' car, which is the car I had in High School, is a 1965 Mustang coupe, 289 2 barrel, Automatic transmission, and a split bench seat. That's My Car!
1) I like dynacorn products. I ordered a rear valance panel from them after messing around with an inferior one from another company. This one is thicker and pretty much falls into place. 2) thank you for this video! I’ve been trying to figure out where to weld in my rear, outer seatbelt mounts. (Bad job by a company o hired years ago), and you inadvertently answered that question for me. (At least in the ballpark)
I was welding in shock tower reinforcement plates behind the coil spring on my 67 Cougar. I knew I was getting low on gas. Thought I could finish first side then get more gas. I ran out in the middle of the first side. Grinding out the bad weld was difficult. No space for angle grinder. My 120volt 30 gallon air compressor doesn’t keep up with die grinder.
Love that you are doing this. I am tackling a 1969 Mach 1 and my dynocorn floor is sitting in my garage. My equipment is just as you had in this video. I am scared to death of starting the plasma cuts though. You mentioned you had a jig, can you share the dimensions and make-up of said jig? Any assurances for my anxiety of cutting would be helpful. A jig would be just the thing.
I have a completed car paint and all. I took it to my buddy who is in to cars and we got it on his lift and the one floor support is completely shot and rust on lots of other areas. Am I able to replace the entire floor like you did from trunk to toe area with it being complete if we remove the engine and trans. Along with the entire interior?
I wish you could do my 66, unfortunately it may end up scrap, another shop really stuck it to me good. Cheap metal parts improperly installed and lots of new rust where there was no rust before, and paid for work that never was done.
Hi, Can you provide the links to the next video in that series in the description? I would like to have a link to click so I can watch the rest of the series on that build.
Not sure I mentioned a jig. However I did. Build a jig later. Look up boat trailer jig. Mobile Mustang frame jig. Part 3. th-cam.com/video/oQqKGQpeb60/w-d-xo.html

Grate job Barry, nice to get pointers from the past before you found away to upgrade your shop to make things better.! A flash from the past 👍👍

Somethings are timeless like this video.
Nicely done back then. You are a true craftsman.

One of my favorite
Great 1 piece unit.
Keep the Retro coming Barry!
Hey Barry. What an excellent idea doing a "retro series"! Really enjoyed it and fully support it. Best regards from Steve in New Zealand.

Loved the video
Great video. 👍
Good tech makes a difference! I can't hardly watch anything below 360p anymore.
Great idea Barry . Enjoyed it very much.

Boy that was sometime ago. You showed that with limited tools anything be done. Good job Barry, c-ya Monday nite. T/B😊
You always do quality work
Very interesting to watch

Have you seen the Cobra Jet series? I’m doing the whole car in that one. I made the jig from a boat trailer. Videos on that too.

Without seeing it I can’t say for sure. Possible? Yes. Difficult, yes.

Sorry to hear that.
In the process of doing this on my channel right now sure wish I had a brain to pick ⛏️

If you want to see more, there is a playlist called light blue mustang. I do plan on re-editing more of these. Thanks.
You mentioned that you used a jig? Any details in the jig or how you checked it to be level?

Sorry. I sold that car before any work was done to it. But it was a 4 speed car. I think I still have the clutch pedals somewhere.
