The song Naomi sings, I think it’s a cover of a Pearls Before Swine song, is my favorite Magic Hour song, (but I’ve only heard the CD that came in the black and silver gift box Ltd.Ed. of No Excess is Absurd) because it reminds me of Galaxie. That said, I love the limited amount of Crystallized movements I’ve heard and think Wayne Rogers’ guitar playing and control of earspltting feedback is phenomenal and I’m sure Kate is a force unto herself in that regard. I would have loved to see Galaxie 500 open up for Crystallized Movements back in 89 with Kramer at the sound board at Boston’s Middle East. …Then for the encore, Kramer sets up the soundboard before plugging in his own guitar. While Kramer Damon and Naomi begin the intro to Don’t Let Our Youth Go to Waste and all the members of both bands: CM’s Drum’s Bass and 2 Guitar players; G500’s Trio with Dean singing, his vocals of course preset to the max by Kramer all join in to the song at the appropriate times! Johnathan Richman is of course invited.
Thanks a lot man. Someone else has another couple magic hour songs. But this one is t most epic and my fav. This sounds to be t studio version from will they turn, yes? Of course more and some Major Stars, his newer band, would be appreciated. Thanks again.
I was probably high when I asked that. It does say "Peel Sessions" right there. Passing Words is my favorite song from Will they turn you on or turn on you?, their 2nd album , I think.
So cool - I didn't know they did a Peel Session! Thanks for posting. I traded a guy for a couple Magic Hour live bootlegs. Love to share them, I should upload them.
I remember taping this the night Peel played it ... I still have the tape.

Any info about date of recording at Peel’s studio?
