I'm Brazilian and I met the band Jackyl on a trip I made to America in 1994. As life is amazing, I still listen to the songs and smell the cd I bought at the time! Here in Brazil the band is little known, but I helped to spread its legacy 🇧🇷

Listened to Skynyrd in rhe late 70s as a itty bitty kid. 2 older brothers had a collection of vinyl Id listen to when they were gone. Listened to COC in the Army in 94 or 95.. Love both
I was a big fan from the 1992 release. Tracked him down at a couple of FL shows. He was very sweet, allowed me & my gal pal to get some great pics of us hugging on him.
@@Kylor80sMetalFanAnd put so many traveling rock & roll bands out of work. I was one of those...had to get a day job and play when I could find a Rock & Roll gig. Never would play the grunge crap...refused to play it. But it died really quickly in the clubs because people would not pay to go see the grunge stuff. Major tours were 3 or 4 bands of grunge artists and here in Atlanta they mostly played our arena 1/2 house. Within 2 years all the clubs were back to R&R bands...but the road work was gone for the most part.
Yes they did also saw them at the racetrack outside of Jonesboro. They called it the low dough listener appreciation concert. Z100 put both on them on and it was $5 to get in.
Guinness World Records Jackyl has set two Guinness world records, one for playing 100 concerts in 50 days, and one for performing 21 concerts in a 24-hour period.
I saw these guys back in the mid 90's at the worlds fair park in knoxville TN when they were trying to get in the guinness book of world records for most shows played in thirty days. They put on a kick ass show, and they also made it in the record books. One of the best live bands I have seen.
One of the greatest voices of rock n roll history. Have loved these guys since the very beginning. And I'm still listening to them. Love all my jackyl fans world wide.
Saw them in a little bar in Colorado Springs. My wife and I still tell the story of how Dupree carved the name Jackyl into a ceiling beam with his chainsaw while performing The Lumberjack. Very legible, bonus points for his penmanship. I was thinking, "350 drunk concertgoers, and a crazy southern boy swinging a 2 stroke chain saw around. What could go wrong?" It was awesome, now THAT'S entertainment!
Haven’t had the privilege of seeing them live, but I’ve been a fan for a few decades thanks to my parents… but i could imagine if slipknot, shinedown and sevendust are any indication, they’d be awesome
Been a fan since the beginning. I remember when they hit Mtv and the lumber jack song was played on head Banger's ball every week. Seen them twice, both times were freaking awesome. I'd watch em again.👍🤘👊
We still start our day at the shop BLASTING this song across the whole property!! Love Jackyl!! Still some of the best rock out there. Back when rock was done right!
Did concert security for years, have been a huge Jackyl fan for decades, did security for his sons band, and I swear he sounds so much like his dad I kept expecting the next song to be Down On Me, or Lumberjack, or this 1, and had the true pleasure of doing security for Jesse and the boys as well, and be able to enjoy a Jack and Coke with them after the gig. Truly cool dudes!!!
i agree the new singer should be from jackal. i loved this band in the early 90s and still love them im written this post listening to them right now. they didn't get the credit they deserve the were one of the great bands when i was in high school.live on jackal
Been a JACKYL fan since the early 90's...seen them live more than any other band, and been to quite a few shows! JJD and the boys always put on a show!! Every time there's a stretch of hot and dry weather here in NC, I play/post this tune! Rock me, roll me...
Hey ya'll, Tommytombstone Carter from fort smith, Arkansas. Seen your show at Kay Rodgers arena. Couldn't believe how great you guys that night. Anyways never a displeaser. Thank you for all the years listening to you and the great music you guys make . Thank your
Loved this band and this song the first time I heard them and still love both. My wife got the pleasure of meeting JJD at a bottle signing in Indy. She go me 3 bottles and said he was a pretty great guy, and that is a lot considering she didnt know who he was til she was forced to watch Full Throttle Saloon with me. Hope to meet JJD someday, myself. Seems like a great guy and has accomplished a lot in life with friends, family, career and overall decency.
Really an underrated band. Great vocals and guitar. True artists. I can't see why they never got the fame bigger than they have. mostly an image thing I think
I'm a landscaper in Michigan 2022 the heat of summer is around 100 degrees. Also add humidity to that its always hot and sticky so the sweat never stops. Sang it with pride I did at 25 years old. My parents raised me right I guess
If more teenagers would get into heavy metal instead of this shit that's played today and learn to play a guitar or drums their would be ...oh grow some Long hair.. your not rock n roll unless you got long hair lol 😂
I remember buying this CD at a pawn shop in Iva, SC and they are yet to be the only band I know of that actually played in the holes in the wall around here and kept rock alive by being real!
awe all make a mistake but I never did that one!!!!! Lol I used to have a radio show in Buenos Aires after leaving high school and played Jackyl so much so hard!!!!!! yeahhhhhh

Jesse noticed me on my stepmoms shoulders and I got to meet him after he played. Hopefully my work schedule clears up to see them in Maryville coming up!
I seen them in concert probably 20 years ago...and again a few years back at Easy Rider Rodeo in Chillicothe Ohio....they never missed a beat...awesome live band!!!
Kick Ass song! Brings back memories of drinking ice cold coors light, bumpin the schnapps bottle and ridding around after baseball practice in high school! Life was so good!!!
I was lucky enough to see these guys at a little bar in Cincinnati around the winter of 2002-03. They put on a great show for the stage just being big enough for the band. There's nothing like the sound of a chainsaw reverberating in a small building with a wild man on the trigger.
Met Jesse James Dupree at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach during bike week in 2014, most down to earth guy ever. Full Throttle Saloon had taken over the House of Blues, it was awesome. Been jamming to Jackyl since the first album
front row center....Angel City...one hell of a show.... this band has everything except 10 more albums just as good keep on with the beats and rythmn guitar power chords..excellent vocals excellent....!

Listened to COC in the Army in 94 or 95..
Love both
Jackyl Rocks man I miss the 90's when there was still kick ass music coming out not much anymore and it sucks. but Jackyl still ROCKS!!
My generation heard Queen, Aerosmith, all the greats for the first time. Wish they had music like this now, but at 65 I'm rockin till I drop
One of the best live bands out there. Jesse and the guys always give 110%.
Truth!
I’ve seen them 10 times at small venues and once at full throttle….they’re still amazing live to this day
I was a big fan from the 1992 release. Tracked him down at a couple of FL shows. He was very sweet, allowed me & my gal pal to get some great pics of us hugging on him.
If only we still had these bands today. At 61 I miss real music by real bands.
Take a look to Ronnie Romero. Ps : I'm 63
Jackyl is still touring...and Jessie is also out with his son touring. Check out there tour dates. Still kicking ass.
1970-1992 was the best age for music in my opinion. When grunge broke out, it really started to fall off.

Oh jackyl is still around 🎉😊
They rocked the hell out of Jonesboro , Arkansas. I was 14 and never stopped loving them

I remember seeing them, talk about ROCKIN' YOUR SOCKS OFF!!! Wish they'd come back. 🌧🌧🎶🎵🎤🎸🎸🥁🥁

So did I, fuckin badass rock and roll!, and the chicks that were there were hot as fuck, what a time it was!
Guinness World Records
Jackyl has set two Guinness world records, one for playing 100 concerts in 50 days, and one for performing 21 concerts in a 24-hour period.
Just saw them tonight in Houston, Texas, USA. Best live band I've seen in a while.
102° in the shade, smoking and drinking on the porch in Oklahoma. Happy 4th of July!
106 heat index yesterday in Nashville

Saw them twice. Great band!
One of the greatest voices of rock n roll history. Have loved these guys since the very beginning. And I'm still listening to them. Love all my jackyl fans world wide.
Jesse reminds me a. little of Dan McCafferty of. Nazareth.
Man if these guys dropped this album 10 years earlier they would have been massive
Those that know, they are Massive!!
They are another good band people just don't know they listen to that fairy f**** s***
30 years later. Still rocks!

Ya I hear ya IM singing it above for Cali and fellow countries FOR GOD TO LET IT RAIN LEZ DO IT TOGETHER DEAR >>>>JAM IT >>>>
Down on me and lumberjack

I was thinking, "350 drunk concertgoers, and a crazy southern boy swinging a 2 stroke chain saw around. What could go wrong?"
It was awesome, now THAT'S entertainment!
Haven’t seen a chainsaw on stage since Wendy O’Williams and the Plasmatics.
This is still up to date. I enjoy hearing this good music.
I've seen them live twice. It's hard to find a band that matches their energy onstage, and Jesse is one hell of a front man.
They just played in my home town too bad I moved a couple years ago
Booguah
Haven’t had the privilege of seeing them live, but I’ve been a fan for a few decades thanks to my parents… but i could imagine if slipknot, shinedown and sevendust are any indication, they’d be awesome
Opened for these guys in San Diego at the Brick by Brick. Had so much fun partying with these dudes and all the girls. Mmmmmmmm😉
