CM is a definite must. But, as I said in the video, there's a lot more depth to it than I could really cover in a short video. If nothing else, it's quicker than the stock launcher too!
Other nice features include being able to invite friends on Discord or other places with an automatic link that CM generates. Or the ability to share setups and presets with a single click. Or the very nice server generator. It is really amazing how much stuff Ilja crammed into CM considering how small the exe file is.

CM has been a game changer! It just kept surprising me with features baked into the app! Just when I thought I'd have trouble launch DBOX with CM, I found that CM has already made DBOX integration built into the app itself! Also the ability to keep my car showroom consistent by taking screenshot of each car automatically and the ease to replace sound/tires just made life so much easier!
Heh, that's a new one on me. Ilja seems to do a great job of adding new features with every build. But it's not always obvious they're there unless you read the release notes!
had an issue that in the end was nothing to do with Content manager but was a sound-card issue , i had great help from the CM creator Ilja . I adore Content Manager and agree its one of the better UI mods i have ever used and changed AC totally for me .

Sturdy, I've not had a play around with AC Car Tuner yet, but that's pretty much sold me on the idea. I can see many hours of tinkering in my future! Also, that Rustang is a thing of beauty.
Been trying to figure that out...and the link sharing to download directly into CM...will fiddle with it a bit more. Would think "drag and drop" would be easy, but I haven't discovered the secret yet (hehe).

Hey flymof1racing flymo - thanks man, much appreciated. CM definitely makes things a lot simpler. Particularly if you switch between hardware setups a lot. I recently added triple screens, so I need to be able to switch between triples, VR and single monitor (for recording replays). CM means I can do that in one click. Presets, every game should allow you to save presets!

Hey R-VR closet - I hate the phrase, as it tends to be hyperbole, but Content Manager genuinely is a Game Changer, in every sense. Having that much more control of Assetto Corsa has made is so much more enjoyable and versatile.
In the custom showroom you can click parts like the body or any other and get teh names. Very useful since even skins use custom names and without them, you wouldn't be able to make. Also you can set custom preview pictures like this i.imgur.com/Sxkn6D5.jpg PS: besides the name, you can get a UV map and the wireframe too. Essentially no need for a skin template
definitely. Kinda blew my mind when i stumbled over it. You can also edit the shader values to some extend. The NSX mod for example, has plastic looking tyres, but with a preset from one of the original Kunos cars, this can be fixed in no time as well. CM automatically makes a backup of the original .kn files too so no permanent harm is done. I haven't tried how this modded .kn file would affect online mode since nobody uses the NSX anymore. But still cool at least for screenshots/previews. It really elevated what use i get out of AC. Puts the original launcher to shame.

Hey man, If I recall correctly Ilja will send you an authorisation code, which you then have to add to content manager. I think he does this by hand - it took about 12 hours when I did it. If you don't recieve the code in 24 hours, I'd email Ilja.

For some reason Avast blocks threat when I open content manager. Anyone knows why it does that and how can i turn it off ? I mean CM should be safe right, it should not have any type of malware.
@@ChrisHaye I've been using Avast with Content Manager for a while as well, Maybe for like 6 months and had no problem like that. Just few days ago it started poping up. I tried scaning it, scaning the pc and tried puting it into whitelist in Avast and nothing worked. I will try reinstalling it today and see if it helps.
Is it true you can put in varying AI strengths to get a range of AI abilities (such as 80% strength through say 90%) to have a more dynamic race with AI racers of differing abilities?
Hey Nazareth434 - yep, you can set the AI range. So for example you can have AI between 80 and 100% strength in a race, which is very useful. However, it works best in race weekend mode, as you need to run a qualifying session, or the fast AI cars can get badly held up behind the slower ones!
Hi yes really good video, very informative, i have a question to ask if i may , i have dowloaded flames mods from race department, and install it correctly i know i have put it in the correct folder but i still see the old ugly flames no matter what i do, i have ask around in forum and so on but no one seems to know what to do, its pain i don't really know where to turn anymore? any help would be appreciated. thankyou

Hey Christophers. Yes, it's not obvious, but you have to download the free version, then when you donate Ilja will send you a licence code which will unlock the Pro features.
HOW exactly do I install MODS with it ?? when I select the mods folder where all my mods are, and "enable" them in CM, nothing happens. Do I need to reinstall the game for it to fully work ?

The process for installing mods using CM is as follows: 1) Drag the download file (.zip) from your explorer window onto the CM window (doesn't matter where) 2) Click the little menu at the top right of the CM window (icon has three horizontal lines) 3) Click the "install" button underneath the picture of the .zip file You shouldn't need to reinstall the game, or restart CM. Everything should just work. CM even cleans up the files it extracts during the process.

Hey Chris! I've got Content Manager but I'm having some sort of issue trying to launch a practice session. Every time I select things and then say "Go" (whether a mod or not), it just comes up with "Race cancelled" and then proceeds to launch the original game as normal. What could be the issue????
interesting, not sure. It might help to make sure that Steam is already running in the background before you start Content Manager. Also make sure that the track layout you select is compatible with the type of session you wish to run, for example a race session might not work on a track that is not a complete loop like with some of the layouts for the LA Canyons track mod. I created a guide for AC which includes the Content Manager th-cam.com/video/759TcHZCBww/w-d-xo.html I don't know if there is anything in there which might help but it might be worth a try :)

For some reason my Logitech 920 doesn't work with this. Maddening. Works with stock AC. I gave up, was really loving this interface over stock.
