Lit' Kim is the best in the Female Rap industry, the song is banging. its Jamaican with a urban beat i cant get enough Little Kim will always hold the CROWN for RAP oh any thing and plus Mary J blige is in it and i love her them togther looks like they are having a blast (Put your Lighters UP)
Sole Arevalo Imma have to disagree respectfully. Kim's in the top 5 best and without a doubt the hardest female rapper of all time. But pure skill wise, rappers like MC Lyte, Foxy, even Lauryn just offered more versatility and fluidity to their rhymes.
Biggie and Lil Cease wrote for her … and it was never a secret: this is common knowledge. Also, this song was The Roots song. Questlove told the story on his podcast about how they did the music with Scott Storch in the studio for their Tipping Point album. Then coked up Storch gave it to Lil Kim accidentally-or intentionally for money-and it came out before The Roots album, so they had to take their version off the album. It’s still The Roots playing the music, though.
@@MelodyMoonlight17 You’re a clown. Questlove has spoken on this many times. Those are HIS drums, dummy. Scott Storch-former Roots keyboard player and producer of this track-produces tracks for every Roots album. He is playing the keys on this, but it stared with Questlove playing a break that was imitating a song heard in the background of a song playing in the background of a Samuel L Jackson radio speech in Do The Right Thing. Black Thought HAS a verse on this; it literally exists, dum dum. It was supposed to be the first single off the Tipping Point, their first Def Jam release. Unfortunately, Storch accidentally included it in a batch off beats he gave to Kim’s camp. She rapped on it, they put it out, and the rest is history. Also, Storch was on coke at this time, whether that played a part in the confusion … who knows. So he just went back into the studio and did two more joints with the Roots, including the first single “Don’t Say Nothin”. As far as Lil Kim not writing her rhymes … if you don’t already know this, I can’t help you. Just go back and look at her flow and style on the first Junior Mafia album-“get money”-and even the first album. And then compare that to later albums. lil Cease has mentioned it on Juan Epstein podcast before and other places years and years ago, but it was common knowledge on hip hop on the 90’s as well. I’m speaking about her early career, though. I don’t follow Lil Kim or know anything about her career. I’m assuming she has had many different people write for throughout her career. Early on, it was Big and Lil Cease. News flash: Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have writers as well. Kanye uses multiple writers over the years, including Drake, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and he has a handful of produces on EVERY track. Drake uses multiple writers. Many artists do have help writing. The degree to which they wrote their own lyrics depends on the artist. Some write all their lyrics, some have a little help, son have a lot of help. Did you not know this? How gullible are you? Edit: By the way, in terms of artists who have a LOT of help writing, I have a high degree of confidence that Lil Kim is one of those artists, as is Cardi B. They still have to perform and be personalities, they just don’t write most of their lyrics. I know Nicki used to have her boyfriend write her stuff when she first came out, thus the style change after they broke up. I do enjoy how confident you are in your comment, though.
@@79Glitch bruh lil cease never wrote a song and he say that in a lot of interviews, thats why he only made The wonderful world of cease a leo cause biggie wrote his whole álbum
@@Jay6lack Yeah, I may have had that wrong, but Biggie did, in fact, write for Junior Mafia and Lil Kim before he passed. Lil Kim may have written some of her stuff, but the Puffy/Bad Boy machine definitely helped orchestrate her solo career with in-house writers and producers. I know I’ve seen and heard things about that, but I guess I was mistaken about Lil Cease.
"... weak lamb get devoured by the lion in the concrete jungle. The strong stand and rumble. The weak fold and tumble. It's the land of trouble. Brooklyn. Home of the Greatest Rappers. B.I.G. comes first, then, The Queen comes after."

Damn she was beautiful like this. Should’ve never changed
I agree on the physical beauty aspect but I think her heart is still as genuine.
Well she still did a lot of things to herself in this video look at how many licks she looks so much darker in that video
She still looks beautiful
You guys realize she was already many surgeries in at this point right? This was the beginning of the end. Don't get me wrong her body was stupid on point here but her face was on the way to looking like a Muppet like she does now

She's the best in the female rap industry? Lmao... Go watch Snow tha product.. Yah.. That's right... Be amazed...
Guess you did not hear Foxy Brown
Sole Arevalo Imma have to disagree respectfully. Kim's in the top 5 best and without a doubt the hardest female rapper of all time. But pure skill wise, rappers like MC Lyte, Foxy, even Lauryn just offered more versatility and fluidity to their rhymes.
Mary King if that was true, why is Nicki still relevant?
Lauryn Hill
Lil Kim is in a class by herself, facts ❤.

Mad disrespectful not even funny
Star quality, a voice made for recording and her songs stand the test of time 👑🐝🔥🔥✨
Talent, wrote her own lyrics, and flow, and she was GORGEOUS !!! Lil Kim was all that and then some with this joint.
Flow and else you are right. But what do you know about ghost righting шановний Kevin?
