I had doubts but after using it my mind was blown! I think of the people/person that programmed this and I can only think "my hero" it's incredibly smooth. Even works in the Quest 1.
I guess it still is a bit early days but is a possibly a glimpse of what might be possible. I am sure more work needs to be done. They have a discord and I would value user feed back as long as it isn't too demanding. It would be absolute amazing if we could press play in blender and puppet an empty in VR.
Is there a way to keyframe through the headset so you can get realistic hand held footage? I saw a video of a guy doing it but he was using code and isn't sharing it.
While you can play the time line with auto key on it did not key properly with objects I picked up. May be if the camera was selected and auto key was switched on and the time line was playing that might work. I haven't tried.
I still use the mauri as in Maori I believe it's pronounced ive got my eye on freebird but I still use blenderXR 2.83 I haven't used freebird since its very first beta so I'll take a look at it again I doubt it's ready yet to knock mauri off it's perch if freebird can match mauri and exceed it I would happily pay 150 bucks for a lifetime lice se with a discount on version updates I'm a vr filmmaker and I plan to make my entire projects in vr and ar as much as possible it seems from how far we are into the video that freebird has matured well I will defo be installing this again
I'm a VR game developer this tool can be useful to get the scale right. I'll give it a go!

It's marui, not maori.
It’s pronounced marooee. It’s Japanese for future.
Future is mirai, not marui.
