@@James-rr6uh Todd hasn’t drawn the comic in over 20 years. I don’t think he’s written it either. Of the Image guys, only Erik Larsen stayed with his original book.
Well, Dave Sim seems a sympathetic and sane enough fella, and nothing of this dark pseudo-religious madness which fills the last volumes of Cerebus, is coming out of him. Quite incredible.
It's genuinely quite frightening how personable and reasonable he appears. Goes to show that you never know what's going on with seemingly sane people, and that when you scratch the surface of such people there can be horrors beneath.
An affable guy, with interesting views; also, one of the BEST letterers out there. (I dare you to find someone with more dynamic lettering!) Now I have a voice to go with the text. His pronunciation of Jaka is a tad different than my own, but at least I'm not debating the correct pronunciation of Terim.
Man, I loved "High Society" and "Church & State." They were just perfect examples of amazing comic book storytelling...
"Does he talk"
"No."
Hahahaha! Good stuff.
Gehrard doesn't talk because of the trauma he went through with Ceberus' development
Dave: We have the longest running independent comic
Todd: I’m about to end this whole mans career
Ironic too, because Cerebus was in issue 10 of Spawn lol
Was Todd on every issue of Spawn?
@@KitchenSinkSoup I doubt it. But he has been creative director the whole time so I don’t know, it’s possible.

A favorite Dave Sim and Gerhard video. Saw it years ago and revisit it every so often. Thank you.
this is such a great piece! 5 stars!
wow....i just got back in time with those stars....
Cerebus' CHURCH & STATE storyline is my favorite work in comics, ever.
If you do the math, based on the fact that Cerebus actually has multiple panels per page, Cerebus still beats Homestuck in length. Suck it Tumblr.
probably not anymore
Yeah let's not count Homestuck^2. I don't want to acknowledge it.
Yeah fam, as far as I'm concerned that shit ain't canon.@@fistpump64
1983
My first Cerberus comic.
1982 here.
Really nice seeing Dave at his place!
glorious comic sans!
Nice!
I want that puppet too!
I'm finished reading Cerebus book 1. Now I'm on High Society! It's really interesting, if not groundbreaking for it's time and very hilarious!
Yup, he knows. In fact, Dave did an incredible cover for the Ultimate Spidey 100 project. This piece was done well before the record was broken.
The best comics
@CosmoShidan It only gets better, though also crazier.
Nice interview Shaggy. Where's Scooby Doo?

So relieved they sent a young lad to his house to do the interview, and not a girl.
i feel like i just watched a genious talk
"Happy-Go-Lively", a common APM soundtrack.
Big Ups Dave !
Fun!
Have you tried amazon?
Where could i get the graphic novels?
So...
Ian dafferin from Jean vanier Scarborough
Notice the lack of women in his house... my god... the rumors are true...
It's 2021, is Dave Sim a woke feminist yet?
well no but he admitted to grooming a kid so
Jeeze. That wasn't the answer I was expecting. Anyways...
Whomp whomp whomp.....
