Hi Dr. Janine! Great video! I started taking bromelain supplement to help with my floaters. It's supposed to help break down the excess collagen/proteins in floaters. I've also heard intermittent fasting helps, which I do during the week.

Have you had the vitrectomy procedure? That may help you. I am sorry your vision is so bad. I am just going through this floater nightmare. It's like I now have a pet spider that keeps flying toward my face when on my computer. I ordered an eye patch for the bad days. Will look into some of this doctor's suggestions as well. @@doctorjanine WIth all due respect, some of your advice is dangerous. Omega threes THIN the blood -- which can and does cause vitreous hemorrhaging -- one of the worst type of floaters. Also looking into the sun? One of the main causes of vitreous detachment!
Hello, thanks for these tips. My eye Dr was very disheartening about them. Have you heard about putting castor oil in your eyes for floaters? What are your thoughts on this practice, in addition to your other tips? Thank you.
Good comment, I was putting castor oil on top of my eye lid and rubbing it in and was wondering if I can drop some in my eyes. Maybe even black seed oil to put inside the eye?
Or after a glaucoma operation when a film forms at the back of the eye. Then this is broken up by laser treatment. This leaves bits behind that show up as floaters. My consultant told me three weeks and they will disappear. They didn’t now I’m on drips up to four times daily. At least this is helping the dry eye. I do have his number in my phone. If I get really worried and stressed can give him a call. I understand that they don’t want to tell you of the side effects . But I’m one of those who want to given a full risk assessment on it. I don’t think you can make an informed decision. Regarding your eye surgery and a proper timescale on the floaters. My consultant was amazing I think these floaters are just a symptom of me worrying when I don’t need too.

When will my floaters go away? I had them for 2 months and I had laser surgery because of diabetic retinopathy.
